Numbers 26
1 And it came to pass, after the plague, that Yahweh spake unto Moses, and unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying:
Lẹ́yìn àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn Olúwa sọ fún Mose àti Eleasari ọmọ Aaroni, àlùfáà pé,
2 Reckon ye up the sum of all the assembly of the sons of Israel from twenty years old and upwards, by their ancestral houses, —every one able to go forth to war in Israel.
“Ka iye gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọ́n; láti ẹni ogun ọdún àti jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ tí ó lè jà lójú ogun ní Israẹli.”
3 So then Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them, in the waste plains of Moab, —by the Jordan near Jericho saying:
Lórí pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ ti Moabu pẹ̀lú Jordani tí ó kọjá Jeriko, Mose àti Eleasari àlùfáà sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú wọn ó wí pé,
4 From twenty years old and upwards, As Yahweh commanded Moses, and the sons of Israel, who had come forth out of the land of Egypt.
“Ka iye àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ-ogun ọdún tàbí jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti pàṣẹ fún Mose.” Èyí ni àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tí ó jáde láti Ejibiti wá.
5 Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, —the sons of Reuben, To Hanoch, pertained the family of the Hanochites; To Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
Àwọn ọmọ Reubeni, àkọ́bí ọmọkùnrin Israẹli, láti ẹni ti ìdílé Hanoku, láti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí ìdílé Hanoku ti jáde wá, láti ìdílé Pallu, láti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Pallu ti jáde wá;
6 To Hezron, the family of the Hezronites, —To Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
ti Hesroni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Hesroni; ti Karmi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Karmi.
7 These, are the families of the Reubenites, —and they who were numbered of them were found to be—forty-three thousand, and seven hundred, and thirty.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Reubeni; àwọn tí a sì kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá mọ́kànlélógún ó lé lẹ́gbẹ̀sán ó dín àádọ́rin.
8 Now, the sons of Pallu, were Eliab;
Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Pallu ni Eliabu,
9 and the sons of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan and Abiram, —The same, Dathan and Abiram, notable men of the assembly, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the assembly of Korah, when they contended against Yahweh;
àwọn ọmọkùnrin Elifelehu ni Nemueli àti Eliabu, Datani àti Abiramu. Èyí ni Datani àti Abiramu náà tí wọ́n ní òkìkí nínú ìjọ tí ó jẹ́ ọlọ̀tẹ̀ sí Mose àti Aaroni tí ó sì wà lára àwọn ẹgbẹ́ Kora nígbà tí wọ́n bá Olúwa jà.
10 and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up—with Korah also, when the assembly died, —when the fire consumed two hundred and fifty men, and they became a warning;
Ilẹ̀ sì la ẹnu rẹ̀, ó sì gbé wọn mì pọ̀ pẹ̀lú Kora, nígbà tí ẹgbẹ́ rẹ̀ kú níbi tí iná ti run àwọn àádọ́ta lé nígba ọkùnrin. Tí wọ́n sì di àmì ìkìlọ̀.
11 But, the sons of Korah, died not.
Àwọn ọmọ Kora, bí ó ti wù kí ó rí, wọn kò kú.
12 The sons of Simeon, by their families, To Nemuel, pertained the family of the Nemuelites, To Jamin, the family of the Jaminites, —To Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:
Àwọn ọmọ ìran Simeoni bí ìdílé wọn: ti Nemueli, ìdílé Nemueli; ti Jamini, ìdílé Jamini; ti Jakini, ìdílé Jakini;
13 To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites, —To Shaul, the family of the Shaulites:
ti Sera, ìdílé Sera; tí Saulu, ìdílé Saulu.
14 These, are the families of the Simeonites, —two and twenty thousand and two hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Simeoni, ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlélógún ó lé igba ọkùnrin.
