Psalms 13

1 To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. How long, O Yahweh, wilt thou wholly forget me? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ഇനിയും എത്രനാൾ, യഹോവേ? അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ എക്കാലത്തേക്കും മറന്നുകളയുമോ? തിരുമുഖം എന്നിൽനിന്ന് എത്രനാൾ മറച്ചുവെക്കും?

2 How long shall I lay up cares within my soul, sorrow in my heart, day by day? How long shall mine enemy lift himself up over me?

എത്രകാലം ഞാൻ എന്റെ വിഷാദചിന്തകളോടു മല്ലടിക്കുകയും ദിവസംതോറും ഹൃദയവ്യഥ അനുഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും? എത്രകാലം എന്റെ ശത്രു എന്മേൽ പ്രബലനാകും?

3 Have regard! answer me O Yahweh my God, —Light up mine eyes, lest I sleep on into death:

എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, തൃക്കൺപാർത്ത് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ. എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾക്കു പ്രകാശം നൽകണമേ, ഇല്ലായെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ മരണനിദ്രയിൽ ആണ്ടുപോകും,

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed over him! and, mine adversaries, exult, that I totter.

അപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ശത്രു, “ഞാൻ അയാളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി” എന്നു വീമ്പിളക്കുകയും ഞാൻ വീഴുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾ ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

5 But, I, in thy lovingkindness, have put my trust, My heart shall exult in thy salvation:

എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

6 I will sing to Yahweh, for he hath dealt beautifully with me.

അവിടന്ന് എനിക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തുതിപാടും.
