Numbers 22
1 Then did the sons of Israel break up, —and encamp in the waste plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho.
၁တဖန် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် ခရီးသွား ၍ မောဘ လွင်ပြင် ၊ ယော်ဒန် မြစ်နား ၊ ယေရိခေါ မြို့ တဘက် ၌ တဲ ဆောက်ကြ၏။
2 And Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done unto the Amorites;
၂အာမောရိ အမျိုးသားတို့၌ ပြု ကြသော အမှုအလုံးစုံ ကို၊ ဇိဖေါ် သား ဗာလက် မင်းသိမြင် လျှင် ၊
3 and Moab shrank with great fear from the presence of the people because, many, they were, —and Moab was alarmed at the presence of the sons of Israel.
၃ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် များပြား သောကြောင့် ၊ မောဘ ပြည်သားတို့သည် အလွန် ကြောက်ရွံ့ ကြ၍ ၊
4 So Moab said unto the elders of Midian—Now, shall the gathered host lick up all that are round about us, as the ox doth lick up the verdure of the field. But, Balak son of Zippor, was king unto Moab at that time.
၄နွား သည် မြက်ပင် ကို လှမ်း ၍ စားသကဲ့သို့ ဤအလုံးအရင်း သည် ငါ တို့ပတ်လည် ၌ ရှိသမျှ ကို လှမ်း ၍ စားလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပူပန်သောစိတ်ရှိလျက်၊ မိဒျန် ပြည်သားအသက်ကြီး သူတို့အား ဆို ကြ၏။ ထို အခါ ဇိဖေါ် သား ဗာလက် သည်၊ မောဘ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဖြစ်သည်နှင့်၊
5 So he sent messengers unto Balaam son of Beor, to Pethor which was by the river of the land of the sons of his people to call him, —saying Lo! a people, hath come forth out of Egypt Lo! he hath covered the eye of the land, Yea he, is tarrying over against me.
၅အမ္မုန်ပြည်၌ စီးသောမြစ် ၏အနား မှာရှိသော ပေသော် မြို့နေ ဗောရ သား ဗာလမ် ကို ခေါ်ပင့် ခြင်းငှါ ၊ သံတမန် တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ၍၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ရောက်လာ သော လူ တမျိုးသည် မြေ မျက်နှာ ကို ဖုံးလွှမ်း လျက် ငါ့ အနား ၌ နေရာ ချကြပြီ။
6 Now, therefore, do come, I pray thee curse me this people. For stronger, he is than I, If peradventure I prevail, we shall smite him, That I may drive him out of the land, —For I know that, he whom thou dost bless, is to be blessed, And, he whom thou dost curse, is to be cursed.
၆သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ကြွလာ ပါ။ ဤ လူမျိုး သည် ငါ့ ထက် အားကြီး သောကြောင့် သူတို့ကို ငါ့ အဘို့ ကျိန်ဆဲ ပါ။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သူ တို့ကို ငါတိုက် ၍ ငါ့ပြည် မှ နှင်ထုတ် နိုင် ကောင်း နှင်ထုတ်နိုင်လိမ့်မည်။ ကိုယ်တော်ကောင်းကြီး ပေးသောသူ သည် ကောင်းကြီး မင်္ဂလာခံရသည်ကို၎င်း ၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျိန်ဆဲ သောသူ သည် ကျိန်ဆဲ အပ်သောသူဖြစ်သည်ကို၎င်းငါသိ သည်ဟု မှာလိုက်လေ၏။
7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian went their way, with the rewards of divination in their hand, —so they came in unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.
၇မောဘ ပြည်သားအသက်ကြီး သူတို့နှင့် မိဒျန် ပြည်သားအသက်ကြီး သူတို့သည် ပြုစား ခြင်းလက်ဆောင်ပါလျက်သွား ၍ ၊ ဗာလမ် ထံသို့ ရောက် သောအခါ ၊ ဗာလက် မင်းစကား ကို ကြားလျှောက် လေ၏။
8 And he said unto them—Tarry ye here for the night, and I will bring you back word, as Yahweh shall speak unto me. So the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.
