Numbers 12

1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, on account of the Cushite woman whom he had taken, —for, a Cushite woman, had he taken.

Y hablaron María y Aarón contra Moisés a causa de la mujer etíope que había tomado; porque él había tomado mujer etíope.

2 And they said: Is it only and solely with Moses, that Yahweh hath spoken? With us also, hath he not spoken? And Yahweh heard it.

Y dijeron: ¿Solamente por Moisés ha hablado el SEÑOR? ¿No ha hablado también por nosotros? Y lo oyó el SEÑOR.

3 Now, the man Moses, was patient, exceedingly, —above all the sons of earth, who were on the face of the ground.

Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra.

4 Then said Yahweh suddenly, unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tent of meeting. And they three went out.

Y luego dijo el SEÑOR a Moisés, a Aarón, y a María: Salid vosotros tres al tabernáculo del testimonio. Y salieron ellos tres.

5 Then Yahweh came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the entrance of the tent, —and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both went forth.

Entonces el SEÑOR descendió en la columna de la nube, y se puso a la puerta del tabernáculo, y llamó a Aarón y a María; y salieron ambos.

6 Then said he Hear, I beseech you my words. When ye have your prophet, As Yahweh in a vision, will I make myself known, unto him; In a dream, will I speak with him.

Y él les dijo: Oíd ahora mis palabras: si tuviereis profeta del SEÑOR, le apareceré en visión, en sueños hablaré con él.

7 Not so, my servant Moses, —In all my house, trusty, is he:

No así a mi siervo Moisés, que es fiel en toda mi casa.

8 Mouth to mouth, do I speak with him And plainly—not in dark sayings, And the form of Yahweh, doth he discern, —Wherefore then, were ye not afraid to speak against my servant—against Moses?

Boca a boca hablaré con él, y de vista; el no verá al SEÑOR por figuras o semejanza; ¿por qué, pues, no tuvisteis temor de hablar contra mi siervo Moisés?

9 And the anger of Yahweh kindled upon them and he departed.

Entonces el furor del SEÑOR se encendió en ellos; y se fue.

10 And, when, the cloud, removed from off the tent, —lo! Miriam, leprous, like snow! And Aaron turned unto Miriam and lo! …leprous!

Y la nube se apartó del tabernáculo; y he aquí que María era leprosa como la nieve; y miró Aarón a María, y he aquí que estaba leprosa.

11 Then said Aaron unto Moses, —Oh my lord, do not I beseech thee lay upon us sin, although we have made ourselves foolish, and although we have sinned.

Y dijo Aarón a Moisés: Te ruego, señor mío, no pongas ahora sobre nosotros pecado; porque locamente lo hemos hecho, y hemos pecado.

12 Let her not, I beseech thee, remain like the still-born, —which when it is born of its mother, the half of its flesh is consumed.

No sea ella ahora como el que sale muerto del vientre de su madre, consumida la mitad de su carne.

13 Then Moses made outcry unto Yahweh, saying, —O GOD, I beseech thee grant healing. I beseech thee unto her.

Entonces Moisés clamó al SEÑOR, diciendo: Te ruego, oh Dios, que la sanes ahora.

14 And Yahweh said unto Moses: If, her own father, had, but spat, in her face, would she not, have acknowledged the shame for seven days? Let her shut herself up for seven days, outside the camp, and afterwards, let her be received back.

Respondió el SEÑOR a Moisés: Pues si su padre hubiera escupido en su cara, ¿no se avergonzaría por siete días? Sea echada fuera del campamento por siete días, y después se reunirá.

15 So Miriam shut herself up, outside the camp, for seven days, —and, the people, set not forward, until Miriam had been received back.

Así María fue echada del campamento siete días; y el pueblo no pasó adelante hasta que se le reunió María.

16 Then afterwards, did the people set forward from Hazeroth, and encamped in the desert of Paran.

Y después movió el pueblo de Hazerot, y asentaron el campamento en el desierto de Parán.
