< Nehemiah 7 >
1 And it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, —and the doorkeepers and the singers and the Levites had been appointed,
Na rĩrĩ, rũthingo rwarĩka gwakwo rĩngĩ, na niĩ ngĩkorwo njĩkĩrĩte mĩrango ihingo-inĩ-rĩ, nĩrĩo arangĩri a ihingo, na aini, na Alawii maathuurirwo.
2 that I gave Hanani my brother, and Hananiah captain of the castle, charge over Jerusalem, for, he, was a truly faithful man, and revered God above many.

3 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until, hot, be the sun, and, while they are standing by, let them close the doors, and make them fast, —setting watches, of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one over against his own house.
Ngĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ihingo cia Jerusalemu itikahingũragwo, o nginya rĩrĩa riũa rĩrĩkoragwo rĩarĩte. Ningĩ o na rĩrĩa arangĩri a ihingo marĩ wĩra-inĩ, nĩmaikarage mahingĩte mĩrango ĩyo, na makamĩĩkĩra mĩgĩĩko. Ningĩ mũthuure aikari a Jerusalemu matuĩke arangĩri, amwe marangagĩre harĩa matuĩrĩirwo kũrangĩra, na arĩa angĩ marangagĩre hakuhĩ na nyũmba ciao.”
4 Now, the city, was broad on both hands, and large, but, the people, were few in the midst thereof, —and the houses had not been built.
