Numbers 26
1 And it came to pass, after the plague, that Yahweh spake unto Moses, and unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying:
Da sprach der Herr zu Moses und Eleazar, dem Sohn des Priesters Aaron:
2 Reckon ye up the sum of all the assembly of the sons of Israel from twenty years old and upwards, by their ancestral houses, —every one able to go forth to war in Israel.
"Nehmt die Gesamtzahl der ganzen israelitischen Gemeinde auf, von zwanzig Jahren aufwärts, nach Familien, alle Heerespflichtigen in Israel!"
3 So then Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them, in the waste plains of Moab, —by the Jordan near Jericho saying:
Da ließen Moses und der Priester Eleazar sie in den Steppen Moabs, am Jordan bei Jericho, zur Musterung kommen,
4 From twenty years old and upwards, As Yahweh commanded Moses, and the sons of Israel, who had come forth out of the land of Egypt.
Von zwanzig Jahren aufwärts, wie der Herr dem Moses befohlen. Die Israeliten, die aus dem Lande Ägypten ausgezogen waren:
5 Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, —the sons of Reuben, To Hanoch, pertained the family of the Hanochites; To Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
Israels Erstgeborener Ruben: Rubens Söhne: Chanok mit der Sippe der Chanokiter, Pallu mit der der Palluiter,
6 To Hezron, the family of the Hezronites, —To Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
Chesron mit der der Chesroniter, Karmi mit der der Karmiter.
7 These, are the families of the Reubenites, —and they who were numbered of them were found to be—forty-three thousand, and seven hundred, and thirty.
Das sind die Sippen der Rubeniter; die Zahl ihrer Ausgemusterten betrug 43.730.
8 Now, the sons of Pallu, were Eliab;
Pallus Söhne: Eliab.
9 and the sons of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan and Abiram, —The same, Dathan and Abiram, notable men of the assembly, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the assembly of Korah, when they contended against Yahweh;
Eliabs Söhne waren Nemuel, Datan und Abiram. Datan und Abiram waren die von der Rotte Berufenen, die wider Moses und Aaron unter der Rotte Korachs gehadert, als sie im Hader mit dem Herrn lagen,
10 and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up—with Korah also, when the assembly died, —when the fire consumed two hundred and fifty men, and they became a warning;
worauf die Erde ihren Schlund auftat und sie mit Korach verschlang, während die Rotte umkam, indem das Feuer die 250 Mann verzehrte, so daß sie zu einem Zeichen wurden.
11 But, the sons of Korah, died not.
Die Söhne Korachs aber kamen nicht um.
12 The sons of Simeon, by their families, To Nemuel, pertained the family of the Nemuelites, To Jamin, the family of the Jaminites, —To Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:
Simeons Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Nemuel mit der Sippe der Nemueliter, Jamin mit der der Jaminiter, Jakin mit der der Jakiniter,
13 To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites, —To Shaul, the family of the Shaulites:
Zerach mit der der Zerachiter, Saul mit der der Sauliter.
14 These, are the families of the Simeonites, —two and twenty thousand and two hundred.
Dies sind die Sippen der Simeoniter 22.200.
15 The sons of Gad, by their families, To Zephon, pertained the family of the Zephonites; To Haggi, the family of the Haggites, —To Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
Gads Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Sephon mit der der Sephoniter, Chaggi mit der der Chaggiter, Suni mit der der Suniter,
16 To Ozni, the family of the Oznites, —To Eri, the family of the Erites;
Ozni mit der der Ozniter, Eri mit der der Eriter.
17 To Arod, the family of the Arodites, —To Arelites, the family of the Arelites:
Arod mit der der Aroditer, Areli mit der der Areliter.
18 These, are the families of the sons of Gad, as to them who were numbered of them, —forty thousand and five hundred.
Das sind die Sippen der Gadsöhne nach ihren Gemusterten, 40.500.
19 The sons of Judah, Er and Onan, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.
Judas Söhne waren Er und Onan. Er und Onan aber waren im Lande Kanaan gestorben.
20 And so, as to the sons of Judah, by their families, it was found that—To Shelah, pertained the family of the Shelanites, To Perez, the family of the Perezites, —To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites;
Judas Söhne nach ihren Sippen waren dies: Sela mit der der Selaniter, Peres mit der der Persiter. Zerach mit der der Zarchiter.
21 And, as to the sons of Perez, it was found that—To Hezron, pertained the family of the Hezronites, —To Hamul, the family of the Hamulites:
Des Peres Söhne waren diese: Chesron mit der Sippe der Chesroniter, Chamul mit der der Chamuliter.
