< Psalms 124 >
1 A Song of Ascents. David’s. If it had not been, Yahweh, who was on our side, oh might Israel say:
Nkunga Davidi wunyimbudulu mu nzila yikuendila ku nzo Yave. Bika Iseli katuba: Enati Yave kasia ba ku ndambuꞌeto ko;
2 If it had not been, Yahweh, who was on our side, when men rose up against us,
Enati Yave kasia ba ku ndambu eto ko mu thangu batu batelama mu kutunuanisa;
3 Then, alive, had they swallowed us up, in the glow of their anger against us;
mu thangu nganzi awu yitubuila, keti nganu mina batumina bamoyo;
4 Then, the waters, had whelmed us, the torrent, gone over our soul;
khuka nlangu yitumbu kutuvitumuna ayi nguma yi nlangu yitudiamisa,
5 Then, had gone over our soul the waters so proud!
minlangu mi nguma mitulalumuna.
6 Blessed, be Yahweh, who gave us not as prey to their teeth.
Nzitusu wuba kuidi Yave mutu wowo wukambu kutuyekula batukanzuna mu meno ma miunu miawu.
7 Our soul, as a bird, hath escaped from the snare of the fowlers, The snare, is broken, and, we, are escaped:
Tutina banga nuni bu keti tinina mu dikondi di ntambi wu zinuni. Dikondi dikanzuka ayi beto tutina.
8 Our help, is in the Name of Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
Lusadusu lueto luidi mu dizina di Yave, mvangi wu diyilu ayi ntoto.