၈ဗာလမ်က၊ ယနေ့ည မှာ ဤ အရပ်၌နေ ကြပါဦး။ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ငါပြန် ပြောမည်ဟု ဆို လျှင် ၊ မောဘ အရာရှိ တို့သည် ဗာလမ် ထံမှာ နေ ကြ၏။
9 And God came in unto Balaam, —and said, Who are these men with thee?
၉ဘုရားသခင် သည် ဗာလမ် ရှိရာသို့ လာ ၍ ၊ သင် ၌ ရှိသောဤ လူ တို့သည် အဘယ်သူ နည်းဟုမေး တော်မူလျှင်၊
10 Then said Balaam unto God, —Balak, son of Zippor king of Moab, hath sent unto me:
၁၀ဗာလမ် က၊ မောဘ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဇိဖေါ် သား ဗာလက် သည် အကျွန်ုပ် ဆီသို့ လူကို စေလွှတ် ၍၊
11 Lo! the people that hath come forth out of Egypt—he covereth the eye of the land. Now, do come, do revile me him, Peradventure I shall prevail in making war with him, And shall drive him out.
၁၁အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ရောက်လာ သောလူ အများ သည်၊ မြေ မျက်နှာ ကို ဖုံးလွှမ်း လျက်နေကြပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ကြွလာ ပါ။ ဤလူမျိုးကို ငါ့ အဘို့ ကျိန်ဆဲ ပါ။ သို့ပြုလျှင်၊ သူ တို့ကို ငါတိုက် ၍ နှင်ထုတ် နိုင် ကောင်းနှင်ထုတ်နိုင်လိမ့်မည် ဟု ခေါ်ပင့်ကြောင်းကို၊ ဘုရားသခင် အား လျှောက်ဆို ၏။
12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them, —Thou shalt not curse the people, For blessed, he is.
၁၂ဘုရားသခင် ကလည်း၊ သင်သည် ဤလူ တို့နှင့်အတူ မ လိုက် မသွားရ။ ထိုလူမျိုး ကို မ ကျိန်ဆဲ ရ။ ကောင်းကြီး မင်္ဂလာကို ခံရသောလူမျိုးဖြစ်သည်ဟု ဗာလမ် အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your own land, —For Yahweh hath refused to let me go with you.
၁၃နံနက် ရောက်မှ၊ ဗာလမ် သည် ထ ၍ သင်တို့သည် ကိုယ် ပြည် သို့ ပြန်သွား ကြပါလော့။ သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ ငါလိုက်ရသောအခွင့် ကို ထာဝရဘုရား ပေးတော်မ မူဟု ဗာလက် မင်းစေလွှတ်သော အရာရှိ တို့အား ပြန်ပြော လေ၏။
14 So the princes of Moab arose, and came in unto Balak, —and said, Balaam refused to come with us.
၁၄ထိုအခါ မောဘ ပြည်အရာရှိ တို့သည် ဗာလက် မင်းထံသို့ ပြန် သွား၍ ၊ ဗာလမ် သည် ကျွန်တော် တို့နှင့်အတူ မ လိုက် လိုပါဟု လျှောက် ကြ၏။
15 Then added Balak again, —to send princes, more and weightier than these.
၁၅တဖန် ဗာလက် မင်းသည်၊ အရင်ထက် အရေအတွက်အားဖြင့်များ ၍ အရာအားဖြင့် ဘုန်းကြီး သော မှူးမတ် တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ပြန် သည်အတိုင်း၊
16 And they came in unto Balaam, —and said unto him—Thus, said Balak son of Zippor, Do not be withheld, I pray thee from coming unto me:
၁၆သူတို့သည် ဗာလမ် ထံသို့ ရောက်လာ ၍ ဇိဖေါ် သား ဗာလက် မင်းက၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ငါ့ ထံသို့ မလာ မည် အကြောင်းအဘယ်အဆီးအတား မျှ မရှိပါစေနှင့်။
17 For I will honour, thee, exceedingly, and all that thou shalt say unto me, will I do. Do come therefore I pray thee oh revile me this people.