22 These, are the families of Judah, as to them who were numbered of them, —seventy-six thousand, and five hundred,
Dies sind Judas Sippen nach ihren Gemusterten, 76.500.
23 The sons of Issachar, by their families, Unto Tola, pertained the family of the Tolaites, —To Puvah, the family of the Puvites;
Issakars Söhne nach ihren Sippen waren: Tola mit der der Tolaiter, Puwwa mit der der Puniter.
24 To Jashub, the family of the Jashubites, —To Shimron, the family of the Shimronites:
Jasub mit der der Jasubiter, Simron mit der der Simroniter.
25 These, are the families of Issachar. as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty-four thousand, and three hundred.
Dies sind Issakars Sippen nach ihren Gemusterten, 64.300.
26 The sons of Zebulun, by their families, To Sered, pertained the family of the Seredites, To Elon, the family of the Elonites, —To Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites:
Zabulons Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Sered mit der der Serditer, Elon mit der der Eloniter, Jachleel mit der der Jachleeliter.
27 These are the families of the Zebulunites as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty thousand, and five hundred.
Dies sind die Sippen der Zabuloniter nach ihrem Gemusterten, 60.500.
28 The sons of Joseph by their families, —Manasseh, and Ephraim.
Josephs Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Manasse und Ephraim.
29 The sons of Manasseh, To Machir, pertained the family of the Machirites, and, Machir, begat Gilead, —To Gilead, pertained the family of the Gileadites.
Manasses Söhne: Makir mit der Sippe der Makiriter. Makir zeugte Gilead. Von Gilead die Sippe der Gileaditer.
30 These are the sons of Gilead: Iezer, the family of the Iezerites, —To Helek, the family of the Helekites;
Dies sind die Söhne Gileads: Jezer mit der Sippe der Jezriter, Chelek mit der der Chelkiter,
31 And Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; And, Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;
Asriel mit der der Asrieliter, Sekem mit der der Sikmiter,
32 And Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; And, Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.
Semida mit der der Semidaiter, Chepher mit der der Chephriter.
33 Now Zelophehad, son of Hepher, had no sons, but only, daughters, —and, the names of the daughters of Zelophehad, were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah Milcah, and Tirzah.
Selophchad, Chephers Sohn, hatte keine Söhne, nur Töchter. Selophchads Töchter hießen Machla, Noa, Chogla, Milka und Tirsa.
34 These, are the families of Manasseh, —and, they who were numbered of them, —fifty-two thousand, and seven hundred.
Dies sind die Sippen Manasses, und ihrer Gemusterten waren es 52.700.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim by their families, To Shuthelah, pertained the family of the Shuthelahites, To Becher, the family of the Becherites, —To Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
Dies sind Ephraims Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Sutelach mit der der Sutalchiter, Beker mit der der Bakriter, Tachan mit der der Tachaniter.
36 And, these, are the sons of Shuthelah, To Eran, pertained the family of the Eranites.
Dies sind Sutelachs Söhne: Eran mit der Sippe der Eraniter.
37 These, are the families of the sons of Ephraim, as to them who were numbered of them, —thirty-two thousand, and five hundred, These, are the sons of Joseph by their families.
Dies sind die Sippen der Söhne Ephraims nach ihren Gemusterten, 32.500. Dies sind die Josephsöhne nach ihren Sippen.
38 The sons of Benjamin by their families, To Bela, pertained the family of the Belaites, To Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites, —To Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;
Benjamins Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Bela mit der der Baliter, Asbel mit der der Asbeliter, Achiram mit der der Achiramiter,
39 To Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites, —To Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
Sephupham mit der der Suphamiter, Chupham mit der der Chuphainiter.
40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman, —[To Ard, pertained] the family of the Ardites, To Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
Belas Söhne waren Ard und Naaman, Ard mit der Sippe der Arditer, Naaman mit der der Naamaniter.
41 These, are the sons of Benjamin by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, —were forty-five thousand and six hundred.
Dies sind Benjamins Söhne nach ihren Sippen, und ihrer Gemusterten waren es 45.600.
42 These, are the sons of Dan, by their families: To Shuham, pertained the family of the Shuhamites, —These, are the families of Dan by their families:
Dies sind Dans Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Sucham mit der der Suchamiter. Das sind Dans Sippen mit ihren Sippen.
43 All the families of the Shuhamites, as to them who were numbered of them, were, sixty-four thousand, and four hundred.
Alle Sippen der Suchamiter nach ihren Gemusterten waren es 64.400.
44 The sons of Asher, by their families: To Imnah, pertained the family of the Imnites, To Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites, —To Beriah, the family of the Beriites;
Assers Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Jimna mit der des Jimna, Jiswi mit der der Iswiter, Beria mit der der Beriiter.
