Psalms 148
1 Praise ye Yah, Praise Yahweh, out of the heavens, Praise him, in the heights;
Alleluja! Lobpreist den Herrn im Himmel! Lobpreist ihn in den Höhen!
2 Praise him, all his messengers, Praise him, all his host;
Lobpreist ihn, alle seine Engel! Lobpreist ihn, alle seine Scharen!
3 Praise him, sun and moon, Praise him, all ye stars of light;
Lobpreiset ihn, du Sonne und du Mond! Lobpreist ihn, all ihr hellen Sterne!
4 Praise him, O ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens;
Du höchster Himmel, preise ihn und ihr Gewässer überm Himmel!
5 Let them praise the Name of Yahweh, for, he, commanded, and they were created;
Des Herren Namen sollen sie lobpreisen! Denn er gebot; da waren sie geschaffen.
6 So caused he them to stand perpetually—age-abidingly, A decree, hath he given, and it passeth not beyond.
Er läßt sie stehn für alle Zeiten und macht es zum Gesetz, das nimmer kraftlos wird.
7 Praise Yahweh, out of the earth, sea monsters, and all resounding deeps;
Lobpreist den Herrn, die ihr auf Erden weilet, ihr Meerestiere, all ihr Meeresfluten!
8 Fire and hail, snow and vapour, stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
Du Feuer, Hagel, Schnee und Sturmgewölk, du Sturmwind, seines Winks gewärtig.
9 Ye mountains, and all hills, fruit trees, and all cedars;
Ihr Bergeshöhen, all ihr Hügel, ihr Fruchtbäume, ihr Zedern all!
10 Thou wild-beast, and all ye cattle, crawling creature, and bird of wing;
Du Wild und all ihr zahmen Tiere, Gewürm und ihr beschwingten Vögel!
11 Kings of earth, and all peoples, Rulers, and all judges of earth;
Ihr Erdenkönige, ihr Völker all, ihr Fürsten alle und ihr Erdenrichter!
12 Young men, yea even virgins, elders, and children.
Ihr Jünglinge, ihr Jungfrauen, ihr Greise und ihr Jungen!
13 Let them praise the Name of Yahweh, for lofty is his Name alone, His splendour is over earth and heavens.
Lobpreisen sollen sie des Herren Namen! Denn hoch erhaben ist allein sein Name, und seine Herrscherwürde ist erhaben über Erd und Himmel.
14 Therefore hath he exalted a horn for his people, a praise for all his men of lovingkindness, for the sons of Israel—a people near him, Praise ye Yah!
Und seinem Volk verleiht er große Macht. Lobpreisen dürfen ihn all seine Frommen, die Kinder Israels, das Volk, das ihm so nahe steht. Alleluja!
