Nehemiah 3

1 Then arose Eliashib the high priest and his brethren the priests, and built the sheep-gate, they, hallowed it, and set up the doors thereof, —even unto the tower of Hammeah, hallowed they it, unto the tower of Hananel;

മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ എല്യാശീബ്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടാളികളായ പുരോഹിതരോടൊപ്പം വേല ആരംഭിച്ച് ആട്ടിൻകവാടം പണിതു. അവർ അതു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച് വാതിലുകൾ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു. ശതഗോപുരം വരെയും ഹനനയേൽ ഗോപുരംവരെയും അവർ അതു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

2 and, at his hand, built, the men of Jericho, —and at his [other] hand built Zaccur, son of Imri.

അതിനോടു ചേർന്നത് യെരീഹോ പുരുഷന്മാർ പണിതു, അതിനപ്പുറം ഇമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ സക്കൂർ പണിതു.

3 And, the fish-gate, did the sons of Hassenaah build, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;

ഹസ്സെനായയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ മീൻകവാടം പുതുക്കിപ്പണിതു. അവർ അതിന്റെ ഉത്തരം വെച്ച്, വാതിലുകളും കൊളുത്തുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

4 and, at their hand, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, and, at their hand, repaired, Meshullum son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel, —and, at their hand, repaired, Zadok son of Baana;

ഹക്കോസിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരിയാവിന്റെ മകൻ മെരേമോത്ത് അതിനടുത്ത ഭാഗത്തിന്റെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു. തുടർന്നുള്ളഭാഗം മെശേസബെയേലിന്റെ മകനായ ബേരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ മെശുല്ലാം നന്നാക്കി, ബാനയുടെ മകൻ സാദോക്ക് അതിനടുത്തഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി.

5 and, at their hand, repaired, the Tekoites, —but, their chiefs, put not their neck into the service of their lords.

അടുത്തഭാഗം നന്നാക്കിയത് തെക്കോവ്യക്കാരാണ്; എന്നാൽ മേലധികാരികളുടെ കീഴിൽ ഈ വേലയ്ക്കു ചുമൽകൊടുക്കാൻ അവരിലെ പ്രമുഖർ വിസമ്മതിച്ചു.

6 And, the old gate, did Joiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah, repair, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;

പാസേഹയുടെ മകൻ യോയാദയും ബെസോദ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ മെശുല്ലാമും പഴയ പട്ടണകവാടത്തിന്റെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു. അവർ അതിന്റെ ഉത്തരം വെക്കുകയും വാതിലുകളും കൊളുത്തുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും ഉറപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

7 and, at their hand, repaired, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, —who pertained to the throne of the pasha Beyond the River;

ഗിബെയോനിലെയും മിസ്പായിലെയും ആൾക്കാരായ ഗിബെയോന്യനായ മെലത്യാവും മെരോനോത്യനായ യൊദോനും, യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കക്കരെയുള്ള സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ദേശാധിപതിയുടെ അധികാരപരിധിയിലുള്ള ഭാഗംവരെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

8 at his hand, repaired, Uzziel son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, and, at his hand, repaired Hananiah son of the perfumers, —and they fortified Jerusalem, as far as the broad wall;

സ്വർണപ്പണിക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളായ ഹർഹര്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ഉസ്സീയേൽ അതിന്റെ അടുത്തഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി. അതിന്റെ അപ്പുറം സുഗന്ധദ്രവ്യനിർമാതാക്കളിൽ ഒരാളായ ഹനന്യാവ് അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു. വീതിയുള്ള മതിൽവരെ അവർ ജെറുശലേം പുനർനിർമാണം ചെയ്തു.

9 and, at their hand, repaired, Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem;

അവർക്കപ്പുറം ജെറുശലേം പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ ഒരു പകുതിയുടെ അധികാരിയായ ഹൂരിന്റെ മകൻ രെഫായാവ് അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

10 and, at their hand, repaired, Jedaiah son of Harumaph, even over against his own house, —and, at his hand, repaired, Hattush, son of Hashabneiah;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം ഹരൂമഫിന്റെ മകൻ യെദായാവ് തന്റെ വീടിനുനേരേയുള്ള ഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി; അതിനടുത്ത് ഹശ്ബെനെയാവിന്റെ മകൻ ഹത്തൂശ് അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

11 a second length, did Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab, repair, —also the tower of the ovens;

മറ്റൊരു ഭാഗവും ചൂളകളുടെ ഗോപുരവും ഹാരീമിന്റെ മകൻ മൽക്കീയാവും പഹത്ത്-മോവാബിന്റെ മകൻ ഹശ്ശൂബും നന്നാക്കി.

