Numbers 34

1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

Weiter sagte der HERR zu Mose:

2 Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

»Folgende Verordnungen sollst du den Israeliten mitteilen: Wenn ihr in das Land Kanaan kommt, so soll dies das Gebiet sein, das euch als Erbbesitz zufällt: das Land Kanaan in seinem ganzen Umfang.

3 Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

Und zwar soll die Südseite sich euch von der Wüste Zin an, Edom entlang, hinziehen, so daß eure Südgrenze im Osten am (südlichen) Ende des Salzmeeres beginnt.

4 and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

Dann soll eure Grenze südlich vom Skorpionenstieg umbiegen und sich nach Zin hinüberziehen, wo sie südlich von Kades-Barnea endigt; von dort soll sie weiter nach Hazar-Addar hin laufen und nach Azmon hinübergehen;

5 then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

und von Azmon wende sich die Grenze nach dem Bach Ägyptens hin und endige nach dem Westmeer zu. –

6 And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

Was sodann die Westgrenze betrifft, so gelte euch da das große Meer zugleich als Grenze; das soll eure Westgrenze sein. –

7 And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

Und folgendes soll eure Nordgrenze sein: vom großen Westmeer an sollt ihr euch eine Grenzlinie bis zum Berge Hor ziehen;

8 From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

vom Berge Hor an sollt ihr euch eine Grenzlinie in der Richtung auf Hamath hin ziehen, und das Ende der Grenze soll nach Zedad hin sein;

9 then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

dann laufe die Grenze weiter nach Siphron hin und erreiche ihr Ende bei Hazar-Enan. Das soll eure Nordgrenze sein. –

10 Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

Als Ostgrenze aber sollt ihr euch eine Linie von Hazar-Enan nach Sepham festsetzen;

11 and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

und von Sepham gehe die Grenze nach Ha-Ribla hinab östlich von Ain; dann ziehe sich die Grenze noch weiter hinab und stoße auf den Höhenzug östlich vom See Genezareth;

12 then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

dann ziehe sich die Grenze den Jordan entlang hinab und erreiche ihr Ende am Salzmeer. Dies soll euer Land nach seinen Grenzen ringsum sein.«

13 And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

Mose gab dann den Israeliten folgende Weisung: »Dies ist das Land, das ihr euch durchs Los als euren Erbbesitz zuteilen sollt und das der HERR den neun Stämmen und dem halben Stamm (Manasse) zu geben geboten hat.

14 For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

Denn alle zu den beiden Stämmen Ruben und Gad gehörenden Familien und der halbe Stamm Manasse haben ihren Erbbesitz bereits empfangen.

15 the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

Diese zweieinhalb Stämme haben ihren Erbbesitz auf der andern Seite des Jordans, Jericho gegenüber, im Osten, nach Sonnenaufgang hin, bereits erhalten.«

16 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

Weiter sagte der HERR zu Mose folgendes:

17 These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

»Dies sind die Namen der Männer, die das Land als Erbbesitz unter euch verteilen sollen: der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn Nuns;

18 Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

dazu sollt ihr von jedem Stamm einen Fürsten zu der Verteilung des Landes hinzuziehen.

19 These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

Und dies sind die Namen der Männer: für den Stamm Juda: Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes;

20 And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

für den Stamm Simeon: Samuel, der Sohn Ammihuds;

21 For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

für den Stamm Benjamin: Elidad, der Sohn Kislons;

22 And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:

für den Stamm Dan als Fürst: Bukki, der Sohn Joglis;

23 For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;

für die Nachkommen Josephs: für den Stamm Manasse als Fürst: Hanniel, der Sohn Ephods,

24 And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

und für den Stamm Ephraim als Fürst: Kemuel, der Sohn Siphtans;

25 And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

für den Stamm Sebulon als Fürst: Elizaphan, der Sohn Parnachs;

26 And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;

für den Stamm Issaschar als Fürst: Paltiel, der Sohn Assans;

27 And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:

für den Stamm Asser als Fürst: Ahihud, der Sohn Selomis;

28 And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

für den Stamm Naphthali als Fürst: Pedahel, der Sohn Ammihuds.«

29 These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.

Diese waren es, denen der HERR gebot, den Israeliten ihren Erbbesitz im Lande Kanaan zuzuteilen.