၁၇ငါသည် ကိုယ်တော် ကို အလွန် ချီးမြှောက် မည်။ ကိုယ်တော်တောင်း သမျှ ကို ပေး မည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကြွလာ ပါ။ ဤ လူမျိုး ကို ငါ့ အဘို့ ကျိန်ဆဲ ပါဟု မိန့် တော်မူကြောင်းကို ပြန်ပြော ကြ၏။
18 And Balaam responded and said unto the servants of Balak, Though Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the bidding of Yahweh my God, to do less or more.
၁၈ဗာလမ် ကလည်း၊ ဗာလက် မင်းသည် ရွှေ ငွေ နှင့် ပြည့် သော မိမိ နန်း တော်ကိုပင် ပေး သော်လည်း ၊ ငါကိုးကွယ်သော ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ စကား တော်ကို လွန်ကျူး ၍ အမှုအကြီး အငယ် တစုံတခုကိုမျှ ငါမ ပြု နိုင်။
19 Now, therefore abide here, I pray you even ye, —for the night, —that I may get to know what further Yahweh may be speaking with me.
၁၉သို့ရာတွင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အဘယ်သို့ ထပ်၍ မိန့် တော်မူမည်ကို ငါသိ မည်အကြောင်း၊ ယနေ့ည မှာ ဤ အရပ်၌ နေ ကြပါဦးဟု ဗာလက် မင်းကျွန် တို့အား ပြန်ပြော ၏။
20 And God came in unto Balaam, by night, and said unto him—If, to call thee, the men have come in, arise go with them, —But only, the thing that I shall speak unto thee, that, shalt thou do.
၂၀ည အချိန်၌ ဘုရားသခင် သည် ဗာလမ် ရှိရာသို့ လာ ၍၊ ထိုလူ တို့သည် သင့် ကိုခေါ် ခြင်းငှါ လာ လျှင် ၊ သူ တို့ နှင့်အတူ ထ ၍ လိုက် လော့။ သို့ရာတွင် ငါမှာထား သမျှ အတိုင်းသာ ပြု ရမည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
21 So Balaam arose in the morning, and saddled his ass, —and went with the princes of Moab.
၂၁နံနက် ရောက်မှ ဗာလမ် ထ ၍ မြည်း ကို ကုန်းနှီး တင်ပြီးလျှင် ၊ မောဘ အရာရှိ တို့နှင့်အတူ လိုက် လေ၏။
22 Then kindled the anger of God, because he was going, and the messenger of Yahweh stationed himself in the way, to withstand him, —as he was riding upon his ass, his two young men being with him.
၂၂ထိုသို့ လိုက်သောကြောင့်၊ ဘုရားသခင် အမျက် တော်ထွက် ၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် သူ့ ကို ဆီးတား ခြင်းငှါလမ်း ၌ ရပ် နေ၏။ ထိုအခါ ဗာလမ် သည် မြည်း ကို စီး ၍ ငယ်သား နှစ် ယောက်နှင့် သွား စဉ်တွင်၊
23 And the ass saw the messenger of Yahweh stationed in the road with his drawn sword in his hand, so the ass turned aside out of the road and went into the field, —and Balaam smote the ass, to make her turn back into the road.
၂၃ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် ထား ကို မိုးလျက်၊ လမ်း ၌ ရပ် နေသည်ကို မြည်း သည် မြင် လျှင် ၊ လမ်းလွှဲ ၍ လယ် သို့ ဝင် လေ၏။ ဗာလမ် လည်း မြည်း ကို လမ်း သို့ ပြန် စေခြင်းငှါ ရိုက် လေ၏။
24 But the messenger of Yahweh took his stand, in a hollow pass of the vineyards, —with a fence on this side, and a fence on that side.
၂၄ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည်၊ စပျစ် ဥယျာဉ်စောင်ရန်း နှစ်ဘက်စပ်ကြား လမ်း ၌ တဖန် ရပ် နေ၏။
25 And when the ass saw the messenger of Yahweh, she squeezed herself against the wall, and squeezed the foot of Balaam against the wall, —and again he smote her.
