Numbers 9
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the second year by their coming forth out of the land of Egypt in the first month, saying:
അവർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നും പുറത്തു വന്നശേഷം രണ്ടാംവർഷം ഒന്നാംമാസം യഹോവ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ച് മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. അവിടന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചത്:
2 Let the sons of Israel therefore, keep the passover in its appointed season:
“ഇസ്രായേൽജനം അതിന്റെ നിശ്ചിതസമയത്തു പെസഹ ആചരിക്കണം.
3 on the fourteenth day of this month between the two evenings, shall ye keep it, in its appointed season, —according to all the statute thereof and according to all the regulations thereof, shall ye keep it.
അതിന്റെ നിശ്ചിതസമയമായ ഈമാസം പതിന്നാലാംതീയതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്ത്, അതിന്റെ സകലനിയമങ്ങൾക്കും ചട്ടങ്ങൾക്കും ഒത്തവണ്ണം അത് ആചരിക്കണം.”
4 Then spake Moses unto the sons of Israel that they should keep the passover.
അങ്ങനെ മോശ ഇസ്രായേല്യരോട് പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു,
5 So they kept the passover in the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month between the two evenings, in the desert of Sinai, —according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so, did the sons of Israel.
ഒന്നാംമാസം പതിന്നാലാംതീയതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്ത് സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ച് അവർ പെസഹ ആചരിച്ചു. യഹോവ മോശയോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ഇസ്രായേല്യർ സകലതും ചെയ്തു.
6 But so it was that there were, certain men who had become unclean by a dead person, and could not keep the passover on that day, —therefore came they near before Moses and before Aaron on that day.
എന്നാൽ അവരിൽ ചിലർക്ക്, തങ്ങൾ ശവത്താൽ, ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധരായിരുന്നതിനാൽ ആ ദിവസം പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ ആ ദിവസംതന്നെ മോശയുടെയും അഹരോന്റെയും അടുക്കൽവന്ന്,
7 Then said those men unto him, We, are unclean by a dead person, —wherefore should we become of less esteem for want of offering the oblation of Yahweh in its appointed season, in the midst of the sons of Israel?
മോശയോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “ഒരു ശവത്താൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധരായിത്തീർന്നു, പക്ഷേ, മറ്റ് ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടൊപ്പം നിശ്ചിതസമയത്തുതന്നെ യഹോവയ്ക്കു വഴിപാട് അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ ഒഴിവാക്കുന്നതെന്ത്?”
8 And Moses said unto them, —Stay, and let me hear, what Yahweh shall command concerning you!
മോശ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്തു കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തുംവരെ നിങ്ങൾ കാത്തുനിൽക്കുക.”
9 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:
10 Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, —Though, any man, be unclean by a dead person or be on a journey afar off, whether in the case of yourselves or of your generations, yet shall he keep a passover unto Yahweh.
“ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിയിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും ശവത്താൽ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുകയോ ദൂരയാത്രയിലായിരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ, അവർക്കും യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാം.
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day between the two evenings, shall they keep it, —with unleavened cakes and bitter herbs, shall they eat it.
അവർ അത് രണ്ടാംമാസത്തിന്റെ പതിന്നാലാംതീയതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്ത് ആചരിക്കണം. അവർ ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയെ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തോടും കയ്‌പുചീരയോടുംകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കണം.
12 They shall not leave thereof until morning, and no bone, shall they break therein—according to all the statutes of the passover, shall they keep it.
അവർ അതിൽ യാതൊന്നും പ്രഭാതംവരെ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുത്; അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളൊന്നും ഒടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യരുത്. അവർ പെസഹാ ആചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിന്റെ സകലചട്ടങ്ങളും അനുസരിക്കണം.
13 But as for the man who is, clean, and no a journey, doth not chance to be and yet faileth to keep the passover, that person shall he cut off from among his kinsfolk, —for the oblation of Yahweh, hath he not offered in its appointed season, his own sin, shall, that man, bear.
എന്നാൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ആചാരപരമായി ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കുകയും യാത്രയിലല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടും പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ, ആ മനുഷ്യനെ സ്വജനത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം. കാരണം അയാൾ നിശ്ചിതസമയത്ത് യഹോവയ്ക്കു വഴിപാട് അർപ്പിച്ചില്ല. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപത്തിന്റെ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കണം.