15 The sons of Gad, by their families, To Zephon, pertained the family of the Zephonites; To Haggi, the family of the Haggites, —To Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
Àwọn ọmọ Gadi bí ìdílé wọn: ti Sefoni, ìdílé Sefoni; ti Haggi, ìdílé Haggi; ti Ṣuni, ìdílé Ṣuni;
16 To Ozni, the family of the Oznites, —To Eri, the family of the Erites;
ti Osni, ìdílé Osni; ti Eri, ìdílé Eri;
17 To Arod, the family of the Arodites, —To Arelites, the family of the Arelites:
ti Arodi, ìdílé Arodi; ti Areli, ìdílé Areli.
18 These, are the families of the sons of Gad, as to them who were numbered of them, —forty thousand and five hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Gadi tí iye wọn sì jẹ́ ọ̀kẹ́ méjì ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta.
19 The sons of Judah, Er and Onan, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.
Àwọn ọmọ Juda ni Eri àti Onani, ṣùgbọ́n Eri àti Onani kú ní ilẹ̀ Kenaani.
20 And so, as to the sons of Judah, by their families, it was found that—To Shelah, pertained the family of the Shelanites, To Perez, the family of the Perezites, —To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites;
Àti àwọn ọmọ Juda gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Ṣela, ìdílé Ṣela; ti Peresi, ìdílé Peresi; ti Sera, ìdílé Sera.
21 And, as to the sons of Perez, it was found that—To Hezron, pertained the family of the Hezronites, —To Hamul, the family of the Hamulites:
Àwọn ọmọ Peresi: ti Hesroni, ìdílé Hesroni; ti Hamulu, ìdílé Hamulu.
22 These, are the families of Judah, as to them who were numbered of them, —seventy-six thousand, and five hundred,
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Juda; gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn tí iye wọn sì jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìdínlógójì ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta.
23 The sons of Issachar, by their families, Unto Tola, pertained the family of the Tolaites, —To Puvah, the family of the Puvites;
Àwọn ọmọ Isakari gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Tola, ìdílé Tola; ti Pufa, ìdílé Pufa;
24 To Jashub, the family of the Jashubites, —To Shimron, the family of the Shimronites:
ti Jaṣubu, ìdílé Jaṣubu; ti Ṣimroni, ìdílé Ṣimroni.
25 These, are the families of Issachar. as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty-four thousand, and three hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Isakari gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn tí iye wọn sì jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélọ́gbọ̀n ó lé ọ̀ọ́dúnrún.
26 The sons of Zebulun, by their families, To Sered, pertained the family of the Seredites, To Elon, the family of the Elonites, —To Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites:
Àwọn ọmọ Sebuluni gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Seredi, ìdílé Seredi; ti Eloni, ìdílé Eloni; ti Jaleeli, ìdílé Jaleeli.
27 These are the families of the Zebulunites as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty thousand, and five hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Sebuluni gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn tí iye wọn sì jẹ́ ọ̀kẹ́ mẹ́ta ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta.
28 The sons of Joseph by their families, —Manasseh, and Ephraim.
Àwọn ọmọ Josẹfu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn; Manase àti Efraimu.
29 The sons of Manasseh, To Machir, pertained the family of the Machirites, and, Machir, begat Gilead, —To Gilead, pertained the family of the Gileadites.
Àwọn ọmọ Manase: ti Makiri, ìdílé Makiri (Makiri sì bí Gileadi); ti Gileadi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Gileadi.
30 These are the sons of Gilead: Iezer, the family of the Iezerites, —To Helek, the family of the Helekites;
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Gileadi: ti Ieseri, ìdílé Ieseri; ti Heleki, ìdílé Heleki
31 And Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; And, Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;
àti ti Asrieli, ìdílé Asrieli; àti ti Ṣekemu, ìdílé Ṣekemu;
32 And Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; And, Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.
àti Ṣemida, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣemida; àti ti Heferi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Heferi.
33 Now Zelophehad, son of Hepher, had no sons, but only, daughters, —and, the names of the daughters of Zelophehad, were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah Milcah, and Tirzah.