12 and, at his hand, repaired, Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem, —he and his daughters.

അതിന്റെ അപ്പുറം ജെറുശലേം പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ മറ്റേ പകുതിയുടെ അധികാരിയായ ഹല്ലോഹേശിന്റെ മകൻ ശല്ലൂമും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരും നന്നാക്കി.

13 The valley-gate, did Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah, repair, —they, built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also a thousand cubits in the wall, as far as the dung-gate.

ഹാനൂനും സനോഹ് നിവാസികളുംകൂടി താഴ്വാരംകവാടം നന്നാക്കി; അവർ അതു പണിത് കതകുകളും കൊളുത്തുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും വെച്ചു. കുപ്പക്കവാടംവരെയുള്ള മതിൽ ആയിരംമുഴം അവർ നന്നാക്കി.

14 And, the dung-gate, did Malchijah son of Rechab, ruler of the circuit of Beth-haccherem, repair, —he, built it, and set up the doors thereof, he locks thereof, and the bars thereof.

ബേത്-ഹഖേരെം പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ അധികാരിയായ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകൻ മൽക്കീയാവ് കുപ്പക്കവാടം നന്നാക്കി. അദ്ദേഹം അതു പണിത് കതകുകളും കൊളുത്തുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും പിടിപ്പിച്ചു.

15 And, the fountain-gate, did Shallun son of Col-hozeh ruler of the circuit of Mizpah, repair, he, built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the garden of the king, even as far as the stairs that go down from the city of David;

16 after him, repaired, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of the half-circuit of Beth-zur, —as far as over against the sepulchres of David, even unto the pool which had been made, and unto the house of heroes;

അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുമപ്പുറം ബേത്ത്-സൂർ പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ പകുതിയുടെ അധികാരിയായ അസ്ബൂക്കിന്റെ മകൻ നെഹെമ്യാവ്, ദാവീദിന്റെ കല്ലറകൾക്ക് എതിർവശംവരെയും കൃത്രിമക്കുളംവരെയും വീരന്മാരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലംവരെയും അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

17 after him, repaired, the Levites, Rehum son of Bani, —at his hand, repaired, Hashabiah, ruler of the half-circuit of Keilah, for his circuit;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം ബാനിയുടെ മകൻ രെഹൂമിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ലേവ്യർ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു. അവർക്കപ്പുറം, കെയീലാ പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ പകുതിയുടെ അധികാരിയായ ഹശബ്യാവ്, തന്റെ പ്രവിശ്യക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

18 after him, repaired, their brethren, Bavvai son of Henadad, —ruler of the [other] half-circuit of Keilah;

19 and there repaired at his hand, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, a second length, —over against the ascent of the armoury, at the corner;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം മിസ്പായുടെ അധികാരിയായ യേശുവയുടെ മകൻ ഏസെർ കോണിങ്കലെ ആയുധശാലയിലേക്കുള്ള കയറ്റത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ളതായ മറ്റൊരുഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി.

20 after him, zealously repaired Baruch son of Zabbai, a second length, —from the corner, unto the opening of the house of Eliashib, the high priest;

അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുമപ്പുറം സബ്ബായിയുടെ മകൻ ബാരൂക്ക്, ആ കോണുമുതൽ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ എല്യാശീബിന്റെ വീടിന്റെ പ്രവേശനകവാടംവരെ മറ്റൊരുഭാഗം ജാഗ്രതയോടെ നന്നാക്കി.

21 after him, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, a second length, —from the opening of the house of Eliashib, even unto the end of the house of Eliashib;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം, ഹക്കോസിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരിയാവിന്റെ മകൻ മെരേമോത്ത് എല്യാശീബിന്റെ വീടിന്റെ പ്രവേശനകവാടംമുതൽ അതിന്റെ അവസാനംവരെ നന്നാക്കി.

