< Psalms 21 >

1 To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. O Yahweh, in thy strength, will the king rejoice, and, in thy salvation, how greatly will he exult!
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ‌ʻE Sihova, ʻe fiefia ʻae tuʻi ʻi ho mālohi; pea ʻe fiefia lahi ʻaupito ia ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui.
2 The longing of his heart, hast thou given him, and, the request of his lips, hast thou not withheld. (Selah)
Kuo ke foaki kiate ia ʻae holi ʻa hono loto, pea naʻe ʻikai te ke taʻofi ʻiate ia ʻae kole ʻa hono loungutu. (Sila)
3 For thou wilt come to meet him, with the blessings of goodness, Thou wilt set on his head, a crown of pure gold.
He ʻoku ke tokoni ʻaki ia ʻae ngaahi tāpuaki ʻoe lelei: ʻoku ke ʻai ki hono fofonga ʻae tatā fakatuʻi ʻoe koula lelei.
4 Life, he asked of thee, Thou hast given it him, length of days, to times age-abiding and beyond.
Naʻa ne kole ʻae moʻui ʻiate koe, pea naʻa ke foaki ia kiate ia, ʻio, ʻae ngaahi ʻaho lōloa ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata.
5 Great is his glory, in thy salvation, Honour and majesty, wilt thou lay upon him;
‌ʻOku lahi ʻene vikiviki ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui: kuo ke tuku kiate ia ʻae fakaʻapaʻapa mo e nāunau.
6 For thou wilt appoint him blessings evermore, wilt cheer him with joy by thy countenance;
He kuo ke ngaohi ia ke mātuʻaki monūʻia ʻo taʻengata: kuo ke fakafiefia lahi ʻaupito ia ʻaki ho fofonga.
7 For, the king, is trusting in Yahweh, and, in the lovingkindness of the Highest, shall he not be shaken.
He ʻoku falala ʻae tuʻi kia Sihova, pea ko e meʻa ʻi he ʻaloʻofa ʻoe Fungani Māʻolunga ʻe ʻikai ueʻi ia.
8 Thy hand, will find out, all thy foes, Thine own right hand, will find out them who hate thee.
‌ʻE ʻilo ʻe ho nima ʻa ho ngaahi fili kotoa pē: pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻakinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate koe.
9 Thou wilt make them like a furnace of fire, at the time of thy presence, —Yahweh, in his anger, will swallow them up, and there shall consume them a fire:
Te ke ngaohi ʻakinautolu ke hangē ko e ngotoʻumu vela ʻi he ʻaho ʻo hoʻo tuputāmaki: ʻe fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻe Sihova ʻi hono houhau, ʻe keina ʻo ʻosi ʻakinautolu ʻe he afi.
10 Their fruit—out of the earth, wilt thou destroy, and their seed, from among the sons of men;
Te ke fakaʻauha honau fua mei he fonua, mo honau hako mei he ngaahi fānau ʻae tangata.
11 For they have held out, against thee, a wicked thing, They have devised a scheme they cannot accomplish.
He naʻa nau tokanga ke fai kovi kiate koe: naʻa nau fakatupu ʻae mahalo kovi, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai te nau faʻa fai.
12 For thou wilt cause them to turn their back, Upon thy bow-strings, wilt thou make ready against their face.
Ko ia te ke fai ke fulituʻa ʻakinautolu, ʻoka ke ka ʻai ʻae ngaahi ngahau ki he uka ki he mata ʻokinautolu.
13 Be exalted, O Yahweh, in thy strength! With song and with string will we sound forth thy power.
Ke ke māʻolunga, ʻE Sihova, ʻi he mālohi ʻoʻou: ko ia te mau hiva mo fakamālō ai ki hoʻo māfimafi.