၂၅ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် ကို မြည်း သည် မြင် ပြန်သောအခါ ၊ စောင်ရန်း တဘက် ၌ တိုး ၍ ဗာလမ် ၏ခြေ ကို ဖိ လေ၏။ ဗာလမ်လည်း တဖန် ရိုက် ပြန်လေ၏။
26 And the messenger of Yahweh went on further, and took his stand in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn to the right hand or to the left.
၂၆ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် လွန် သွား၍ လမ်းတဘက်ဘက်မျှ မ လွှဲ နိုင်အောင်ကျဉ်းမြောင်း သော အရပ် ၌ ရပ် နေ၏။
27 And, when the ass saw the messenger of Yahweh, she sank down under Balaam, —then was Balaam’s anger kindled, and he smote the ass with the staff.
၂၇မြည်း သည်လည်း ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ကောင်းကင်တမန် ကို မြင် ပြန်သောအခါ ၊ ဗာလမ် အောက် ၌ ဝပ် လျက် နေ၏။ ဗာလမ် သည် အမျက် ထွက် ၍ တောင်ဝေး နှင့် မြည်း ကိုရိုက် လေ၏။
28 And Yahweh opened the mouth of the ass, —and she said unto Balaam—What have I done to thee, that thou hast smitten me, these three times?
၂၈ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် မြည်း ၏နှုတ် ကို ဖွင့် တော်မူ၍ ၊ မြည်းက သင်သည် ငါ့ ကို သုံး ကြိမ် တိုင်အောင် ရိုက် ရမည်အကြောင်း ၊ ငါသည် သင် ၌ အဘယ်သို့ ပြု ဘိသနည်းဟု ဗာလမ် အား မေး လျှင်၊
29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Surely thou hast been making sport of me, —Would there had been a sword in my hand, for, now, would I have slain thee.
၂၉ဗာလမ် က၊ သင်သည် ငါ့ ကို ကျီစား ပါသည် တကား။ ငါ၌ ထားရှိပါစေသော။ ထား ရှိ လျှင် သင့် ကို ယခု သတ် မည်ဟု မြည်း အား ဆို ၏။
30 Then said the ass unto Balaam—Am not I thine own ass on which thou hast ridden all thy life, until this day? Have I, been wont, to do unto thee, thus? And he said, Nay!
၃၀မြည်း ကလည်း ၊ ငါ သည် ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင် သင် ၏အစီး ကို အစဉ် ခံရသောသင် ၏ မြည်း ဖြစ်သည်မ ဟုတ် လော။ သင် ၌ တခါမျှ ဤသို့ ငါပြု ဘူး သလော ဟုဗာလမ် အား မေး လျှင် ၊ မ ပြုဘူးဟု ပြန်ပြော ၏။
31 Then did Yahweh unveil the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the messenger of Yahweh stationed in the road, with his sword drawn in his hand, —so he bent his head and bowed down before him.
၃၁ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဗာလမ် မျက်စိ ကို ဖွင့် တော်မူ၍ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် ထား ကိုမိုးလျက်၊ လမ်း ၌ ရပ် နေသည်ကို ဗာလမ်သည် မြင် သဖြင့် ဦးချ ၍ ပြပ်ဝပ် လေ၏။
32 And the messenger of Yahweh said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass, these three times? Lo! I, myself, am come forth to withstand thee, because headlong was thy way before me.
၃၂ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ကောင်းကင် တမန်ကလည်း ၊ သင် ၏မြည်း ကို သုံး ကြိမ် တိုင်အောင်အဘယ်ကြောင့် ရိုက် သနည်း။ သင်သွားသောလမ်း သည် ငါနှင့် ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက် ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ၊ သင့်ကို ဆီးတား ခြင်းငှါ ငါထွက်လာ ပြီ။
33 And the ass hath seen me, and hath turned aside at my presence these three times: Unless she had turned aside from my presence, yea now even thee, had I slain, but, her, had I suffered to live.