(Selofehadi ọmọ Heferi kò sì ni ọmọkùnrin, bí kò ṣe ọmọbìnrin; orúkọ àwọn ọmọbìnrin ni Mahila, Noa, àti Hogla, Milka àti Tirsa).
34 These, are the families of Manasseh, —and, they who were numbered of them, —fifty-two thousand, and seven hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Manase tí iye wọn sì jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́rìndínlọ́gbọ̀n ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rin.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim by their families, To Shuthelah, pertained the family of the Shuthelahites, To Becher, the family of the Becherites, —To Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Efraimu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ṣutelahi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣutelahi; ti Bekeri, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Bekeri; ti Tahani, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Tahani.
36 And, these, are the sons of Shuthelah, To Eran, pertained the family of the Eranites.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Ṣutelahi: ti Erani, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Erani.
37 These, are the families of the sons of Ephraim, as to them who were numbered of them, —thirty-two thousand, and five hundred, These, are the sons of Joseph by their families.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Efraimu, àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn sì jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́rìndínlógún ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta. Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Josẹfu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn.
38 The sons of Benjamin by their families, To Bela, pertained the family of the Belaites, To Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites, —To Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;
Àwọn ọmọ Benjamini gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn nìyìí: tí Bela, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Bela; ti Aṣbeli, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Aṣbeli; ti Ahiramu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ahiramu;
39 To Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites, —To Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
ti Ṣufamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣufamu; ti Hufamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Hufamu.
40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman, —[To Ard, pertained] the family of the Ardites, To Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
Àwọn ọmọ Bela ní ipasẹ̀ Ardi àti Naamani nìyìí: ti Ardi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ardi; ti Naamani, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Naamani.
41 These, are the sons of Benjamin by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, —were forty-five thousand and six hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Benjamini; gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn; àti àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélógún ó lé ẹgbẹ̀jọ.
42 These, are the sons of Dan, by their families: To Shuham, pertained the family of the Shuhamites, —These, are the families of Dan by their families:
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Dani gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Ṣuhamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣuhamu. Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Dani gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn.
43 All the families of the Shuhamites, as to them who were numbered of them, were, sixty-four thousand, and four hundred.
Gbogbo ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣuhamu, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélọ́gbọ̀n ó lé irinwó.
44 The sons of Asher, by their families: To Imnah, pertained the family of the Imnites, To Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites, —To Beriah, the family of the Beriites;
Ti àwọn ọmọ Aṣeri gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Imina, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Imina; ti Iṣfi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Iṣfi; ti Beriah, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Berii.
45 To the sons of Beriah, To Heber, pertained the family of the Heberites, To Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites;
Ti àwọn ọmọ Beriah: ti Heberi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Heberi; ti Malkieli, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Malkieli.
46 And, the name of the daughter of Asher, was Serah.
(Orúkọ ọmọ Aṣeri obìnrin nì jẹ́ Sera.)
47 These, are the families of the sons of Asher as to them who were numbered of them, —fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Aṣeri gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́rìndínlọ́gbọ̀n ó lé egbèje.
48 The sons of Naphtali, by their families, To Jahzeel, pertained the family of the Jahzeelites; To Guni, the family of the Gunites:
Ti àwọn ọmọ Naftali gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Jasieli, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Jaseeli: ti Guni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Guni;
49 To Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; To Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
ti Jeseri, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Jeṣeri; ti Ṣillemu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣillemu.
50 These are the families of Naphtali, by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand and four hundred.
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé ti Naftali gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn, àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélógún ó lé egbèje.
51 These, are they who were numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and one thousand, —seven hundred and thirty,
Àpapọ̀ iye tí a kà nínú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli jẹ́ ọgbọ̀n ọ̀kẹ́ ó lé ẹgbẹ̀sán dín làádọ́rin.
52 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé,
53 Unto these, shall be apportioned the land as an inheritance by the number of names.
“Ilẹ̀ náà gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ pínpín fún wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ogún wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí iye orúkọ wọn.