22 and, after him, repaired, the priests, the men of the Circuit;

അതിനടുത്തഭാഗം സമീപപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലുള്ള പുരോഹിതർ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

23 after him, repaired, Benjamin and Hasshub, over against their own house, —after him, repaired, Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah, beside his own house;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം, ബെന്യാമീനും ഹശ്ശൂബും തങ്ങളുടെ വീടിന് നേരേയുള്ളഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി. അതിനുമപ്പുറം, അനന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ മയസേയാവിന്റെ മകൻ അസര്യാവ് തന്റെ വീടിനരികെയുള്ള ഭാഗത്തിന്റെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

24 after him, repaired, Binnui son of Henadad, a second length, —from the house of Azariah, unto the corner, even unto the pinnacle:

അതിനുമപ്പുറം, അസര്യാവിന്റെ വീടുമുതൽ കോട്ടയുടെ വളവും മൂലവരെയുമുള്ള മറ്റൊരുഭാഗം ഹെനാദാദിന്റെ മകൻ ബിന്നൂവി നന്നാക്കി.

25 Palal, son of Uzai, from over against the corner, and the tower that projecteth from the upper house of the king, which belongeth to the court of custody, —after him, Pedaiah son of Parosh.

കോണിനും കാവൽക്കാരുടെ മുറ്റത്ത് രാജാവിന്റെ മാളികയിൽനിന്നും ഉയർന്നുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഗോപുരത്തിനും നേരേയുള്ളഭാഗം ഊസായിയുടെ മകൻ പാലാൽ നന്നാക്കി. അതിനുമപ്പുറം, പരോശിന്റെ മകൻ പെദായാവ് നന്നാക്കി;

26 Now, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —as far as over against the water-gate, on the east, and the tower that projecteth;

ഓഫേലിൽ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ദൈവാലയശുശ്രൂഷകർ കിഴക്കുവശത്തെ ജലകവാടത്തിനും ഉയർന്നുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഗോപുരത്തിനും എതിർവശംവരെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

27 after him, repaired, the Tekoites, a second length, —from over against the great tower that projecteth, even unto the wall of Ophel:

അതിനുശേഷം, ഉയർന്നുനിൽക്കുന്ന വലിയ ഗോപുരത്തിന് എതിർവശത്ത്, ഓഫേൽ മതിൽവരെയുള്ള മറ്റൊരുഭാഗം തെക്കോവ്യർ നന്നാക്കി.

28 from beside the horse-gate, repaired the priests, every one over against his own house;

കുതിരക്കവാടത്തിന്റെ മേൽഭാഗംമുതൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ വീടിനുനേരേയുള്ള ഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ അറ്റകുറ്റം തീർത്തു.

29 after him, repaired, Zadok son of Immer, over against his own house, —and, after him, repaired, Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the east-gate;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം ഇമ്മേരിന്റെ മകൻ സാദോക്ക് തന്റെ വീടിന് നേരേയുള്ളഭാഗം നന്നാക്കി. കിഴക്കേ കവാടത്തിന്റെ കാവൽക്കാരനായ ശെഖന്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ശെമയ്യാവ് അതിനപ്പുറം നന്നാക്കി.

30 after him, repaired, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun sixth son of Zalaph, a second length, —after him, repaired, Meshullam son of Berechiah, over against his chamber;

31 after him, repaired, Malchijah son of Zorphi, as far as the house of the Nethinim, and the traders, —over against the muster-gate, even unto the ascent of the pinnacle;

അതിനുമപ്പുറം പരിശോധനാകവാടത്തിന് എതിർവശം, ദൈവാലയശുശ്രൂഷകരുടെയും കച്ചവടക്കാരുടെയും വീടുവരെയും മൂലയിലുള്ള മാളികമുറിവരെയും സ്വർണപ്പണിക്കാരിൽ ഒരുവനായ മൽക്കീയാവ് നന്നാക്കി.

32 and, between the ascent of the pinnacle and the sheep-gate, repaired, the goldsmiths, and the traders.

മൂലയിലുള്ള മാളികമുറിക്കും ആട്ടിൻകവാടത്തിനും ഇടയിലുള്ള ഭാഗം സ്വർണപ്പണിക്കാരും കച്ചവടക്കാരും ചേർന്നു നന്നാക്കി.