၃၃မြည်း သည် ငါ့ ကို မြင် ၍ သုံး ကြိမ် ရှောင် ခဲ့ပြီ။ ထိုသို့ မရှောင် လျှင်၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် သင့် ကိုငါသတ် ၍ မြည်း ကို အသက် ချမ်းသာပေးလေပြီဟု ဆို ၏။
34 Then said Balaam unto the messenger of Yahweh—I have sinned, for I knew not, that, thou, wast stationed to meet me in the road, —Now, therefore, if it be displeasing in thine eyes, I must get me back again.
၃၄ဗာလမ် ကလည်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ပြစ်မှား ပါပြီ။ ကိုယ်တော် သည် လမ်း ၌ ကန့်လန့် နေ တော်မူသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ် မ သိ ပါ။ ယခု မှာ အလို တော်မရှိလျှင် အကျွန်ုပ်ပြန် သွားပါမည် ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကောင်းကင် တမန်အား ဆို လျှင်၊
35 And the messenger of Yahweh said unto Balaam—Go with the men: Only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that, shalt thou speak. So Balaam went his way with the princes of Balak.
၃၅ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ကောင်းကင် တမန်က၊ သူ တို့နှင့်အတူ လိုက် လော့။ သို့ရာတွင် ငါမှာထား သော စကား ကိုသာ ဟောပြော ရမည်ဟု ဗာလမ် အား မိန့် တော်မူ သည်အတိုင်း ၊ သူသည် ဗာလက် မင်း၏ ကျွန် တို့နှင့်အတူ လိုက် သွားလေ၏။
36 And Balak heard that Balaam, was coming, —so he went forth to meet him unto a city of Moab which was upon the boundary of Arnon, which was in the utmost part of the boundary.
၃၆ဗာလမ် ရောက် သောသိတင်းကို ဗာလက် မင်း ကြား လျှင် ၊ ခရီးဦးကြိုပြု ခြင်းငှါ ၊ မောဘ ပြည် စွန်း အာနုန် ချောင်းနား မှာရှိသော မြို့တမြို့သို့ ထွက်သွား ၏။
37 And Balak said unto Balaam: Did I not, send, unto thee, to call thee? Wherefore didst thou not come unto me? Am I not in very deed, able to honour thee?
၃၇ဗာလက် မင်းကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကို ခေါ်ပင့် စေခြင်းငှါ ငါသည် အထပ်ထပ်စေလွှတ် သည်မ ဟုတ် လော ။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် နှေး ပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ်တော် ကို ငါချီးမြှောက် နိုင် သည်မ ဟုတ်လော ဟု ဗာလမ် အား ဆို လျှင် ၊
38 And Balaam said unto Balak—Lo! I am come unto thee, Now, can, I, possibly, promise anything? The word that God shall put in my mouth, that, must I speak.
၃၈ဗာလမ် က၊ မင်းကြီး ထံသို့ ငါလာ ပါပြီ။ သို့ရာတွင်ငါသည် စကားတခွန်း ကိုမျှ ပြော ပိုင် သလော။ ငါ့ နှုတ် ၌ ဘုရားသခင် ထား တော်မူသော စကား ကိုသာ ငါပြော ပါ မည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော ပြီးမှ၊
39 So Balaam went with Balak, —and they entered Kiriath-huzoth.
၃၉ဗာလက် မင်းနှင့်အတူ လိုက်၍ ကိရယဿုဇုတ် မြို့သို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။
40 And Balak sacrificed herd and flock, —and sent unto Balaam, and unto the princes that were with him.
၄၀ဗာလက် မင်းသည်လည်း ၊ သိုး နွား တို့ကို ပူဇော် ၍ ဗာလမ် နှင့် အရာရှိ တို့အား ပေး လိုက်လေ၏။
41 And it came to pass in the morning, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up the high places of Baal, —and he saw from thence the utmost part of the people.
၄၁နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ ဗာလက် မင်းသည် ဗာလမ် ကို ခေါ်၍ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့ကို အကုန်အစင် ပြခြင်းငှါဗာလဘုရားနှင့်ဆိုင်သော ကုန်းရိုး ပေါ်သို့ပို့ဆောင် လေ၏။
