< Proverbs 5 >
1 My son, to my wisdom, attend, and, to mine understanding, incline thou thine ear:
Mwana na ngai, zala na bokebi na bwanya na ngai, mpe pesa litoyi na yo na mayele na ngai,
2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, —and, as for knowledge, that thy lips may guard it.
mpo ete ozala na bososoli, mpe bibebu na yo ebomba boyebi.
3 For, with sweet droppings, drip the lips of her that is a stranger, and, smoother than oil, is her mouth;
Pamba te bibebu ya mwasi ya ndumba ebimisaka mafuta ya nzoyi, mpe lolemo na ye ezali elengi lokola mafuta;
4 But, the latter end of her, is bitter as wormwood, sharp, as a two-edged sword!
kasi na suka na nyonso, azali bololo lokola masanga ya bololo, songe lokola mopanga ya minu mibale.
5 Her feet, are going down to death, —on hades, will her steps take firm hold. (Sheol )
Makolo na ye ekokita kino na kufa, ekokende kino na mokili ya bakufi. (Sheol )
6 Lest, the path of life, she should ponder, her tracks have wandered she knoweth not [whither].
Amitungisaka te mpo na nzela ya bomoi, alandaka nzela oyo ayebi te esika nini ekosuka.
7 Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken unto me, and do not turn away from the sayings of my mouth.
Sik’oyo mwana na ngai, yoka ngai, kopesa maloba na ngai mokongo te;
8 Keep far from her thy way, and do not go near the opening of her house:
longola nzela na yo pembeni na ye mpe kopusana te liboso ya ndako na ye,
9 Lest thou give, to other men, thy vigour, and thy years, to him that is cruel:
noki te akoya kokaba lokumu na yo epai ya bato mosusu, mpe mibu na yo epai ya moto mabe;
10 Lest strange men, be well fed, by thy strength, and, thy toils, be in the house of the alien.
noki te bapaya bakotonda na biloko oyo yo omoneli pasi, mpe mbuma ya mosala na yo ekokende na ndako ya mopaya;
11 So shalt thou grieve in thy latter end, in the failing of thy flesh and of thy healthy condition;
noki te okokoma kolelalela na suka tango nzoto na yo ekolemba mpe makasi na yo ekosila,
12 And thou shalt say—How I hated correction! and, reproof, my heart disdained;
mpe oloba: « Mpo na nini nayinaki mateya, mpe motema na ngai eboyaki koyoka toli?
13 Neither hearkened I to the voice of my teachers, nor, to my instructors, inclined I mine ear:
Mpo na nini nayokaki te mongongo ya balakisi na ngai mpe napesaki litoyi te epai ya bato oyo bazalaki koteya ngai?
14 Soon was I in all evil, in the midst of convocation and assembly.
Etikalaki kaka moke ete nakweya na mabe ya mozindo, kati na Lingomba ya bato ya Nzambe. »
15 Drink thou water out of thine own cistern, and flowing streams out of the midst of thine own well.
Melaka mayi ya libulu na yo moko, oyo ezali kobima penza na libulu na yo.
16 Let not thy fountains, flow over, abroad, in the streets, dividings of waters:
Boni, bitima na yo esopa penza mayi na libanda to miluka na yo esopa penza mayi na balabala?
17 Let them be for thyself, alone, and not for strangers with thee.
Tika ete ezala kaka mpo na yo moko, kasi kokabola yango te na bapaya.
18 Let thy well-spring be blessed, —and get thy joy from the wife of thy youth: —
Tika ete etima na yo epambolama, mpe sepela na mwasi ya bolenge na yo,
19 A loving hind! a graceful doe! let, her bosom, content thee at all times, and, in her love, mayst thou stray evermore.
oyo azali lokola mbuli kitoko ya mwasi, lokola mboloko ya mafuta. Tika ete tango nyonso, mabele na ye etondisaka yo na esengo, mpe bolingo na ye elangwisaka yo!
20 Wherefore, then, shouldst thou stray, my son, with a strange woman? or embrace the bosom of a woman unknown?
Mwana na ngai ya mobali, mpo na nini kokufela kolinga mwasi ya ndumba? Mpo na nini kosepela kosakana na mabele ya mwasi mosusu?
21 For, before the eyes of Yahweh, are the ways of a man, —and, all his tracks, doth he consider:
Solo, nzela ya moto ezali liboso ya Yawe, mpe ayekolaka malamu makambo nyonso oyo moto asalaka.
22 His own iniquities, shall entrap him with the lawless, and, by the cords of his own sin, shall he be seized.
Moto mabe akokangama kaka na motambo ya mabe na ye moko mpe na singa ya lisumu na ye,
23 He, shall die, for lack of discipline, and, by the abounding of his perversity, shall he be lost.
akokufa likolo ya bozoba, mpe liboma na ye ekobungisa ye nzela.
