Psalms 129

1 A Song of Ascents. Many a time, have they harassed me from my youth, well may Israel say:

१इस्राएलाने आता म्हणावे की, माझ्या तरुणपणापासून त्यांनी माझ्यावर हल्ला केला आहे.

2 Many a time, have they harassed me from youth, yet have they not prevailed against me.

२त्यांनी माझ्या तरुणपणापासून माझ्यावर हल्ला केला, तरी ते मला पराजित करू शकले नाहीत.

3 Upon my back, have ploughmen ploughed, They have lengthened their furrow!

३नांगरणाऱ्यांनी माझ्या पाठीवर नांगरले; त्यांनी आपली तासे लांब केली.

4 Yahweh, is righteous, He hath cut asunder the cords of the lawless.

४परमेश्वर न्यायी आहे; त्याने दुष्टांच्या दोऱ्या कापून टाकल्या आहेत.

5 Let all who hate Zion, be ashamed and shrink back:

५जे सियोनेचा तिरस्कार करतात, ते सर्व लज्जित होवोत आणि माघारी फिरवले जावोत.

6 Let them become like the grass of housetops, which, before it is pulled up, hath withered;

६ते छपरावरचे गवत वाढण्या आधीच सुकून जाते त्यासारखे होवोत.

7 Wherewith no reaper, hath filled his hand, nor binder, his bosom:

७त्याने कापणी करणारा आपली मूठ भरीत नाही, किंवा पेंढ्या भरणाऱ्याच्या कवेत ते येत नाही.

8 Neither have the passers-by ever said, The blessing of Yahweh, be unto you, —We have blessed you in the Name of Yahweh.

८त्यांच्या जवळून येणारे जाणारे म्हणत नाहीत की, “परमेश्वराचा आशीर्वाद तुझ्यावर असो; परमेश्वराच्या नावाने आम्ही तुम्हास आशीर्वाद देतो.”
