Numbers 30

1 And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel saying: This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded-

மோசே இஸ்ரயேல் கோத்திரத்தின் தலைவர்களிடம் சொன்னதாவது: “யெகோவா கட்டளையிடுவது இதுவே:

2 When, a man, shall vow a vow unto Yahweh, or swear an oath to bind a bond upon his soul, he shall not break his word, —according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth, shall he do.

ஒரு மனிதன் யெகோவாவுடன் பொருத்தனைபண்ணுகிறபோதோ அல்லது ஒரு வாக்குறுதியின்படி தான் நடப்பதாக ஆணையிடும்போதோ, அவன் தன் வாக்கை மீறாமல் தான் சொன்ன எல்லாவற்றின்படியும் செய்யவேண்டும்.

3 And, when, a woman, shall vow a vow unto Yahweh, and bind a bond, in the house of her father, in her youth;

“ஒரு இளம்பெண் தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டில் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு நேர்த்திக்கடனைச் செய்திருக்கலாம் அல்லது ஒரு வாக்குறுதியின்படி நடப்பதற்குத் தன்னைக் கடமைப்படுத்தி இருக்கலாம்.

4 and her father shall hear her vow or her bond which she bindeth upon her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her, then shall all her vows stand, and every bond which she hath bound upon her soul shall stand.

அப்போது அவளுடைய தகப்பன் அவளுடைய நேர்த்திக்கடனைப்பற்றியோ, வாக்குறுதியைப்பற்றியோ கேள்விப்பட்டும், அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தால், அவள் செய்வதாக வாக்களித்த அவளுடைய எல்லா நேர்த்திக்கடன்களும் எல்லா வாக்குறுதிகளும் நிறைவேற்றப்படவேண்டும்.

5 But, if her father forbade her, in the day when he heard, none of her vows or her bonds which she hath bound upon her soul, shall stand, —and, Yahweh, will pardon her, because her father forbade her.

ஆனால் அவளுடைய தகப்பன் அதைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்படும்போது, அவளை தடைசெய்தால், அவள் தான் செய்வதாகச் சொன்ன எந்தவொரு நேர்த்திக்கடனோ வாக்குறுதியோ நிறைவேற்றப்படத் தேவையில்லை. அவள் தகப்பன் அவளைத் தடைசெய்தபடியால், யெகோவா அவளை அதிலிருந்து நீங்கலாக்குகிறார்.

6 But, if she, belonged to a husband, when her vows were taken upon her, —or a rash utterance fell from her lips, wherewith she put a bond upon her soul;

“ஒரு நேர்த்திக்கடனைச் செய்தபின்போ அல்லது தன் உதடுகளால் முன்யோசனையின்றி வாக்குப்பண்ணி கடமைப்படுத்திய பின்போ அவள் திருமணம் செய்திருக்கலாம்.

7 and her husband heard it, and on the day that he heard, he held his peace at her, then shall her vows stand and her bonds which she hath bound upon her soul, shall stand,

அப்போது அவள் கணவன் அதைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டும் அவளுக்குத் தடையொன்றும் தெரிவிக்காவிட்டால், அவள் செய்வதாக வாக்களித்த அவளுடைய எல்லா நேர்த்திக்கடன்களும், எல்லா வாக்குறுதிகளும் நிறைவேற்றப்படவேண்டும்.

8 But if, on the day her husband heard, he forbade her, then shall he have made of none effect her vow that is upon her, or the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she put a bond upon her soul, —and, Yahweh, will pardon her.

ஆனால் அவள் கணவன் அதைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்படும்போது அவளைத் தடுத்தால், அவள் தான் செய்வதாகச் சொன்ன நேர்த்திக்கடனையும், தான் கைக்கொண்டு நடப்பதாகச்சொன்ன அவளுடைய முன்யோசனையின்றிச் செய்த வாக்குறுதிகளையும் அவளுடைய கணவன் இல்லாமலாக்கிவிடுகிறான். ஆகவே யெகோவா அவளை அதிலிருந்து நீங்கலாக்குகிறார்.

