Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents. David’s. O Yahweh, my heart, is not haughty, nor are mine eyes, lofty, neither have I moved among great matters, or among affairs too wonderful for me.

൧ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഗർവ്വിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ നിഗളിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിക്ക് എത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വൻ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും അത്ഭുതവിഷയങ്ങളിലും ഞാൻ ഇടപെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

2 Surely I have soothed and silenced my soul, —like a weaned child, concerning his mother, like a weaned child, concerning myself—mine own soul.

൨ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ താലോലിച്ച് നിശ്ശബ്ദമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അമ്മയുടെ അടുക്കൽ മുലകുടി മാറിയ പൈതൽ എന്നപോലെ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ അമ്മയുടെ മടിയിൽ ശാന്തമാ‍യി ഉറങ്ങുന്ന ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ ശാന്തമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 Wait, O Israel, for Yahweh, from this time forth, even to times age-abiding.

൩യിസ്രായേലേ, ഇന്നുമുതൽ എന്നേക്കും യഹോവയിൽ പ്രത്യാശ വച്ചുകൊള്ളുക.
