< Proverbs 15 >

1 A soft answer, turneth away wrath, but a cutting word raiseth anger.
Ti naalumanay a sungbat pabaawenna ti pungtot, ngem ti nagubsang a sao rubrubanna ti unget.
2 The tongue of the wise, adorneth knowledge, —but, the mouth of dullards, belcheth out folly.
Ti dila dagiti masirib a tattao, padpadayawanna ti pannakaammo, ngem ti ngiwat dagiti maag ket agibuybuyat iti kinamaag.
3 In every place, are the eyes of Yahweh, observing the evil and the good.
Kumitkita ni Yahweh iti sadinoman, sipsiputanna ti dakes ken naimbag.
4 Gentleness of the tongue, is a tree of life, but, crookedness therein, a grievous wound in the spirit.
Ti makaagas a dila ket maiyarig a kayo ti biag, ngem ti manangallilaw a dila ket rumrumekenna ti espiritu.
5 A foolish [son], spurneth the correction of his father, but, he that heedeth a reproof, sheweth prudence.
Kagurgura ti maag ti panangdisiplina ti amana, ngem nasirib ti makasursuro iti pannakailinteg.
6 The household of the righteous man, is a great treasure, but, in the increase of the lawless, is disturbance.
Adda adu a gameng iti balay dagiti agar-aramid iti nasayaat, ngem dagiti urnong dagiti nadangkes a tattao ti mangit-ited kadakuada iti riribuk.
7 The lips of the wise, scatter abroad knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, is not right.
Iwarwaras dagiti bibig dagiti nasirib a tattao ti maipapan iti pannakaammo, ngem saan a kasta dagiti puso dagiti maag.
8 The sacrifice of lawless men, is an abomination to Yahweh, but, the prayer of the upright, is his delight.
Kagurgura ni Yahweh dagiti daton dagiti nadangkes a tattao, ngem pakaragsakanna ti kararag dagiti nalinteg a tattao.
9 An abomination to Yahweh, is the way of the lawless, but, the pursuer of righteousness, he loveth.
Kagurgura ni Yahweh ti wagas dagiti nadangkes a tattao, ngem ay-ayatenna ti tao a mangar-aramid iti nalinteg.
10 There is, grievous correction, for him that forsaketh the right path, He that hateth rebuke, shall die.
Nakaro a disiplina ti agur-uray iti siasinoman a mangpanaw iti wagasna, ken matay ti manggurgura iti pannakailinteg.
11 Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Nakalukat ti sheol ken pannakadadael iti sangoanan ni Yahweh; kasano pay ngata dagiti puso dagiti kaputotan ti sangkataoan? (Sheol h7585)
12 A scoffer, loveth not, one who reproveth him, unto the wise, doth he not go.
Kagurgura ti mananglais ti panangilinteg; saan isuna a mapmapan kadagiti masirib.
13 A joyful heart, maketh a pleasing countenance, —but, in sorrow of heart, is a stricken spirit.
Ti naragsak a puso paragsakenna ti rupa, ngem ti nasakitan a puso rumekenna ti espiritu.
14 The heart of the intelligent, seeketh knowledge, but, the mouth of dullards, feedeth on folly.
Ti puso ti masirib birukenna ti pannakaammo, ngem dagiti maag ket agtartarigagay iti kinamaag.
15 All the days of the afflicted, are sorrowful, but, a cheerful heart, is a continual banquet.
Naliday ti amin nga aldaw dagiti maparparigat a tattao, ngem ti naragsak a puso ket kasla addaan iti awan patinggana a panagramrambak.
16 Better is a little, with the reverence of Yahweh, than great treasure, and disquietude therewith.
Nasaysayaat ti addaan iti bassit a panagbuteng kenni Yahweh ngem iti addaan iti adu a gameng ngem matiktikaw.
17 Better is an allowance of herbs, and love, there, than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.
Nasaysayaat ti mangan iti nateng nga addaan ayat ngem iti mangan iti karne ti napalukmeg a baka a naidasar nga addaan iti gura.