9 But as for the vow of a widow, or of a woman divorced, whatsoever she hath bound on her soul, shall stand against her.

“ஆனால் ஒரு விதவையோ அல்லது விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்ணோ எந்த ஒரு நேர்த்திக்கடனையோ அல்லது வாக்குறுதியையோ செய்தால் அதற்கு அவள் கட்டுப்பட்டே ஆகவேண்டும்.

10 But, if in the house of her husband, she vowed, or bound a bond upon her soul. with an oath;

“தன் கணவனோடு வாழ்கின்ற ஒரு பெண் ஒரு நேர்த்திக்கடனைச் செய்தோ அல்லது ஒரு வாக்குறுதியை ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்தோ தன்னைக் கடமைப்படுத்தக்கூடும்.

11 and her husband heard, and held his peace at her, did not forbid her, then shall all her vows stand, and every bond which she hath bound upon her soul, shall stand.

அப்போது அவள் கணவன் அதைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாமலும், அவளைத் தடை செய்யாமலும் இருந்தால், அவள் தன்னுடைய நேர்த்திக்கடனையும், தன்னைக் கட்டுப்படுத்த அவள் கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதிகளையும் நிறைவேற்றவேண்டும்.

12 But if her husband, did make, them, of none effect, on the day he heard, nothing which came forth out of her lips—of her vows, or of the bond of her soul, shall stand, —her husband, made it of none effect, and Yahweh, will pardon her:

ஆனால் அவள் கணவன் அவற்றைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்படும்போது, அவற்றை இல்லாமல் செய்தால் அவளின் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நேர்த்திக்கடனையோ வாக்குறுதியையோ அவள் நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டியதில்லை. அவளுடைய கணவன் அவற்றை இல்லாமல் செய்துவிட்டான். ஆகவே யெகோவாவும் அவளை அவைகளிலிருந்து நீங்கலாக்கிவிடுவார்.

13 As for any vow, or any oath of binding, to humble one’s soul, her husband, may make it stand, or, her husband, may make it of none effect.

அவள் செய்யும் எந்த நேர்த்திக்கடனையோ அல்லது தன்னை தாழ்மைப்படுத்தும்படி அவள் கொடுக்கும் எந்த வாக்குறுதியையோ நிலைக்கச் செய்யவும், இல்லாமல் செய்யவும் அவள் கணவனுக்கு உரிமை உண்டு.

14 But if her husband do hold his peace, at her, from day to day, then shall he cause all her vows to stand, or all her bonds which are upon her, —cause them to stand, because he held his peace at her, on the day when he heard.

அவள் கணவன் அதைப்பற்றி அறிந்தும், ஒருநாளும் அதைப்பற்றி அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தால், அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய நேர்த்திக்கடன்களையும், தன்னைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தும் வாக்குறுதிகளையும் உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறான். அவன் அவற்றைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டும் அதைப்பற்றி அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தபடியால், அவன் அவற்றை உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறான்.

15 And, if he, do make them of none effect, after that he hath heard them, then shall he bear her iniquity.

ஆனாலும், அவன் அவற்றைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டும் சிறிதுகாலம் கழித்தே அதை இல்லாமல் செய்வானாகில், அவளுடைய குற்றத்திற்கு அவனே பொறுப்பாளியாவான்.”

16 These are the statutes which Yahweh commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth in the house of her father.

ஒரு மனிதனுக்கும் அவனுடைய மனைவிக்கும் இடையிலும், ஒரு தகப்பனுக்கும், அவனுடைய வீட்டில் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் இளவயதான மகளுக்கும் இடையிலும் உள்ள உறவுகளைப்பற்றி யெகோவா மோசேக்குக் கொடுத்த விதிமுறைகள் இவையே.
