Proverbs 29
1 He that being often reproved stiffeneth his neck, suddenly shall be hurt, and there be no healing.
அநேகமுறை கண்டிக்கப்பட்டும், பிடிவாதமாகவே இருக்கிறவர்கள், திடீரென தீர்வு இல்லாமல் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.
2 When the righteous become great, the people rejoice, but, when a lawless man beareth rule, a people sigh.
நீதிமான்கள் பெருகும்போது, மக்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்; கொடியவர்கள் ஆளும்போதோ, மக்கள் வேதனைக் குரல் எழுப்புவார்கள்.
3 A man who loveth wisdom, gladdeneth his father, but, a companion of harlots, destroyeth wealth.
ஞானத்தை விரும்புகிறவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொடுக்கிறான்; ஆனால் விபசாரிகளுடன் கூட்டாளியாய் இருப்பவன் தன்னுடைய செல்வத்தைச் சீரழிக்கிறான்.
4 A king, by justice, shall establish a land, —but, a man open to bribes, bringeth it to ruin.
அரசன் நியாயத்தினால் நாட்டை நிலைநிறுத்துகிறான்; ஆனால் இலஞ்சத்தின்மேல் பேராசை கொண்டவர்கள் நாட்டை அழிக்கிறார்கள்.
5 A man who flattereth his neighbour, spreadeth, a net, over his steps.
தனக்கு அடுத்திருப்போரை முகஸ்துதி செய்கிறவர்கள், அவருடைய கால்களுக்கு வலையை விரிக்கிறார்கள்.
6 In the transgression of a wicked man, is a snare, but, the righteous, doth shout in triumph and rejoice.
தீயவர் தங்கள் பாவத்திலேயே சிக்கிக்கொள்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் நீதிமான்கள் ஆர்ப்பரித்து மகிழ்கிறார்கள்.
7 The righteous doth acknowledge the plea of the poor, but, the lawless, regardeth not knowledge.
நீதிமான்கள் ஏழைகளுக்கு நியாயம் கிடைக்கவேண்டும் என்பதில் கவனமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் கொடியவர்களுக்கு அந்த அக்கறையில்லை.
8 Men given to mockery, inflame a city, —but, wise men, turn away anger.
ஏளனம் செய்பவர்கள் பட்டணத்தில் குழப்பத்தை உண்டுபண்ணுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் கோபத்தை விலக்குகிறார்கள்.
9 A wise man pleading with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no settlement.
ஞானமுள்ளவர் மூடரை நீதிமன்றத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனால், மூடர் சினங்கொண்டு கேலிசெய்வார், அங்கு அமைதி இருக்காது.
10 Blood-thirsty men, hate the blameless man, and, as for the upright, they seek his life.
இரத்தவெறியர் உத்தமமானவர்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்; நீதிமான்களைக் கொல்லும்படி தேடுகிறார்கள்.
11 All his anger, doth a dullard let go, but, a wise man, by keeping it back, stilleth it.
மதியீனர்கள் தம் கோபத்தை அடக்காமல் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் அதை அடக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
12 When a ruler giveth heed to the word of falsehood, all his attendants, become lawless.
ஒரு ஆளுநர் பொய்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தால், அவருடைய ஊழியர்கள் எல்லோரும் கொடியவராவார்கள்.
13 The poor man and the man of usury, meet together, he that enlighteneth the eyes of them both, is Yahweh.
ஏழைக்கும் அவரை ஒடுக்கிறவருக்கும் பொதுவானது ஒன்று உண்டு: யெகோவாவே அந்த இருவரின் கண்களுக்கும் பார்வையைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
14 When a king judgeth faithfully the poor, his throne, to futurity, shall be established.
அரசன் ஏழைகளுக்கு நியாயத்துடன் தீர்ப்பளித்தால், அவனுடைய சிங்காசனம் எப்பொழுதும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.
15 A rod with rebuke, giveth wisdom, but, a youth unrestrained, bringeth shame to his mother.
பிரம்பும் கண்டனமும் ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கும், ஆனால் தன் விருப்பப்படி வளரவிடப்படுகிற பிள்ளையோ, தன் தாய்க்கு அவமானத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்.
16 When the lawless become great, transgression increaseth, but, the righteous, shall behold, their ruin.
கொடியவர்கள் பெருகும்போது பாவமும் பெருகும், ஆனால் நீதிமான்கள் அவர்களுடைய வீழ்ச்சியைக் காண்பார்கள்.
17 Correct thy son, that he may give thee rest, that he may give delight to thy soul.
உன் பிள்ளைகளை கண்டித்துத் திருத்து, அவர்கள் உனக்கு மன ஆறுதலைக் கொடுப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் உன் மனதை சந்தோஷப்படுத்துவார்கள்.
18 Where there is no vision, a people is let loose, but, he that keepeth instruction, how happy is he!
இறைவெளிப்பாடு இல்லாத இடத்தில் மக்கள் கட்டுக்கடங்காதிருப்பார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானத்தின் சட்டத்தைக் கைக்கொள்கிறவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.
19 By words, a servant will not be corrected, though he perceiveth, yet is there no answer.
வேலைக்காரர்களை வெறும் வார்த்தையினால் திருத்தமுடியாது; அவர்கள் அதை விளங்கிக்கொண்டாலும் அதை கவனத்தில் கொள்ளமாட்டார்கள்.
20 Thou hast seen a man hasty in his words, —there is, more hope of a dullard, than of him.
பதற்றப்பட்டுப் பேசுபவனை நீ பார்த்திருக்கிறாயா? அவரைவிட மூடராவது திருந்துவாரென்று நம்பலாம்.
21 He that dealeth tenderly with his servant from childhood, in his after life, shall have him for a son.
ஒருவர் தன் வேலைக்காரர்களை இளமையில் கட்டுப்பாடில்லாமல் விட்டால், இறுதியில் அவர்கள் ஆணவம் பிடித்தவர்களாவார்கள்.
22 A man given to anger, stirreth up strife, and, he that exceedeth in wrath, aboundeth in transgression.
கோபக்காரர்கள் பிரிவினையைத் தூண்டிவிடுகிறார்கள்; முற்கோபிகள் அநேக பாவங்களைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.
23 The loftiness of a man, layeth him low, —but, one of a lowly spirit, shall attain unto honour.
ஒருவருடைய அகந்தை அவரை வீழ்த்தும், ஆனால் மனத்தாழ்மை கனத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்.
24 He that shareth with a thief, hateth himself, an oath, he heareth, yet may not tell.
திருடர்களுக்கு உடந்தையாய் இருப்பவர்கள் தங்களுக்கே பகைவராய் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் ஆணைக்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டதினால் சாட்சி சொல்லத் துணியமாட்டார்கள்.
25 The fear of man, setteth a snare, but, he that trusteth in Yahweh, shall be placed on high.
மனிதருக்குப் பயப்படுவது கண்ணியாயிருக்கும்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவிடம் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பவர்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
26 Many, seek the face of a ruler, but, from Yahweh, is the sentence of each one.
அநேகர் ஆளுநரின் தயவை தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவிடமிருந்தே மனிதர் நியாயத்தைப் பெறுகிறார்கள்.
27 An abomination to the righteous, is the man of perversity, and, an abomination to the lawless, is a man of straightforward way.
நீதிமான்கள் நேர்மையற்றவர்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்; கொடியவர்கள் நீதிமான்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்.
