Proverbs 5
1 My son, to my wisdom, attend, and, to mine understanding, incline thou thine ear:
என் மகனே, என் ஞானத்தைக் கவனத்தில்கொள், எனது புத்திமதிகளை மிகக் கவனமாகக் கேள்.
2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, —and, as for knowledge, that thy lips may guard it.
அப்பொழுது அறிவுடைமையுடன் நடந்துகொள்வாய்; உன் உதடுகள் அறிவைப் பாதுகாக்கும்.
3 For, with sweet droppings, drip the lips of her that is a stranger, and, smoother than oil, is her mouth;
ஏனெனில் விபசாரியின் உதடுகள் தேனைச் சிந்தும், அவளுடைய பேச்சு எண்ணெயைவிட மிருதுவாயிருக்கும்;
4 But, the latter end of her, is bitter as wormwood, sharp, as a two-edged sword!
ஆனால் முடிவோ, அவள் வேம்பைப்போல் கசப்பாயும், இருபக்கமும் கூர்மையுள்ள வாளைப்போலவும் இருப்பாள்.
அவளுடைய பாதங்கள் மரணத்திற்குச் செல்கின்றன; அவள் காலடிகளோ நேரே பாதாளத்திற்கு வழிநடத்துகின்றன. (Sheol h7585)
6 Lest, the path of life, she should ponder, her tracks have wandered she knoweth not [whither].
அவளோ வாழ்வின் வழியைப் பற்றிச் சிந்திப்பதேயில்லை, அவளுடைய பாதைகள் கோணலானவை, அவள் அதை அறியாதிருக்கிறாள்.
7 Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken unto me, and do not turn away from the sayings of my mouth.
ஆகவே என் பிள்ளைகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; நான் சொல்வதைவிட்டு விலகவேண்டாம்.
8 Keep far from her thy way, and do not go near the opening of her house:
அவளுக்குத் தூரமான வழியில் நடங்கள், அவளுடைய வீட்டின் வாசலையும் மிதிக்கவேண்டாம்.
9 Lest thou give, to other men, thy vigour, and thy years, to him that is cruel:
இல்லையென்றால், உங்களுடைய கனத்தை மற்றவர்களிடமும் உங்களுடைய வாழ்நாட்களை கொடூரர்களிடமும் இழந்துவிடுவீர்கள்;
10 Lest strange men, be well fed, by thy strength, and, thy toils, be in the house of the alien.
வேறுநாட்டைச் சேர்ந்தவர் உங்கள் செல்வத்தை அனுபவிப்பார்கள், உங்களுடைய கடும் உழைப்பு இன்னொருவனின் வீட்டைச் செல்வச் சிறப்பாக்கும்.
11 So shalt thou grieve in thy latter end, in the failing of thy flesh and of thy healthy condition;
உங்களுடைய வாழ்க்கையின் முடிவில், உங்கள் தசையும் உடலும் நலியும்போது வேதனையால் புலம்புவீர்கள்.
12 And thou shalt say—How I hated correction! and, reproof, my heart disdained;
அப்பொழுது நீங்கள், “ஐயோ, நான் அறிவுரையை வெறுத்தேனே, திருத்தத்தை எனது இருதயம் அலட்சியம் செய்ததே!
13 Neither hearkened I to the voice of my teachers, nor, to my instructors, inclined I mine ear:
நான் எனக்கு போதித்தவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியவில்லையே, எனக்கு அறிவுரை சொன்னவர்களுக்கு செவிகொடுக்கவில்லையே.
14 Soon was I in all evil, in the midst of convocation and assembly.
நான் இறைவனின் மக்கள் கூட்டத்தில் தீராத பிரச்சனைக்குள்ளாகி விட்டேனே” என்று சொல்வீர்கள்.
15 Drink thou water out of thine own cistern, and flowing streams out of the midst of thine own well.
நீ உனது சொந்தக் கிணற்றின் தண்ணீரையே குடி, நீ உனது சொந்த நீரூற்றிலிருந்தே தண்ணீரைப் பருகு.
16 Let not thy fountains, flow over, abroad, in the streets, dividings of waters:
உனது ஊற்றுகள் வீதிகளில் வழிந்தோட வேண்டுமோ? உனது நீரோடைகள் பொது இடங்களில் ஓடவேண்டுமோ?
17 Let them be for thyself, alone, and not for strangers with thee.
அவை உன்னுடையவைகளாக மட்டுமே இருக்கட்டும், அவற்றை அறியாதவருடன் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளக் கூடாது.
18 Let thy well-spring be blessed, —and get thy joy from the wife of thy youth: —
உனது ஊற்று ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக, நீ உனது வாலிப காலத்தின் மனைவியுடன் மகிழ்ந்திருப்பாயாக.
19 A loving hind! a graceful doe! let, her bosom, content thee at all times, and, in her love, mayst thou stray evermore.
அவள் உனக்கு அன்பான பெண்மான் போலவும் அழகியமான் போலவும் இருப்பாளாக, அவளுடைய மார்பகங்களே எந்நாளும் உன்னைத் திருப்தியாக்கட்டும்; அவளுடைய அன்பினால் நீ எப்பொழுதும் கவரப்படுவாயாக.
20 Wherefore, then, shouldst thou stray, my son, with a strange woman? or embrace the bosom of a woman unknown?
என் மகனே, ஒரு விபசாரியினால் நீ ஏன் கவரப்படவேண்டும்? இன்னொருவனின் மனைவியின் மார்பை நீ ஏன் தழுவவேண்டும்?
21 For, before the eyes of Yahweh, are the ways of a man, —and, all his tracks, doth he consider:
மனிதரின் வழிகள் எல்லாம் யெகோவாவுக்குமுன் வெளியரங்கமாய் இருக்கின்றன, அவர்களுடைய பாதைகளை எல்லாம் அவர் ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கிறார்.
22 His own iniquities, shall entrap him with the lawless, and, by the cords of his own sin, shall he be seized.
கொடியவர்கள் தம்முடைய தீயசெயல்களாலே அகப்படுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பாவக்கயிறுகள் அவர்களை இறுக்கிக் கட்டுகின்றன.
23 He, shall die, for lack of discipline, and, by the abounding of his perversity, shall he be lost.
அவர்கள் நற்கட்டுப்பாடு இல்லாததினால் சாவார்கள், அவர்களுடைய மூடத்தனத்தின் மிகுதியினால் வழிவிலகிப் போவார்கள்.