45 To the sons of Beriah, To Heber, pertained the family of the Heberites, To Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites;
Von den Söhnen Berias: Cheber mit der Sippe der Chebriter, Malkiel mit der der Malkieliter.
46 And, the name of the daughter of Asher, was Serah.
Assers Tochter hieß Serach.
47 These, are the families of the sons of Asher as to them who were numbered of them, —fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
Dies sind die Sippen der Söhne Assers nach ihren Gemusterten, 53.400.
48 The sons of Naphtali, by their families, To Jahzeel, pertained the family of the Jahzeelites; To Guni, the family of the Gunites:
Naphtalis Söhne nach ihren Sippen: Jachseel mit der der Jachseeliter, Guni mit der der Guniter,
49 To Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; To Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
Jeser mit der der Isriter, Sillem mit der Sillemiter.
50 These are the families of Naphtali, by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand and four hundred.
Das sind die Sippen Naphtalis nach ihren Sippen, und ihrer Gemusterten waren es 45.400.
51 These, are they who were numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and one thousand, —seven hundred and thirty,
Dies sind die Gemusterten der Söhne Israels: 601.730.
52 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
Und der Herr sprach zu Moses:
53 Unto these, shall be apportioned the land as an inheritance by the number of names.
"Diesen soll das Land als eigen zugeteilt werden nach Namenzahl!
54 For the large one, thou shalt make large his inheritance, and for the small one, thou shalt make small his inheritance, —unto each one, in proportion to them who were numbered of him, shall be given his inheritance.
Du sollst dem, der viel zählt, viel Besitz geben und dem, der wenig zählt, wenig! Nach den Ausgemusterten werde sein Besitz jedem gegeben!
55 Nevertheless by lot, shall the land be apportioned, —by the names of the tribes of their fathers, shall they inherit.
Doch soll das Land durchs Los verteilt werden! Sie sollen es nach den Namen ihrer väterlichen Stämme erhalten.
56 At the bidding of the lot, shall be apportioned his inheritance, —between large and small.
Sein Besitz soll nach dem Los verteilt werden zwischen dem, der viel, und dem, der wenig zählt!"
57 And these, are they who were numbered of the Levites by their families, To Gershon, pertained the family of the Gershonites, To Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; To Merari, the family of the Merarites.
Dies sind die aus Levi Ausgemusterten nach ihren Sippen: Gerson mit der der Gersoniter, Kehat mit der der Kehatiter, Merari mit der der Merariter.
58 These, are the families of Levi—The family of the Libnites, The family of the Hebronites, The family of the Mahlites, The family of the Mushites, The family of the Korahites, —And, Kohath, begat Amram;
Dies sind die Sippen Levis: die der Libniter, die der Chebroniter, die der Machliter, die der Musiter, die der Korchiter. Kehat zeugte Amram.
59 and the name of the wife of Amram, was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt, —and she bare to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister:
Amrams Weib hieß Jokebed, Levis Tochter, die Levi in Ägypten geboren ward. Sie gebar dem Amram Aaron und Moses sowie ihre Schwester Mirjam.
60 And, there were born to Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, —Eleazar and Ithamar;
Aaron wurden Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar und Itamar geboren.
61 But Nadab and Abihu died, —when they brought near strange fire before Yahweh:
Nadab aber und Abiram mußten sterben, als sie vor dem Herrn unbefugt Feuer darbrachten.
62 And they who were numbered of them were found to be—twenty-three thousand, all the males from one month old and upwards—for they had not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because there was given unto them no inheritance, in the midst of the sons of Israel.
Ihre Ausgemusterten beliefen sich auf 23.000, alles Männliche von einem Monat aufwärts. Denn sie waren nicht mit den anderen Israeliten gemustert worden, weil ihnen kein Besitz inmitten der Israeliten geworden war.
63 These, are they who were numbered by Moses, and Eleazar, the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel, in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan, near Jericho.
Das sind die von Moses und dem Priester Eleazar Gemusterten. Sie hatten die Israeliten in den Steppen Moabs am Jordan bei Jericho gemustert.
64 And among these, was there not found a man of them who had been numbered by Moses, and Aaron the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel in the desert of Sinai.
Unter diesen war keiner mehr von den durch Moses und den Priester Aaron Gemusterten. Diese hatten die Israeliten in der Wüste Sinai gemustert.
65 For Yahweh had said of them, They shall surely die, in the desert. And there was not left of them a man, save only, Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.
Denn der Herr hatte zu ihnen gesagt, sie müßten in der Wüste sterben. So war keiner von ihnen mehr übrig, außer Jephunnes Sohn Kaleb und Josue, Nuns Sohn.
