Psalms 114

1 When Israel came forth out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from among a people of strange tongue,

Cuando Israel salió de Egipto, La casa de Jacob de un pueblo de lengua extraña,

2 Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his realm:

Judá fue su santuario, E Israel, su dominio.

3 The sea, beheld, and fled, The Jordan, turned back;

El mar [lo] vio y huyó, El Jordán retrocedió.

4 The mountains, started like rams, The hills like the young of the flock?

Las montañas saltaron como carneros, Las colinas, como corderos.

5 What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? O Jordan, that thou turnest back?

¿Qué te ocurrió, oh mar, que huiste? ¿Y tú, oh Jordán, que retrocediste?

6 Ye mountains, that ye start like rams? Ye hills, like the young of the flock?

¿[Ustedes, oh montañas], que saltan como carneros, Y ustedes, oh colinas, como corderos?

7 Before the Lord, be in anguish, O earth, Before the GOD of Jacob:

Tiembla, oh tierra, ante ʼAdonay, Ante el ʼElohim de Jacob,

8 Who turneth The Rock into a pool of water, The Flint into springs of water.

Quien convirtió la peña en un estanque de aguas, Y el pedernal en manantial de aguas.
