Psalms 139
1 To the Chief Musician, David’s. A Melody. O Yahweh! thou hast searched me, and observed:
Dem Vorsänger. Von David, ein Psalm. Jehova! Du hast mich erforscht und erkannt.
2 Thou, hast observed my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou hast given heed to my desire, from afar:
Du kennst mein Sitzen und mein Aufstehen, du verstehst meine Gedanken von ferne.
3 My path and my couch, hast thou examined, and, all my ways, thou well knowest.
Du sichtest mein Wandeln und mein Liegen und bist vertraut mit allen meinen Wegen.
4 Surely there hath not been a word on my tongue, [but] behold! O Yahweh, thou hast observed it on every side.
Denn das Wort ist noch nicht auf meiner Zunge, siehe, Jehova, du weißt es ganz.
5 Behind and before, hast thou shut me in, and hast laid upon me thy hand: —
Von hinten und von vorn hast du mich eingeengt, und auf mich gelegt deine Hand.
6 Knowledge, too wonderful, for me! high, I cannot attain to it!
Kenntnis, zu wunderbar für mich, zu hoch: ich vermag sie nicht zu erfassen!
7 Whither can I go from thy spirit? or whither, from thy face, can I flee?
Wohin sollte ich gehen vor deinem Geiste, und wohin fliehen vor deinem Angesicht?
8 If I ascend the heavens, there, thou art! If I spread out hades as my couch, behold thee! (Sheol h7585)
Führe ich auf zum Himmel, du bist da; und bettete ich mir in dem Scheol, siehe, du bist da. (Sheol h7585)
9 If I mount the wings of the dawn, settle down in the region beyond the sea,
Nähme ich Flügel der Morgenröte, ließe ich mich nieder am äußersten Ende des Meeres,
10 Even there, thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
auch daselbst würde deine Hand mich leiten, und deine Rechte mich fassen.
11 If I say, Surely, darkness, shall cover me! then, night, is light about me.
Und spräche ich: Nur Finsternis möge mich umhüllen, und Nacht werde das Licht um mich her:
12 Even darkness, will not conceal from thee, —but, night, like day, will shine, So is the darkness, as the light!
Auch Finsternis würde vor dir nicht verfinstern, und die Nacht würde leuchten wie der Tag, die Finsternis wäre wie das Licht.
13 For, thou, didst possess thyself of my reins, thou didst weave me together in the womb of my mother.
Denn du besaßest meine Nieren; du wobest mich in meiner Mutter Leibe.
14 I thank thee, in that fearfully was my being distinguished, Wonderful are thy works, and, mine own soul, is observing [them] intently!
Ich preise dich darüber, daß ich auf eine erstaunliche, ausgezeichnete Weise gemacht bin. Wunderbar sind deine Werke, und meine Seele weiß es sehr wohl.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, —when I was made in secret, when I was skilfully figured in the lower parts of the earth.
Nicht verhohlen war mein Gebein vor dir, als ich gemacht ward im Verborgenen, gewirkt wie ein Stickwerk in den untersten Örtern der Erde.
16 Mine unfinished substance, thine eyes beheld, and, in thy book, all the parts thereof were written, —the days they should be fashioned! while yet there was not one among them.
Meinen Keim sahen deine Augen, und in dein Buch waren sie alle eingeschrieben; während vieler Tage wurden sie gebildet, als nicht eines von ihnen war.
17 To me, then, how precious have thy desires become, O GOD! How numerous, the heads of them!
Und wie köstlich sind mir deine Gedanken, o Gott! Wie gewaltig sind ihre Summen!
18 I would recount them! Beyond the sands, they multiply, I rouse myself—and am still with thee.
Wollte ich sie zählen, ihrer sind mehr als des Sandes. Ich erwache und bin noch bei dir.
19 Wilt thou not, O GOD, slay the lawless one? Therefore, ye men of bloodshed, depart from me!
Möchtest du, o Gott, den Gesetzlosen töten! Und ihr Blutmenschen, weichet von mir! ...
20 For they speak of thee wickedly, Thy foes lift up [their hand] unto falsehood.
Sie, die dich nennen zum Verbrechen, die zu Eitlem schwören, deine Feinde.
21 Do I not hate, them who hate thee, O Yahweh? And loathe, them who rise up against thee?
Hasse ich nicht, Jehova, die dich hassen, und verabscheue ich nicht, die wider dich aufstehen?
22 With completeness of hatred, I hate them, As enemies, have they become to me.
Mit vollkommenem Hasse hasse ich sie; sie sind Feinde für mich.
23 Search me, O GOD, and observe my heart, Try me, and observe my cares;
Erforsche mich, Gott, und erkenne mein Herz; prüfe mich und erkenne meine Gedanken!
24 And see if there be any idol-way in me, and lead me in a way age-abiding.
Und sieh, ob ein Weg der Mühsal bei mir ist, und leite mich auf ewigem Wege!
