Proverbs 12
1 He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge, but, he that hateth reproof, is brutish.
௧புத்திமதிகளை விரும்புகிறவன் அறிவை விரும்புகிறான்; கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை வெறுக்கிறவனோ மிருககுணமுள்ளவன்.
2 A good man, obtaineth favour from Yahweh, but, a man of wicked devices, will he condemn.
௨நல்லவன் யெகோவாவிடத்தில் தயவு பெறுவான்; கெட்டசிந்தனைகளுள்ள மனிதனை அவர் தண்டனைக்கு உட்படுத்துவார்.
3 A son of earth, shall not be established, by lawlessness, but, the root of the righteous, shall not be disturbed.
௩துன்மார்க்கத்தினால் மனிதன் நிலைவரப்படமாட்டான்; நீதிமான்களுடைய வேரோ அசையாது.
4 A virtuous woman, is the crown of her husband, but, a veritable decay in his bones, is she that causeth shame.
௪குணசாலியான பெண் தன்னுடைய கணவனுக்கு கிரீடமாக இருக்கிறாள்; அவமானத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறவளோ அவனுக்கு எலும்புருக்கியாக இருக்கிறாள்.
5 The plans of the righteous, are just, but, the counsels of the lawless, are deceitful.
௫நீதிமான்களுடைய நினைவுகள் நியாயமானவைகள்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய ஆலோசனைகளோ வஞ்சனையுள்ளவைகள்.
6 The words of the lawless, are—of lying in wait for blood, but, the mouth of the upright, shall deliver them.
௬துன்மார்க்கர்களின் வார்த்தைகள் இரத்தம் சிந்த மறைந்திருப்பதைப்பற்றியது; உத்தமர்களுடைய வாயோ அவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்கும்.
7 Overthrown are the lawless and they are not, but, the house of the righteous, shall stand.
௭துன்மார்க்கர்கள் கவிழ்க்கப்பட்டு ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; நீதிமான்களுடைய வீடோ நிலைநிற்கும்.
8 In proportion to his prudence, is a man, to be praised, but, the perverse in heart, shall be an object of contempt.
௮தன்னுடைய புத்திக்குத் தகுந்தபடி மனிதன் புகழப்படுவான்; மாறுபாடான இருதயமுள்ளவனோ இகழப்படுவான்.
9 Better slighted, and have a servant, than to honour oneself, and come short of bread.
௯உணவில்லாதவனாக இருந்தும், தன்னைத்தான் மேன்மைப்படுத்துகிறவனைவிட, மேன்மை இல்லாதவனாக இருந்தும் பணிவிடைக்காரனுள்ளவன் உத்தமன்.
10 A righteous man, regardeth the desire of his beast, but, the compassions of the lawless, are cruel.
௧0நீதிமான் தன்னுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களைக் காப்பாற்றுகிறான்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய இரக்கமும் கொடுமையே.
11 He that tilleth his land, shall be filled with food, but, he that runneth after worthless men, lacketh sense.
௧௧தன்னுடைய நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் உணவினால் திருப்தியடைவான்; வீணர்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனோ மதியற்றவன்.
12 A lawless man craveth the prey of the wicked, but, the root of the righteous, is enduring.
௧௨துன்மார்க்கன் கெட்டவர்களுடைய வலையை விரும்புகிறான்; நீதிமானுடைய வேர் கனி கொடுக்கும்.
13 By the transgression of the lips, is the wicked man, ensnared, but the righteous, cometh out of distress.
௧௩துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அவனுடைய உதடுகளின் துரோகமே கண்ணி; நீதிமானோ நெருக்கத்திலிருந்து நீங்குவான்.
14 Of the fruit of a man’s mouth, shall he be satisfied with good, and, the dealing of the hands of a son of earth, shall be paid back to him.
௧௪அவனவன் தன் தன் வாயின் பலனால் திருப்தியடைவான்; அவனவன் கைக்கிரியையின் பலனுக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும்.
15 The way of the foolish, is right in his own eyes, but, he that hearkeneth to counsel, is wise.
௧௫மதியீனனுடைய வழி அவனுடைய பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாக இருக்கும்; ஆலோசனைக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறவனோ ஞானமுள்ளவன்.
16 A foolish man, on the [same] day, letteth his vexation be known, but, he that concealeth an affront, is prudent.
௧௬மூடனுடைய கோபம் சீக்கிரத்தில் வெளிப்படும்; அவமானத்தை மூடுகிறவனோ விவேகி.
17 He that whispereth faithfulness, declareth righteousness, but, a false witness, is a fraud.
௧௭சத்தியவாசகன் நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்; பொய்சாட்சிக்காரனோ வஞ்சகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்.
18 There is who babbleth, as with thrusts of a sword, but, the tongue of the wise, hath healing.
௧௮பட்டயக்குத்துகள்போல் பேசுகிறவர்களும் உண்டு; ஞானமுள்ளவர்களுடைய நாவோ மருந்து.
19 A lip that is faithful, shall be firm to futurity, but, only for a twinkling, is the tongue that is false.
௧௯சத்திய உதடு என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்; பொய்நாவோ ஒரு நிமிடம்மாத்திரம் இருக்கும்;
20 Deceit, is in the heart of contrivers of mischief, but, to the counsellors of peace, shall be joy.
௨0தீங்கை திட்டமிடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயத்தில் கபடம் இருக்கிறது; சமாதானம்செய்கிற ஆலோசனைக்காரர்களுக்கு உள்ளது சந்தோஷம்.
21 Unseemly to the righteous, is any trouble, but, the lawless, are full of misfortune.
௨௧நீதிமானுக்கு ஒரு கேடும் வராது; துன்மார்க்கர்களோ தீமையினால் நிறையப்படுவார்கள்.
22 An abomination to Yahweh, are lips that are false, but, he that dealeth faithfully, is his delight.
௨௨பொய் உதடுகள் யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்; உண்மையாக நடக்கிறவர்களோ அவருக்குப் பிரியம்.
23 A prudent man, concealeth knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, proclaimeth folly.
௨௩விவேகமுள்ள மனிதன் அறிவை அடக்கிவைக்கிறான்; மூடர்களுடைய இருதயமோ மதியீனத்தைப் பிரபலப்படுத்தும்.
24 The hand of the diligent, shall bear rule, but, the indolent, shall come under tribute.
௨௪ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவர்களுடைய கை ஆளுகை செய்யும்; சோம்பேறியோ கட்டாயமாக வேலை வாங்கப்படுவான்.
25 When anxiety is in the heart of a man, one may bow him down, but, a good word, maketh him glad.
௨௫மனிதனுடைய இருதயத்திலுள்ள கவலை அதை ஒடுக்கும்; நல்வார்த்தையோ அதை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்.
26 The righteous man guideth his neighbour, but, the way of the lawless, leadeth them astray.
௨௬நீதிமான் தன்னுடைய அயலானைவிட மேன்மையுள்ளவன்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய வழியோ அவர்களை மோசப்படுத்தும்.
27 Indolence, roasteth not, his own game, but, the substance of a man, is precious, when he is diligent.
௨௭சோம்பேறி தான் வேட்டையாடிப் பிடித்ததைச் சமைப்பதில்லை; ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனுடைய பொருளோ அருமையானது.
28 In the way of righteousness, is life, and, in the path thereof, immortality,
௨௮நீதியின் பாதையில் வாழ்வு உண்டு; அந்தப் பாதையில் மரணம் இல்லை.
