Psalms 1

1 How happy the man, who hath not walked in the counsel of the lawless, —and, in the way of sinners, hath not stood, and, in the seat of scoffers, hath not sat;

Bulahan ang tawo nga wala magalakaw sa tambag sa mga daotan, o magabarog sa dalan uban sa mga makasasala, o magalingkod sa panagtigom sa mga bugalbugalon.

2 But, in the law of Yahweh, is his delight, —and, in his law, doth he talk with himself day and night.

Apan ang iyang kalipay anaa sa balaod ni Yahweh, ug sa iyang balaod namalandong siya adlaw ug gabii.

3 So doth he become like a tree planted by streams of waters, —that yieldeth, its fruit, in its season, whose leaf, also doth not wither, and, whatsoever he doeth, prospereth.

Sama siya sa usa ka kahoy nga natanom daplin sa kasapaan nga naghatag sa bunga niini sa iyang panahon, nga kansang mga dahon dili malaya; bisan unsa ang iyang buhaton magmauswagon.

4 Not so, the lawless, —but as chaff which is driven about by the wind:

Ang daotan dili sama niini, apan sama hinuon kini sa uhot nga ipadpad sa hangin.

5 For this cause, shall the lawless not stand in the judgment, —nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Busa ang daotan dili gayod makabarog sa hukmanan, ni bisan ang mga makasasala diha sa panagtigom sa mga matarong.

6 For Yahweh doth acknowledge the way of the righteous; but, the way of the lawless, shall vanish.

Kay gitugotan ni Yahweh ang dalan sa matarong, apan mahanaw ang dalan sa daotan.