54 For the large one, thou shalt make large his inheritance, and for the small one, thou shalt make small his inheritance, —unto each one, in proportion to them who were numbered of him, shall be given his inheritance.
Fún àwọn ọ̀pọ̀ ni kí ìwọ ó fún ní ogún ìlú púpọ̀ àti fún àwọn tí ó kéré ni kí ìwọ ó fi kékeré fún, ẹnìkọ̀ọ̀kan gbọdọ̀ gba ogún ìbí tirẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ènìyàn tí a kọ.
55 Nevertheless by lot, shall the land be apportioned, —by the names of the tribes of their fathers, shall they inherit.
Rí dájú pé ilẹ̀ yìí gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ fífi ìbò pín gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọn sì ti pọ̀ tó. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí orúkọ ẹ̀yà àwọn baba wọn ni kí wọn kí ó ni í.
56 At the bidding of the lot, shall be apportioned his inheritance, —between large and small.
Olúkúlùkù ogún ìní ni a gbọdọ̀ fi ìbò pín gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ti pọ̀ tó láàrín ńlá àti kékeré.”
57 And these, are they who were numbered of the Levites by their families, To Gershon, pertained the family of the Gershonites, To Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; To Merari, the family of the Merarites.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Lefi tí a kà nínú wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Gerṣoni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Gerṣoni; ti Kohati, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Kohati; ti Merari, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Merari.
58 These, are the families of Levi—The family of the Libnites, The family of the Hebronites, The family of the Mahlites, The family of the Mushites, The family of the Korahites, —And, Kohath, begat Amram;
Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Lefi; ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Libni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Hebroni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Mahili, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Muṣi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Kora. (Kohati ni baba Amramu,
59 and the name of the wife of Amram, was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt, —and she bare to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister:
orúkọ aya Amramu sì ń jẹ́ Jokebedi, ọmọbìnrin Lefi, tí ìyá rẹ̀ bí fún Lefi ní Ejibiti. Òun sì bí Aaroni, Mose, àti Miriamu arábìnrin wọn fún Amramu.
60 And, there were born to Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, —Eleazar and Ithamar;
Aaroni ni baba Nadabu àti Abihu, Eleasari àti Itamari.
61 But Nadab and Abihu died, —when they brought near strange fire before Yahweh:
Ṣùgbọ́n Nadabu àti Abihu kú, nígbà tí wọ́n rú ẹbọ níwájú Olúwa nígbà tí wọ́n mú iná àjèjì wá.)
62 And they who were numbered of them were found to be—twenty-three thousand, all the males from one month old and upwards—for they had not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because there was given unto them no inheritance, in the midst of the sons of Israel.
Gbogbo àwọn ọmọkùnrin Lefi láti oṣù kan àti ju bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlélógún ó lé lẹ́gbẹ̀rún. Wọn kò ka wọ́n mọ́ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tókù nítorí tí wọ́n kò gba ogún ìní lára wọn.
63 These, are they who were numbered by Moses, and Eleazar, the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel, in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan, near Jericho.
Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni Mose àti Eleasari àlùfáà kà nígbà tí wọ́n ka àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Moabu lẹ́bàá odò Jordani létí Jeriko.
64 And among these, was there not found a man of them who had been numbered by Moses, and Aaron the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel in the desert of Sinai.
Kò sí ẹnìkan nínú àwọn tí Mose àti Aaroni àlùfáà kà nígbà tí wọ́n ka àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ní aginjù Sinai.
65 For Yahweh had said of them, They shall surely die, in the desert. And there was not left of them a man, save only, Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.
Nítorí Olúwa ti sọ fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli pé kíkú ni wọn yóò kú sí aginjù, kò sì sí ẹnìkankan nínú wọn tí kò kú àfi Kalebu ọmọ Jefunne, àti Joṣua ọmọ Nuni.
