< Numbers 23 >
1 Then said Balaam unto Balak: Build me here seven altars, —and prepare me here, seven bullocks and seven rams.
Le hoe t’i Balame amy Balake, mandrafeta kitrely fito etoañe vaho hajario ho ahy ty añombelahy fito naho añondrilahy fito.
2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken, —and Balak and Balaam caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
Le nihenefa’ i Balake i sinaontsi’ i Balamey; le songa nisoroña’ i Balake naho i Balame amy kitrely rey ty añombelahy naho ty añondrilahy.
3 Then said Balaam unto Balak: Station thyself by thine ascending-sacrifice, and let me go my way—peradventure Yahweh may come and meet me, and what thing soever he may show me, I will tell thee. So he went his way to a bare height.
Le hoe t’i Balame amy Balake, Mijohaña marine o isoroña’oo le hivìke iraho hera hifampikaoñe amako t’Iehovà, le hataliliko azo ze hatoro’e ahiko. Aa le nimb’ an-kaboa mb’eo re.
4 And God came unto Balaam, —so he said unto him The seven altars, have I built in a row, and have caused to ascend, bullock and a ram on each altar.
Le nifañaoñe amy Balame t’i Andrianañahare, vaho hoe t’i Balame ama’e. Fa hinajariko ty kitrely fito naho songa nisoroñako añombelahy naho añondrilahy amy kitreli’e rey.
5 And Yahweh put a word into the mouth of Balaam, —and said—Return unto Balak, and, thus, shalt thou speak.
Napo’ Iehovà am-palie’ i Balame ao ty tsara, ami’ty hoe, Mibaliha mb’ amy Balake mb’eo le inao ty ho saontsie’o.
6 So he returned unto him, and lo! he was stationed by his ascending-sacrifice, —he, and all the princes of Moab.
Le nibalike mb’ama’e mb’eo re nanjo aze nijohañe marine o nisoroña’eo, ie naho ze hene roandria’ i Moabe.
7 So he took up his parable and said, —From Aram, doth Balak conduct me, The king of Moab, from the mountains of the East, Come thou! curse me Jacob, Yea, come thou! rage on Israel.
Le nonjone’e ami’ ty hoe i fandrazaña’ey: Fa ninday ahy boak’ Arame t’i Balake mpanjaka’ i Moabe; hirik’ amo vohitse atiñanañ’eñeo. Mahavia, Ozoño ho ahiko t’Iakòbe, Mb’etoa onjiro t’Israele!
8 How can I revile one whom GOD hath not reviled? Yea, how can I rage on one on whom Yahweh hath not raged?
Aa vaho akore ty hamàrako ty tsy nafàn’ Añahare? Vaho akore ty hañonjirako i tsy nonjira’ Iehovày?
9 Surely from the head of the rocks, do I see him, Yea, from the hills, do I observe him, —Lo! a people, who alone doth dwell, And among the nations, he doth not reckon himself.
Ie talakeko boak’ ambone’ vato ey, sinambako hirik’ ankaboañey; Hehe t’indaty mizoizoy, tsy ho volilieñe amo kilakila ‘ndatio!
10 Who hath counted the dust of Jacob? Or who hath numbered the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the upright, And let my hereafter be like his!
Ia ty mahaiake ty debo’ Iakòbe ndra hamolily ty fah’ efa’ Israele? Apoho iraho hikenkañe am-pihomaha’ o vantañeo, Ehe ampanahafo amy firompoa’ey ty ahiko.
11 Then said Balak unto Balaam, What hast thou done for me? To revile mine enemies, I summoned thee, and lo! thou hast kept on blessing.
Le hoe t’i Balak’ amy Balame, Ino ty nanoe’o amako? Nendeseko mb’ etoan-drehe hañozoñe o rafelahikoo te mone nitatae’o avao.
12 And he answered and said, —Was it not to be so that whatsoever Yahweh should put into my mouth, the same, should I take heed to speak?
Le tinoi’e ami’ty hoe, Tsy hambenako hao ty hivolañe ze apo’ Iehovà am-bavako ao?
13 Then said Balak unto him—Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see him, nothing but his utmost part, shalt thou see, but all of him, shalt thou not see, —and so revile me him from thence.
Le hoe t’i Balake tama’e, Antao mb’ an-toetse raike ey hahatalakesa’o aze; ty ila’e avao ro ho oni’o fa tsy ie iaby, le ozoño boak’ ao ho ahiko.
14 And he took him to the field of Zophim, unto the head of Pisgah, —and built seven altars, and caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
Aa le nendese’e mb’an-tete’ i Tsofime mb’eo re ankaboa’ i Pisgà ey naho nañoreñe kitrely fito, vaho nisoroñe añombelahy naho añondrilahy amy kitreli’e rey.
