Psalms 138

1 David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:

দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি আমার সমস্ত অন্তর দিয়ে তোমার প্রশংসা করব; “দেবতাদের” সাক্ষাতে আমি তোমার প্রশংসাগান করব।

2 I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!

তোমার পবিত্র মন্দিরের উদ্দেশে আমি নত হব এবং তোমার অবিচল প্রেম ও তোমার বিশ্বস্ততার কারণে তোমার নামের প্রশংসা করব, কারণ তুমি তোমার বিধিসম্মত নিয়মাবলি উচ্চে স্থাপন করেছ; যেন তোমার খ্যাতি ছাপিয়ে যায়।

3 In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.

আমি যখন ডেকেছি, তুমি আমাকে উত্তর দিয়েছ; আমার প্রাণে শক্তি দিয়ে আমাকে অতিশয় উৎসাহিত করেছ।

4 All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;

হে সদাপ্রভু, পৃথিবীর সব রাজা তোমার প্রশংসা করবে, কারণ তারা সবাই তোমার বাক্য শুনবে।

5 And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:

তারা সদাপ্রভুর পথগুলির বিষয়ে গান করবে, কারণ সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব মহান।

6 Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.

সদাপ্রভু মহিমান্বিত হলেও তিনি অবনতদের দিকে দয়ালু দৃষ্টি রাখেন; কিন্তু দাম্ভিকদের তিনি দূর থেকে বুঝতে পারেন।

7 Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:

যদিও আমি সংকটের মধ্যে দিয়ে যাই, তুমি আমার প্রাণ বাঁচিয়ে রাখো। আমার বিপক্ষদের ক্রোধের বিরুদ্ধে তুমি তোমার হাত প্রসারিত করো; তোমার ডান হাত দিয়ে তুমি আমাকে রক্ষা করো।

8 Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.

সদাপ্রভু আমার জন্য তাঁর সব পরিকল্পনা সফল করবেন, কারণ তোমার বিশ্বস্ত প্রেম, হে সদাপ্রভু, অনন্তকালস্থায়ী। আমাকে পরিত্যাগ কোরো না, কারণ তুমি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছ।
