Numbers 8
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
Og HERREN talede til Moses og sagde:
2 Speak unto Aaron, and thou shalt say unto him, —When thou lightest up the lamps, over against the front of the lampstand, shall the seven lamps give light.
Tal til Aron og sig til ham: Naar du sætter Lamperne paa, skal du sætte dem saaledes, at de syv Lamper kaster Lyset ud over Pladsen foran Lysestagen!
3 And Aaron did so, over against the front of the lampstand, lighted he up the lamps thereof, —As Yahweh commanded Moses,
Det gjorde Aron saa; han satte Lamperne paa saaledes, at de vendte ud mod Pladsen foran Lysestagen, som HERREN havde paalagt Moses.
4 Now, this, was the work of the lampstand—beaten work of gold both in the shaft thereof and in the flowers thereof, was it beaten work, according to the appearance which Yahweh caused to appear unto Moses, so, made he the lampstand.
Men Lysestagen var lavet af Guld i drevet Arbejde, fra Foden til Kronerne var den drevet Arbejde; efter det Forbillede, HERREN havde vist ham, havde Moses lavet Lysestagen.
5 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
HERREN talede fremdeles til Moses og sagde:
6 Take the Levites, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —and thou shalt purify them.
Udtag Leviterne af Israeliternes Midte og rens dem!
7 And, thus, shalt thou do unto them, to purify them, sprinkle upon them sin-cleansing water, —then shall they, cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and shall wash their clothes and so make themselves pure.
Saaledes skal du gaa frem, naar du renser dem: Stænk Renselsesvand paa dem og lad dem gaa hele deres Legeme over med Ragekniv, tvætte deres klæder og rense sig.
8 Then shall they take a choice young bullock, with the meal-offering thereof even fine meal overflowed with oil, —and a second choice young bullock, shalt thou take. as a sin-bearer.
Derpaa skal de tage en ung Tyr til Brændoffer med tilhørende Afgrødeoffer af fint Hvedemel, rørt i Olie, og du skal tage en anden ung Tyr til Syndoffer.
9 Then shalt thou bring the Levites near, before the tent of meeting, —and shalt call together all the assembly of the sons of Israel;
Lad saa Leviterne træde hen foran Aabenbaringsteltet og kald hele Israeliternes Menighed sammen.
10 and shalt bring the Levites near before Yahweh, —and the sons of Israel shall lean their hands upon the Levites;
Naar du saa har ladet Leviterne træde frem for HERRENS Aasyn, skal Israeliterne lægge deres Hænder paa Leviterne.
11 and Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Yahweh, from among the sons of Israel, —so shall they be for performing the laborious work of Yahweh.
Derpaa skal Aron udføre Svingningen med Leviterne for HERRENS Aasyn som et Offer fra Israeliterne, for at de kan udføre HERRENS Arbejde.
12 And, the Levites, shall lean their hands upon the head of the bullocks; then make thou of the one a sin-bearer and of the other an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over the Levites.
Saa skal Leviterne lægge deres Hænder paa Tyrenes Hoved, og derefter skal du ofre den ene som Syndoffer og den anden som Brændoffer til HERREN for at skaffe Leviterne Soning.
13 Thus shalt thou cause the Levites to stand before Aaron and before his sons, —thus shalt thou offer them as a wave-offering unto Yahweh;
Derpaa skal du stille Leviterne frem for Aron og hans Sønner og udføre Svingningen med dem for HERREN.
14 thus shalt thou separate the Levites out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —thus shall the Levites become mine.
Saaledes skal du udskille Leviterne fra Israeliterne, saa at Leviterne kommer til at tilhøre mig.
15 And after that, shall the Levites enter to do the labour of the tent of meeting, —so shalt thou purify them, and offer them as a wave-offering,
Derefter skal Leviterne komme og gøre Arbejde ved Aabenbaringsteltet; du skal foretage Renselsen og udføre Svingningen med dem,
16 For, given, given, they are unto me, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —instead of every firstborn that a mother beareth from among the sons of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
thi de er skænket mig som Gave af Israeliternes Midte; i Stedet for alt hvad der aabner Moders Liv, alle førstefødte hos Israeliterne, har jeg taget mig dem til Ejendom.
17 For mine, is every firstborn among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts, —on the day when I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, did I hallow them unto me.
Thi mig tilhører alt det førstefødte hos Israeliterne, baade af Mennesker og Kvæg. Dengang jeg slog alle de førstefødte i Ægypten, helligede jeg dem til at være min Ejendom.
18 Therefore have I taken the Levites, —instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel;
Jeg tog Leviterne i Stedet for alt det førstefødte hos Israeliterne
19 therefore have I given the Levites as a gift unto Aaron and unto his sons, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the laborious work of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to put a propitiatory-covering over the sons of Israel, —so shall there be among the sons of Israel, no plague, by the coming nigh of the sons of Israel unto the sanctuary.
og skænkede Leviterne som Gave til Aron og hans Sønner af Israeliternes Midte til at udføre Israeliternes Arbejde ved Aabenbaringsteltet og skaffe Israeliterne Soning, for at ingen Plage skal ramme Israeliterne, om de selv nærmer sig Helligdommen.
20 And Moses and Aaron and all the assembly of the sons of Israel did thus unto the Levites, —according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses as touching the Levites, so, did the sons of Israel unto them.
Og Moses, Aron og hele Israeliternes Menighed gjorde saaledes med Leviterne; ganske som HERREN havde paalagt Moses med Hensyn til Leviterne, gjorde Israeliterne med dem.
21 And the Levites accepted the cleansing from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Yahweh, —and Aaron put a propitiatory-covering over them to make them pure.
Leviterne lod sig rense for Synd og tvættede deres Klæder, og Aron udførte Svingningen med dem for HERRENS Aasyn, og Aron skaffede dem Soning, saa de blev rene.
22 And after that, went the Levites in to do their laborious work in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons, —as Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so, did they unto them.
Derpaa kom Leviterne for at udføre deres Arbejde ved Aabenbaringsteltet under Arons og hans Sønners Tilsyn; som HERREN havde paalagt Moses med Hensyn til Leviterne, saaledes gjorde de med dem.
23 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying;
HERREN talede fremdeles til Moses og sagde:
24 This is what concerneth the Levites, —from twenty-five years old and upwards, shall they enter to take rank in the host, for doing the laborious work of the tent of meeting;
Dette er, hvad der gælder Leviterne: Fra Femogtyveaarsalderen og opefter skal de komme og gøre Tjeneste med Arbejdet ved Aabenbaringsteltet.
25 but from the age of fifty years, shall they retire from taking rank in the labour, and shall do laborious work no more;
Men fra Halvtredsaarsalderen skal de holde op med at gøre Tjeneste og ikke arbejde mere;
26 yet shall they wait upon their brethren in the tent of meeting, by keeping charge, but laborious work, shall they not perform, —thus, shalt thou do unto the Levites, as touching their charges.
de kan gaa deres Brødre til Haande i Aabenbaringsteltet med at tage Vare paa, hvad der skal varetages; men Arbejde skal de ikke mere gøre. Saaledes skal du gøre med Leviterne i alt, hvad de har at varetage.
