Psalms 16
1 A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.
Un poema de David. Presérvame, Dios, porque me refugio en ti.
2 Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.
Alma mía, tú has dicho a Yahvé: “Tú eres mi Señor. Aparte de ti no tengo nada bueno”.
3 It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight
En cuanto a los santos que están en la tierra, ellos son los excelentes en quienes está todo mi deleite.
4 They multiply their idols—another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.
Se multiplicarán las penas de los que dan regalos a otro dios. No ofreceré sus libaciones de sangre, ni tomar sus nombres en mis labios.
5 Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.
Yahvé asignó mi porción y mi copa. Hiciste que mi suerte fuera segura.
6 The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.
Las líneas me han caído en lugares agradables. Sí, tengo una buena herencia.
7 I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, —Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.
Bendeciré a Yahvé, que me ha aconsejado. Sí, mi corazón me instruye en las estaciones nocturnas.
8 I have set Yahweh before me continually, because he is on my right hand, I shall not be shaken!
He puesto a Yahvé siempre delante de mí. Porque él está a mi derecha, no seré conmovido.
9 Therefore, hath my heart rejoiced, and mine honour exulted, Yea, my flesh, shall settle down securely;
Por eso mi corazón se alegra y mi lengua se regocija. Mi cuerpo también habitará en seguridad.
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption: (Sheol h7585)
Porque no dejarás mi alma en el Seol, ni permitirás que tu santo vea la corrupción. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, —Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
Me mostrarás el camino de la vida. En tu presencia hay plenitud de alegría. En tu mano derecha hay placeres para siempre.
