Numbers 10
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
Yavé habló a Moisés:
2 Make thee two trumpets of silver, of beaten work, shalt thou make them, —and they shall be unto thee for calling the assembly, and for setting forward the camps.
Hazte dos trompetas de plata labradas a martillo. Te servirán para convocar a la asamblea y dar señal de mover los campamentos.
3 As soon as they blow therewith, so soon shall all the assembly assemble themselves unto thee, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting.
Cuando toquen las dos, toda la asamblea se reunirá delante de ti en la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.
4 And, if, only once, they blow, then shall the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, gather themselves unto thee.
Si tocan una sola, entonces se congregarán ante ti los jefes de millares de Israel.
5 But when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that are encamped eastwards;
Cuando toquen alarma, saldrán los campamentos que están al oriente,
6 and when ye blow a second alarm, then shall set forward the camps that are encamped southwards, —an alarm, shall they blow for setting them forward,
y cuando toquen alarma por segunda vez, entonces se moverán los campamentos que están al sur. Se tocará alarma para sus salidas,
7 But in calling together the convocation, ye shall blow but shall not sound an alarm.
pero para reunir la asamblea, tocarán sin alarma.
8 And, the sons of Aaron the priests, shall blow with the trumpets, —and it shall be unto you for a statute age-abiding, unto your generations.
Los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón tocarán las trompetas, las cuales serán para ustedes estatuto perpetuo en sus generaciones.
9 And when ye go into war in your land against the assailant that assaileth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets, —and bring yourselves to mind before Yahweh your God, and be saved, from your enemies,
Cuando entren en guerra en su país contra el enemigo que los ataca, tocarán las trompetas con alarma. Se les recordará ante Yavé su ʼElohim, y serán salvos de sus enemigos.
10 And in your day of rejoicing and in your appointed seasons and in the beginnings of your months, then shall ye blow with the trumpets, over your ascending-sacrifices, and over your peace-offerings, —so shall they be unto you for a memorial before your God. I—Yahweh, am your God.
También en sus días de alegría, en sus fiestas solemnes señaladas y en los principios de sus meses, tocarán las trompetas durante sus holocaustos y sacrificios de paz. Les serán como recordatorio delante de su ʼElohim. ¡Yo, Yavé su ʼElohim!
11 And so it came to pass in the second year, in the second month on the twentieth of the month, that the cloud lifted itself up, from off the habitation of the testimony;
El año segundo, el 20 del segundo mes, aconteció que la nube se elevó de sobre el Tabernáculo del Testimonio,
12 and the sons of Israel set forward by their removals from the desert of Sinai, and then the cloud abode in the desert of Paran.
y los hijos de Israel salieron en sus jornadas desde el desierto de Sinaí, hasta que la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán.
13 Thus then did they set forward for the first time, —at the bidding of Yahweh, by the hand of Moses.
Así salieron la primera vez, conforme a la Palabra de Yavé dada por medio de Moisés.
14 So the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah set forward first, by their hosts, and over his own host, was Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
El estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Judá salió primero, con sus ejércitos, y al frente de su hueste estaba Naasón, hijo de Aminadab.
15 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Nethanel, son of Zuar;
Al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar estaba Natanael, hijo de Suar,
16 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Eliab, son of Helon.
y al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón estaba Eliab, hijo de Helón.
17 Then was taken down the habitation, —and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward bearing the habitation.
Entonces el Tabernáculo fue desarmado, y los hijos de Gersón y los hijos de Merari se movieron y cargaron el Tabernáculo.
18 Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, by their hosts, —and over his own host, Elizur, son of Shedeur;
Luego salió el estandarte del campamento de Rubén, con sus ejércitos, y al frente de su hueste estaba Elisur, hijo de Sedeur.
19 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai;
Al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón estaba Selumiel, hijo de Zurisadai,
20 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph, son of Deuel.
y al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad estaba Eliasaf, hijo de Dehuel.
21 Then set forward the Kohathites, bearing the sanctuary, —and so the habitation was reared by the time they came in.
Entonces salieron los coatitas llevando los objetos sagrados, y antes de su llegada, el Tabernáculo ya estaba armado.
22 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim by their hosts, —and over his own host, was Elishama son of Ammihud;
Después salió el estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Efraín con sus ejércitos, y al frente de su hueste estaba Elisama, hijo de Amiud.
23 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur;
Al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés estaba Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur,
24 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan, son of Gideoni.
y al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín estaba Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni.
25 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, bringing up the rear of all the camps, by their hosts, —and over his own host, Ahiezur, son of Ammishaddai;
Luego el estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Dan con sus ejércitos, y al frente de su hueste estaba Ahiezer, hijo de Amisadai.
26 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Pagiel, son of Ochran;
Al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser estaba Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán,
27 and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Ahira, son of Enan.
y al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí estaba Ahira, hijo de Enán.
28 These, were the settings-forward of the sons of Israel by their hosts, —thus did they set forward.
Éste era el orden de marcha de los hijos de Israel con sus ejércitos cuando salían.
29 Then said Moses to Hobab, son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses: Setting forward, are we unto the place of which Yahweh hath said, The same, will I give unto you, —Oh come with us and we will do thee good, for, Yahweh, hath spoken good, concerning Israel.
Entonces Moisés dijo a Hobab, hijo de Rehuel el madianita, suegro de Moisés: Nosotros salimos hacia el lugar del cual Yavé dijo que nos dará. Ven con nosotros y te trataremos bien, porque Yavé prometió el bien a Israel.
30 And he said unto him, I will not go, —but unto my own land, and unto my own kindred, will I go.
Pero [él] le dijo: No iré, sino más bien iré a mi tierra y a mi parentela.
31 Then said he: I beseech thee, do not forsake us, —for, on this account, hast thou come to know of our encamping in the desert, so shalt thou be unto us as eyes;
Sin embargo [Moisés] le dijo: Te ruego que no nos abandones, porque tú conoces los lugares donde acamparemos en el desierto, y nos servirás de ojos.
32 and it shall be if thou wilt go with us, —yea it shall be that with the very good wherewith Yahweh shall do us good, will we do good unto thee.
Si vas con nosotros, el bien que Yavé nos haga, nosotros te lo haremos a ti.
33 So then they went forward, from the mountain of Yahweh, a journey of three days, —and the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, was going before them a journey of three days, to search out for them a resting-place,
Así salieron de la Montaña de Yavé en viaje de tres días, y durante los tres días de camino, el Arca del Pacto de Yavé iba delante de ellos para buscarles lugar de descanso.
34 And the cloud of Yahweh, was over them by day, —when they set forward out of the camp.
Desde cuando salieron del campamento, la nube de Yavé iba sobre ellos de día.
35 And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said: Arise, O Yahweh! and scattered be thy foes, Let them that hate thee flee before thee;
Sucedía que al partir el Arca, Moisés exclamaba: ¡Levántate, oh Yavé! ¡Sean dispersados tus enemigos, Y huyan de ti los que te aborrecen!
36 But when it rested, he said, —Return, O Yahweh! unto the myriads of the thousands of Israel.
Cuando ella reposaba, decía: ¡Vuelve, oh Yavé, A las miríadas de millares de Israel!
