< Psalms 123 >
1 A Song of Ascents. Unto thee, have I lifted up mine eyes, O thou who art enthroned in the heavens.
Rwiyo rworwendo. Ndinosimudzira meso angu kwamuri, kunemi mune chigaro choushe kudenga.
2 Lo! as the eyes of men-servants are unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid-servant, unto the hand of her mistress, so, are our eyes, unto Yahweh our God, until that he show us favour.
Sokutarira kunoita meso evaranda kuna vatenzi vavo, sezvinoita meso omurandakadzi achitarira ruoko rwatenzikadzi wake, saizvozvo meso edu anotarira kuna Jehovha Mwari wedu, kusvikira atinzwira ngoni.
3 Show us favour, O Yahweh, show us favour, for, exceedingly, are we sated with contempt:
Tinzwirei ngoni, imi Jehovha, tinzwirei ngoni, nokuti takatsunga pakuzvidzwa kwakawanda.
4 Exceeding sated therewith, is our soul, —The scorn of the careless, The contempt of the proud.
Takatsunga zvikuru pakumhurwa kunobva kuna vanozvikudza, nokuzvidzwa kuzhinji kunobva kuna vanozvikudza.
