< Psalms 116 >

1 I love Yahweh—because he heareth my voice, my supplications;
Nĩnyendete Jehova, nĩgũkorwo nĩaiguĩte mũgambo wakwa; nĩaiguire ngĩmũthaitha anjiguĩre tha.
2 Because he hath bowed down his ear unto me, therefore, throughout my days, will I call.
Tondũ nĩathikĩrĩirie-rĩ, ndĩrĩmũkayagĩra rĩrĩa rĩothe ngũtũũra muoyo.
3 The meshes of death encompassed me, and the distresses of hades, came upon me, Peril and sorrow, I found; (Sheol h7585)
Ndarigiicĩirio nĩ mĩhĩndo ya gĩkuũ, ngĩkinyĩrĩrwo nĩ ruo rwa mbĩrĩra; ngĩhootwo nĩ mĩtangĩko o na kĩeha. (Sheol h7585)
4 But, on the Name of Yahweh, I called—I beseech thee, Yahweh, deliver my soul.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo ngĩkaĩra rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, ngĩmwĩra atĩrĩ: “Wee Jehova, honokia!”
5 Gracious is Yahweh and righteous, and, our God, is full of compassion.
Jehova nĩ mũtugi na nĩ mũthingu; Ngai witũ aiyũrĩtwo nĩ tha.
6 Yahweh, preserveth the simple, I was brought low, when, to me, he granted salvation.
Jehova nĩagitagĩra andũ arĩa matarĩ oogĩ; rĩrĩa ndahinyĩrĩirio mũno, nĩahonokirie.
7 Return, O my soul, to thy rest, For, Yahweh, hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Wee ngoro yakwa-rĩ, cookerera ũhurũko waku, nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩagwĩkĩte wega.
8 For thou hast rescued my soul from death, —mine eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
Nĩgũkorwo Wee Jehova nĩũhonoketie muoyo wakwa kuuma kũrĩ gĩkuũ, namo maitho makwa ũkamagiria maithori, na ũkagiria magũrũ makwa mahĩngwo,
9 I will walk to and fro before Yahweh, in the lands of life.
nĩgeetha thiiage ndĩ mbere ya Jehova bũrũri-inĩ wa arĩa marĩ muoyo.
10 I believed that I should speak, I, was greatly depressed.
No ndetĩkirie ũhoro wake; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndoigire atĩrĩ, “Nĩthĩĩnĩkĩte mũno.”
11 I, said in mine alarm, All men, are false!
Nĩ ũndũ wa ũrĩa ndamakĩte, ngiuga atĩrĩ, “Andũ othe nĩ a maheeni.”
12 How shall I give back to Yahweh, All his benefits unto me?
Nĩ kĩĩ ingĩthukĩra Jehova nakĩo nĩ ũndũ wa wega wake wothe ũrĩa anjĩkĩte?
13 The cup of salvation, will I lift, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:
Nĩkuoya nguoya gĩkombe kĩa ũhonokio na igũrũ, ngaĩre rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova.
14 My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in presence of all his people!
Nĩngũhingĩria Jehova mĩĩhĩtwa ĩrĩa ndehĩtire, andũ ake othe marĩ ho.
15 Costly in the eyes of Yahweh, is, death, for his men of lovingkindness.
Andũ arĩa athingu marĩ bata mũno harĩ Jehova, nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndakenaga rĩrĩa makua o ro ũguo.
16 I beseech thee, O Yahweh—for, I, am thy servant, —I, am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid, Thou hast loosened my bonds.
Wee Jehova, ti-itherũ niĩ ndĩ ndungata yaku; niĩ ndĩ ndungata yaku, mũriũ wa ndungata yaku ya mũndũ-wa-nja; wee nĩũnjohorithĩtie mĩnyororo-inĩ.
17 To thee, will I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:
Nĩngũkũrutĩra igongona rĩa gũgũcookeria ngaatho, na ngaĩre rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova.
18 My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in the presence of all his people; —
Nĩngũhingĩria Jehova mĩĩhĩtwa ĩrĩa ndehĩtire andũ ake othe marĩ ho,
19 In the courts of the house of Yahweh, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Yah!
kũu nja-inĩ cia nyũmba ya Jehova, o thĩinĩ waku, wee Jerusalemu. Goocai Jehova.