18 A wrathful man, stirreth up strife, but, he that is slow to anger, calmeth contention.
Ti naunget a tao rubrubanna ti riri, ngem ti tao a saan a nalaka a makaunget pasardengenna ti apa.
19 The way of the sluggard, is like a thorn hedge, but, the path of the upright, is a raised road.
Ti dalan dagiti nasadut ket kasla maysa a dalan a nagtuboan dagiti sisiit, ngem ti dalan dagiti nalinteg ket kasla nasimpa a pagnaan.
20 A wise son, maketh a glad father, —but, a dullard, despiseth his own mother.
Ti nasirib nga anak mangipapaay iti rag-o iti amana, ngem ti maag a tao lalaisenna ti inana.
21 Folly, is joy to him that lacketh sense, —but, a man of understanding, taketh a straight course.
Parparagsaken ti kinamaag ti tao a saan a nasirib, ngem ti tao nga addaan iti pannakaawat ket arigna a magmagna iti dalan a nalinteg.
22 Plans, are frustrated, for lack of consultation, but, by the multitude of counsellors, shall counsel, be established.
Saan nga agballigi dagiti panggep no awan pammagbaga, ngem agballigida no adda adu a mammagbaga.
23 A man hath joy, in the answer of his own mouth, and, a word in its season, —how good!
Makabirok ti maysa a tao iti rag-o no mangted isuna iti nasayaat a sungbat; anian a nagsayaat a denggen ti umno a sao iti umno a tiempo!
24 The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Ti dalan para kadagiti nasirib a tattao ket agturong iti biag, tapno maliklikannna ti agturong iti sheol. (Sheol h7585)
25 The house of proud men, will Yahweh tear down, but he will maintain the boundary of the widow.
Dadaelen ni Yahweh ti balay dagiti napalangguad, ngem salsalaknibanna ti sanikua ti balo.
26 An abomination to Yahweh, are the plottings of the wicked, but, with the pure, are sayings of sweetness.
Kagurgura ni Yahweh ti panunot dagiti nadangkes a tattao, ngem dagiti sasao a naimbag ket nadalus.
27 He, troubleth his own house, who graspeth with greed, but, he that hateth gifts, shall live.
Mangipapaay ti mannanakaw iti riribuk iti pamiliana, ngem agbiag ti tao a kagurgurana ti pasuksok.
28 The heart of the righteous, studieth to answer, but, the mouth of the lawless, belcheth out mischiefs.
Ti tao nga agar-aramid iti nalinteg ket agpanunot pay sakbay a sumungbat, ngem ti ngiwat dagiti nadangkes a tattao ket ibagana amin a kinadakesna.
29 Far off is Yahweh, from the lawless, but, the prayer of the righteous, will he hear.
Adayo ni Yahweh kadagiti nadangkes a tattao, ngem ipangpangagna ti kararag dagiti agar-aramid iti nalinteg.
30 The sparkling of bright eyes, rejoiceth the heart, Good news, giveth marrow to the bones.
Ti naragsak a mata mangipapaay iti rag-o iti puso, ken dagiti naimbag a damdamag ket salun-at iti bagi.
31 The ear that heareth the reproof which giveth life, in the midst of the wise, shall remain.
No ipangpangagmo ti panangilinteg ti maysa a tao iti panagbiagmo, agtalinaedka kadagiti nasirib a tattao.
32 He that declineth correction, despiseth his own soul, but, he that heareth reproof, gaineth sense.
Ti tao a manglaklaksid iti panangdisiplina, laklaksidenna ti bagina, ngem ti dumngeg iti panangtubngar magun-odna ti pannakaawat.
33 The reverence of Yahweh, is the correction of wisdom, and, before honour, is humility.
Ti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh mangisuro iti kinasirib, ken umun-una ti kinapakumbaba sakbay iti pammadayaw.