15 Then said he to Balak, Station thyself here by thine ascending-sacrifice, —while, I, meet him yonder.
Le hoe re amy Balake, Mijohaña etoa marivo o isoroña’oo, le homb’ aroan-draho, hifañaoñe.
16 And Yahweh met Balaam, and put a word into his mouth, —and said—Return unto Balak and thus shalt thou speak.
Nifampikaoñe amy Balame t’Iehovà le nampipoke ty tsara am-palie’e naho nanao ty hoe: Mibaliha mb’amy Balake mb’eo vaho isaontsio izay.
17 So he came in unto him and, there he was-stationed by his ascending-sacrifice, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath Yahweh spoken?
Aa le nimb’ ama’e mb’eo vaho nizoe’e nijohañe amy nisoroña’ey rekets’ o roandria’ i Moabeo. Le hoe t’i Balak’ ama’e, Inoñe ty nitsarae’ Iehovà?
18 Then took he up his parable and said, —Rise, Balak, and hear, Give ear unto me son of Zippor!
Aa le nonjone’e ami’ty hoe i razan-tsaontsi’ey: Miongaha ry Balake, mijanjiña! Anokilaño ravembia ry ana’ i Tsipore.
19 GOD is, not a man, that he should lie, Nor a son of Adam, that he should repent, —Hath, he, said, and will not perform? Yea spoken, and will not make it stand fast?
Tsy ondaty t’i Andrianañahare t’ie handañitse, naho tsy ana’ondaty t’ie haneñeñe. Aa vaho tsy hanoe’e i nitsarae’ey? tsy ho henefe’e hao i nitaroñe’ey?
20 Lo! to bless, have I received [command], —And I will bless, nor will I take it back.
Ingo nanoloran-dily hitata iraho; aa kanao ie ro nitata tsy meteko afotetse.
21 He hath not discovered trouble in Jacob, Neither hath he seen wretchedness in Israel, —Yahweh, his God, is with him, And, the acclaim of a king, in his midst:
Tsy nahaoniña’e hakeo t’Iakòbe tsy nahaisaha’e tahiñe t’Israele. Ama’e t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’e, naho ama’e ao ty koim-panjaka.
22 GOD having brought them forth out of Egypt, The very horns of the buffalo, are his:
I Andrianañahare nampienga aze amy Mitsraimey, ro tsifan-drimo abo ama’e.
23 Surely, there is no enchantment against Jacob, Nor divination against Israel, —Now, shall it be said—Of Jacob and of Israel, What hath GOD wrought!
Toe tsy atreatrem-boreke amy Iakòbe vaho tsy trean-tsikily amy’Israele, Ie henaneo ro tsaraeñe ty am’ Iakòbe naho am’Israele, ty hoe: Heheke ty nanoen’Añahare.
24 Lo, a people, like a lioness, shall rise, And like a strong lion, shall rouse himself up; He will not lie down till he eat the torn, And the blood of the slain, he drink.
Hitroatse hoe liona vave’e ondatio, hiongake hoe liona lahi’e: Tsy handre am-para’ t’ie mihinan-tsindroke vaho minoñe ty lio’ i vinonoy.
25 Then said Balak unto Balaam, Thou shalt neither revile, him, —nor bless him.
Le hoe t’i Balak’ amy Balame, Ko ozoñe‘o ka, naho ko itata’o.
26 And Balaam responded, and said unto Balak, —Spake I not unto thee, saying, All that Yahweh shall speak, that, must I do?
Fe hoe ty navale’ i Balame i Balake, Tsy vinolako hao te ze tsarae’ Iehovà, le tsy mete tsy izay ty hanoeko?
27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee! let me take thee unto another place, —peradventure, it may be right in the eyes of God, that thou revile me him. from thence.
Le hoe t’i Balak’ amy Balame, Antao, fa hendeseko mb’an-toetse raike ka irehe hera ho non’ Añahare ty hañozoñe iareo ho ahiko boake ey.
28 So Balak took Balaam, —unto the head of Peor, that looketh over the face of the Jeshimon.
Le nendese’ i Balake mb’ an-dengo’ i Peore, ahatalakesañe mb’ am-patrambey eñe, t’i Balame.
29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here, seven altars, —and prepare me here, seven bullocks and seven rams.
Le hoe t’i Balame amy Balake, Añoreño kitrely fito ty etoy vaho añajario añombelahy fito naho añondrilahy fito.
30 And Balak did as Balaam said, —and caused to ascend a bullock and a ram on each altar.
Le nanoe’ i Balake i sinaontsi’ i Balamey vaho songa nisoroña’e an-kitrely ty añombelahy naho ty añondrilahy.
