< Proverbs 19 >

1 Better is a poor man, walking in his integrity, than one of perverse lips, and, he, a dullard.
Miskiinka daacadnimadiisa ku socda ayaa ka wanaagsan Nacaska bushimihiisu qalloocan yihiin.
2 Surely, for the soul to be, without knowledge, is not good, and, he that hasteth with his feet, strayeth.
Oo weliba in naftu aqoon la'aato ma wanaagsana, Oo kii cagihiisu degdegaanna wuu ambadaa.
3 The folly of a man, subverteth his way, and, against Yahweh, his heart is angry.
Nin nacasnimadiisu jidkiisay qalloocisaa, Oo isagu qalbigiisa ayuu Rabbiga uga cadhoodaa.
4 Wealth, addeth many friends, but, the poor man, from his own friend, is parted.
Maalku wuxuu badiyaa saaxiibbo, Laakiinse miskiinku saaxiibkiisa buu ka soocmaa.
5 A false witness, shall not be held innocent, and, he that uttereth lies, shall not escape.
Markhaatigii been ahu ma taqsiir la'aan doono, Oo kii been ku hadlaana ma baxsan doono.
6 Many, will entreat the favour of a noble, and, every one, is a friend to a man abounding in gifts.
Kuwa badan ayaa deeqsiga raallinimo ka baryi doona, Oo nin kastaaba waa u saaxiib kii hadiyado bixiya.
7 All the brethren of a poor man, hate him, how much more have, his friends, gone far from him, he may hunt up promises—there are none.
Miskiinka walaalihiis oo dhammu way neceb yihiin, Haddaba saaxiibbadiisuna intee bay ka fogaan doonaan! Isagu hadal buu kala daba tagaa iyaga, laakiinse way tageen.
8 He that acquireth sense, loveth his own soul, he that guardeth understanding, shall find blessing.
Kii xigmadda helaa naftiisuu jecel yahay, Oo kii waxgarashada xajistaana wax wanaagsan buu heli doonaa.
9 A false witness, shall not be held innocent, and, he that uttereth lies, shall perish.
Markhaatigii been ahu ma taqsiir la'aan doono, Oo kii been ku hadlaana wuu halligmi doonaa.
10 Unseemly for a dullard, is delicate living, how much more for, a servant, to bear rule over princes.
Nacaska raaxo uma eka, Waxaana taas ka sii liita in addoon amiirro xukumo.
11 The discretion of a man, deferreth his anger, and, his adorning, is to pass over transgression.
Nin miyirkiisu cadho buu ka celiyaa, Oo waxaa isaga ammaan u ah inuu xadgudub dhaafo.
12 The growl as of a young lion, is the rage of a king, but, like dew upon the grass, is his good pleasure.
Boqorka cadhadiisu waa sida libaaxa cidiisa, Laakiinse raallinimadiisu waa sida sayaxa cawska ku dega.
13 Engulfing ruin to his father, is a son that is a dullard, —and, a continuous dripping, are the contentions of a wife.
Wiilkii nacas ahu waa u belaayo aabbihiis, Oo naag murammadeeduna waa sida dhibicyo aan kala go'in.
14 House and substance, are an inheritance from one’s fathers, but, from Yahweh, cometh a wife who is prudent.
Hoy iyo hanti aabbayaashaa laga dhaxlaa, Laakiinse afo miyir leh xagga Rabbigaa laga helaa.
15 Sloth, falleth into a deep sleep, and, a soul that is indolent, shall famish.
Caajisnimo waxay keentaa hurdo weyn, Oo qofkii caajis ahuna wuu gaajoon doonaa.
16 One who guardeth the commandment, guardeth his life, he that is reckless in his ways, shall die.
Kii amarka dhawraa naftiisuu dhawraa, Laakiinse kii jidadkiisa fudaydsadaa wuu dhiman doonaa.
17 A lender to Yahweh, is one who sheweth favour to the poor, and, his good deed, He will pay him back.
Kii miskiinka u naxaa Rabbiguu wax amaahiyaa, Oo wanaaggii uu sameeyeyna wuu u celin doonaa.
18 Correct thy son, because there is hope, yet, not so as to slay him, let thy passion be excited.
Wiilkaaga edbi intay rajo jirto, Laakiinse naftaada ha ku qasbin si uu u dhinto.
19 A man in a rage, taketh away the penalty, —nevertheless, if thou let him go free, the more [stripes] must thou add.
Ninkii cadho badan waa la taqsiiri doonaa, Waayo, haddaad mar isaga samatabbixiso, haddana waa inaad mar kale sidii oo kale ku samaysaa.
20 Hear counsel, receive correction, that thou mayest be wise in thine after-life.
Talada maqal, oo edbinta qaado, Si aad ugu dambaystaada caqli u yeelatid.
21 Many are the devices in a man’s heart, but, the counsel of Yahweh, that, shall stand.
Nin qalbigiisa waxaa ku jira hindisooyin badan, Habase ahaatee waxaa taagnaan doonta talada Rabbiga.
22 The charm of a man, is his lovingkindness, —and better a poor man, than one who deceiveth.
Nin waxaa loo doonayaa waa raxmaddiisa, Oo miskiinkuna waa ka wanaagsan yahay beenaalaha.
23 The reverence of Yahweh, leadeth to life, satisfied then, let a man remain—let him not be visited by calamity.
Kii Rabbiga ka cabsada waxaa loo kaxeeyaa xagga nolosha, Wuuna sii dheregsanaan doonaa, Oo sharna loo keeni maayo.
24 A sluggard burieth his hand in the dish, even unto his own mouth, will he not bring it back.
Ninkii caajis ahu wuxuu gacanta geliyaa xeedhada, Oo mar dambe xagga afkiisa uma soo celiyo.
25 The scoffer, thou shalt smite, and, the simple, will beware, but correct a man of intelligence—he will understand teaching.
Kan wax quudhsada garaac, oo garaadlaawaha ayaa miyir yeelan doona, Oo kii garasho leh canaano, oo isna aqoon buu sii korodhsan doonaa.
26 He that ruineth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son causing shame and reproach.
Kii aabbihiis kharriba, hooyadiisna erya, Waa wiil ceeb keena oo cay soo jiida.
27 Cease, my son, to hear instruction that would cause thee to wander from the sayings of knowledge.
Wiilkaygiiyow ka joogso in markaad edbinta maqashid Aad dabadeed hadalka aqoonta ka ambatid.
28 An abandoned witness, scorneth justice, and, the mouth of lawless men, swalloweth iniquity.
Markhaatigii waxmatare ahu gartuu quudhsadaa, Oo kan sharka leh afkiisuna wuxuu liqaa xumaan.
29 Prepared for scoffers, are punishments, and stripes, for the back of dullards.
Kuwa wax quudhsada waxaa loo diyaariyey xukunno, Oo dhabarka nacasyadana waxaa loo diyaariyey karbaash.
