Psalms 115

1 Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us, —but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.

ഞങ്ങൾക്കല്ല യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കല്ല; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹവും വിശ്വസ്തതയുംനിമിത്തം തിരുനാമത്തിനുതന്നെ മഹത്ത്വം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2 Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?

ജനതകളെക്കൊണ്ട് “അവരുടെ ദൈവം എവിടെ,” എന്നു ചോദിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്?

3 When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം സ്വർഗത്തിലുണ്ട്; അവിടന്ന് തനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4 Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men, —

എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ വെള്ളിയും സ്വർണവുമാണ്; മനുഷ്യകരങ്ങളാൽ നിർമിതവുമാണ്.

5 A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;

അവയ്ക്കു വായുണ്ട്, എന്നാൽ സംസാരിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല; കണ്ണുണ്ട്, എന്നാൽ കാണാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.

6 Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:

അവയ്ക്ക് കാതുണ്ട്, എന്നാൽ കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല; മൂക്കുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും മണക്കുന്നില്ല.

7 Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.

അവയ്ക്കു കൈയുണ്ട്, എങ്കിലും സ്പർശിക്കുന്നില്ല; കാലുണ്ട്, എങ്കിലും നടക്കുന്നില്ല; തൊണ്ടകൊണ്ട് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിനും അവയ്ക്കു കഴിവില്ല.

8 Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.

അവയെ നിർമിക്കുന്നവർ അവയെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നു, അവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ.

9 O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!

ഇസ്രായേലേ, യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുക— അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ സഹായവും പരിചയും ആകുന്നു.

10 O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!

അഹരോൻഗൃഹമേ, യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുക— അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ സഹായവും പരിചയും ആകുന്നു.

11 Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!

യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന എല്ലാവരുമേ, യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുക— അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ സഹായവും പരിചയും ആകുന്നു.

12 Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will bless—He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;

യഹോവ നമ്മെ ഓർക്കുകയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും: അവിടന്ന് ഇസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും അവിടന്ന് അഹരോൻഗൃഹത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും

13 He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.

യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും അവിടന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും— ചെറിയവരെയും വലിയവരെയും ഒരുപോലെതന്നെ.

14 Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.

യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ വർധിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെയുംതന്നെ.

15 Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:

ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും നിർമിച്ച യഹോവയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.

16 As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.

സ്വർഗം യഹോവയുടേതാകുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ഭൂമി അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

17 The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;

മരിച്ചവരാരും യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല, നിശ്ശബ്ദതയിൽ ആണ്ടുപോയവരും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ;

18 But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.

എന്നാൽ നാമാണ് യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നത്, ഇന്നും എന്നെന്നേക്കും. യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക.