14 When moreover there may sojourn with you a sojourner, who would keep a passover unto Yahweh, according to the statute of the passover, and according to the regulation thereof, so, must he keep [it], —one statute, shall there be for you, both for the sojourner and for the native of the land.
“‘നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രവാസിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹ ആചരിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ അയാൾ അതു ചട്ടങ്ങൾക്കും നിയമങ്ങൾക്കും വിധേയമായി ആചരിക്കണം. പ്രവാസിക്കും സ്വദേശിക്കും ഒരേ നിയമം ആയിരിക്കണം.’”
15 Now, on the day the habitation was reared, the cloud covered the habitation, even the tent of the testimony, —and in the evening, it was over the habitation, like an appearance of fire, until morning,
സമാഗമകൂടാരം ഉയർത്തിയ നാളിൽ മേഘം ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ കൂടാരമായ സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തെ മൂടി. സന്ധ്യമുതൽ പ്രഭാതംവരെ സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിന്മേലുള്ള മേഘം കാഴ്ചയ്ക്ക് അഗ്നിസമാനമായിരുന്നു.
16 Thus, came it to pass continually, the cloud, covered it, —and an appearance of fire, by night;
—അത് എപ്പോഴും അപ്രകാരമായിരുന്നു—രാത്രിയിൽ മേഘം അതിനെ മൂടി, അത് അഗ്നിപോലെ കാണപ്പെട്ടു.
17 but at the bidding of the upgoings of the cloud from off the tent, then, after that, the sons of Israel set forward, —and in the place where the cloud abode, there the sons of Israel encamped:
കൂടാരത്തിനു മുകളിൽനിന്ന് മേഘം ഉയരുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടും; മേഘം നിൽക്കുന്നിടത്തൊക്കെയും അവർ പാളയമടിക്കും.
18 at the bidding of Yahweh, the sons of Israel set forward, and at the bidding of Yahweh, they encamped, —all the days that the cloud abode upon the habitation, they remained encamped.
യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടുകയും അവിടത്തെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവർ പാളയമടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മേഘം സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിനുമുകളിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നത്രയുംകാലം അവർ പാളയത്തിൽ വസിച്ചു.
19 And when the cloud lengthened out its stay upon the habitation, many days, then would the sons of Israel keep the watch of Yahweh, and would not set forward.
മേഘം ദീർഘകാലം സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിന്മേൽ നിലകൊണ്ടപ്പോൾ, ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാതെ യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനകൾ അനുസരിച്ചു.
20 And, so it was, when the cloud would be a few days upon the habitation, at the bidding of Yahweh, they remained encamped, and at the bidding of Yahweh, they set forward.
ചില അവസരങ്ങളിൽ കുറച്ചു ദിവസങ്ങളിലേക്കുമാത്രമേ മേഘം സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിനു മുകളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ; യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവർ പാളയത്തിൽ കഴിയുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.
21 And, so it was, when the cloud would be from evening until morning, as soon as the cloud went up in the morning, so soon did they set forward: whether by day or by night, as soon as the cloud went up, so soon did they set forward.
ചില അവസരങ്ങളിൽ സന്ധ്യമുതൽ പ്രഭാതംവരെമാത്രം മേഘം നിശ്ചലമായിരിക്കും. പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ അത് ഉയരുമ്പോൾ, അവർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടും. പകലോ രാത്രിയോ എപ്പോൾ മേഘം പൊങ്ങുമോ അപ്പോൾ അവർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടും.
22 Whether for two days or a month or a year, the cloud lengthened out its stay upon the habitation abiding thereupon, the sons of Israel remained encamped and set not forward, —but at the upgoings thereof, they set forward.
സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിന്മേൽ മേഘം രണ്ടുദിവസത്തേക്കോ ഒരു മാസത്തേക്കോ ഒരു വർഷത്തേക്കോ നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചാൽ, ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാതെ പാളയത്തിൽതന്നെ പാർക്കും; എന്നാൽ അത് ഉയരുമ്പോൾ അവർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടും.
23 At the bidding of Yahweh, they encamped, and at the bidding of Yahweh, they set forward, —the watch of Yahweh, they kept, at the bidding of Yahweh by the hand of Moses.
യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവർ പാളയമടിക്കുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവർ പുറപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും. മോശമുഖാന്തരം ഉള്ള കൽപ്പനകൾക്കനുസൃതമായി അവർ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ അനുസരിച്ചു.
