Psalms 16
1 A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.
Odlična pesem Davidova. Reši me, Bog mogočni; ker k tebi pribegam:
2 Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.
Gospodu govoriš: Gospod si moj, blaga mojega ne bodeš hranil pri sebi:
3 It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight
Svetim, ki so v deželi in veličastnim ga podeliš; na katerih je vse razveseljevanje moje.
4 They multiply their idols—another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.
Njim množijo bolečine kateri drugemu delé; daroval ne bodem njih krvavih daritev, ne jemal njih imen na ustne svoje.
5 Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.
Gospod je delež pristave moje in mojega ljudstva; ti vzdržuješ osodo mojo.
6 The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.
Mérne vrvi so mi pale v preprijetnih krajih; tudi posestvo je sprelepo, katero me je doletelo.
7 I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, —Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.
Blagoslavljal bodem Gospoda, kateri mi je dal sovèt; tudi ponoči me podučujejo obisti moje.
8 I have set Yahweh before me continually, because he is on my right hand, I shall not be shaken!
Predočujem si Gospoda neprestano; ker je na desnici moji, ne omahnem.
9 Therefore, hath my heart rejoiced, and mine honour exulted, Yea, my flesh, shall settle down securely;
Zatorej se veseli srce moje in raduje se slava moja; tudi meso moje prebiva brez skrbi.
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption: (Sheol h7585)
Ker duše moje ne bodeš pustil v grobu, ne pripustil ljubljencu svojemu, da vidi trohnobo. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, —Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
Naznanjaš mi življenja stezo; najslajših radosti obilost pred obličjem tvojim, na desnici tvoji vekomaj.
