Psalms 140
1 To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Rescue me, O Yahweh, from the men of mischief, From the men of violence, wilt thou preserve me:
Yahweh, luwasa ako gikan sa mga daotan; ipahilayo ako sa mga tawong bangis.
2 Who have devised mischiefs in their [heart], Every day, do they stir up wars:
Naglaraw (sila) ug daotan sulod sa ilang mga kasingkasing; (sila) ang hinungdan sa mga panag-away sa matag-adlaw.
3 They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent, —The poison of the asp, is under their lips. (Selah)
Makasamad ang ilang mga dila susama sa mga serpente; ug ang lala sa bitin anaa sa ilang mga ngabil. (Selah)
4 Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the lawless one, From the man of violence, wilt thou preserve me, —who have devised, to thrust at my steps:
Ipahilayo ako sa mga kamot sa daotan, Yahweh, panalipdi ako sa mga tawong bangis nga naglaraw sa pagpuo kanako.
5 The proud have hidden a snare for me, and, cords, have they spread as a net beside the track, Snares, have they set for me. (Selah)
Nagbutang ug lit-ag ang mga garboso alang kanako; nagbukhad (sila) ug pukot; nagbutang (sila) ug bitik alang kanako. (Selah)
6 I have said unto Yahweh, My GOD, thou art! Give ear, O Yahweh, unto the voice of my supplications.
Miingon ako kang Yahweh, “Ikaw ang akong Dios; paminawa ang akong mga paghilak sa pagpakiluoy.”
7 O Yahweh, My Lord, my saving strength, thou hast screened my head in the day of battle.
Yahweh, akong Ginoo, gamhanan ka ug makahimo sa pagluwas kanako, gipanalipdan mo ang akong ulo panahon sa gubat.
8 Do not grant, O Yahweh, the desires of the lawless one, his device, do not promote, They would exalt themselves. (Selah)
Yahweh, ayaw ihatag ang mga gitinguha sa daotan; ayaw tugoti nga molampos ang ilang mga laraw. (Selah)
9 As for the head of them who surround me, Let the mischief of their lips cover them:
Kadtong mga nag-alirong kanako nagpataas sa ilang mga ulo; tugoti nga ang pagpasipala sa ilang kaugalingong mga ngabil maoy motabon kanila.
10 May there be dropped on them live coals, —Into the fire, may they be let fall, into watery pits [from which] they shall not rise.
Tugoti nga mahulogan (sila) ug nagdilaab nga mga uling; itambog (sila) ngadto sa kalayo, didto sa walay kataposan nga bung-aw ug dili na gayod makatungha pa.
11 As for the slanderer, let him not be established in the earth, —As for the man of wrongful violence, let misfortune hunt him with thrust upon thrust.
Hinaot nga ang mga tawong mabutangbutangon dili maluwas sa kalibotan; hinaot nga gukdon sa daotan ang bangis nga tawo aron patyon siya.
12 I know that Yahweh will execute, the right of the oppressed one, the vindication of the needy.
Nasayod ako nga ang hukom ni Yahweh dapig didto sa mga nag-antos, ug hatagan niya ug hustisya ang mga nanginahanglan.
13 Surely, the righteous, shall give thanks to thy Name, the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
Pasalamatan gayod sa mga tawong matarong ang imong ngalan; magpuyo sa imong presensiya ang mga tawong matarong.
