22 The Levites—in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded as ancestral chiefs, —also the priests, unto the reign of Darius the Persian.

24 And, the chiefs of the Levites, Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise—to give thanks, by the commandment of David the man of God, —ward joined to ward.
Levihnaw dawk kacuenaw: Hashabiah, Sherebiah hoi Kadmiel capa Jeshua tinaw teh, Cathut e tami Devit e kâpoelawk patetlah a hmaunawnghanaw hoi cungtalah pholen hane hoi, lunghawi lawk dei hanelah, kâletta lahoi a tawk awh.
25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were watchers, doorkeepers of the ward, in the storehouses of the gates.
Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Telmon hoi Akkub tinaw teh, takhang teng e hnopai ta e hoi takhang ka ring e lah ao awh.
26 These, were in the days of Joiakim, son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, —and in the days of Nehemiah the pasha, and Ezra the priest the scribe.
Ahnimanaw teh Jozadak capa, Jeshua capa, Joiakim se nah, ram ukkung Nehemiah hoi kâlawk kacangkhaikung vaihma Ezra se nah ao awh.
27 And, at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites, out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, —to keep the dedication and the rejoicing, both with thanksgiving and with music, cymbals, harps, and with lyres.
Jerusalem rapan hah hnawngnae a sak toteh, cecak, ratoung, tamawi, tum laihoi la sak laihoi, nawmnae, lunghawilawkdeinae hoi cungtalah hnawngnae sak nahanelah, Levihnaw hah a tawng awh teh, a onae hmuen tangkuem koehoi Jerusalem vah a kaw awh.
28 So the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, —both out of the circuit round about Jerusalem, and out of the villages of the Netophathites;
La kasakthainaw teh Jerusalem kho tengpam koe lah thoseh, Netophah kho hoi thoseh,
29 also out of Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba, and Azmaveth, —for, villages, had the singers builded for themselves, round about Jerusalem.
Gilgal im hoi thoseh, Geba hoi Azmaveth ram koehoi thoseh, a mahmawk a kamkhueng awh.
30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, —and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Vaihma hoi Levihnaw hai amahoima thoseh, taminaw thoseh, kho longkha thoseh, kho rapan thoseh a thoung sak awh.
31 Then brought I up the rulers of Judah upon the wall, —and I appointed two large choirs, even to go in procession to the right, upon the wall, towards the dung-gate;
Hattoteh Judah bawinaw hah rapan van ka ceikhai teh, pholen la ka sak hanelah, phu hni touh lah ka kapek. Phu touh teh aranglah hoi a kâhei teh vaipuen longkha koe kho rapan van a cei awh.
32 and after them went Hoshaiah, and half the rulers of Judah;
Ahnimouh hnuk vah Hoshaiah hoi Judah kacuenaw tangawn,
33 then Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam;
Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;
Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah hoi Jeremiah tinaw a kâbang awh.
35 and, of the sons of the priests, with trumpets, Zechariah—son of Jonathan—son of Shemaiah—son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph;
Hahoi mongka ka patuem e vaihmanaw, Jonathan capa, Zekhariah, Shemaiah capa, Mathanial capa, Michaiah capa, Zakkur capa, Asaph capa,
36 and his brethren—Shemaiah and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the instruments of music of David, the man of God, —with Ezra the scribe before them;
Hahoi a hmaunawngha, Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah hoi Hanani tinaw ni, Cathut e tami Devit e tumkhawngnaw heh a patuep awh teh, a kâbang awh. Kâlawk kacangkhaikung Ezra teh ahnimae hmalah a cei.
37 and, over they fountain gate and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, —above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.
Ahnimae kadangka lah kaawm e tuiphuek khu longkha koe a pha awh torei, khorapan luennae Devit kho khalai hoi a luen awh teh, Devit im lathueng kanîtholah, Tui longkha totouh a cei awh.
38 And, the second choir, was going over against them, I, following it, —with the half of the people upon the wall, above the tower of the ovens, even as far as the broad wall;
La kasakkung tangawn teh avoilah a kamlang awh teh, kai hoi tangawn teh, khorapan van, takhuen imrasang koehoi, khorapan akawnae koe totouh a kâbang awh.
39 and above the gate of Ephraim, and upon the old gate, and upon the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even as far as the sheep-gate, —and they came to a stand, at the gate of the guard.
Ephraim longkha, longkha karuem, tanga longkha, Hananel imrasang, Meah imrasang koehoi kamtawng teh, tu longkha totouh a kâbang awh hnukkhu, thongim longkha koe a kangdue awh.
40 So the two choirs, came to a stand, at the house of God, —and I, and half the deputies with me;
Hahoi la kasakkung phu hni touh teh, Cathut im vah a kangdue awh teh, a tangawn e bawinaw teh kai hoi cungtalah,
41 and, the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
Mongka ka patuem e vaihma Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Mikaiah, Elioenai, Zekhariah hoi Hananiah,
42 and Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer, —and the musicians sounded, aloud with Jezrahiah who was over them.
Hahoi, Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkhijah, Elam hoi Ezer tinaw hai cungtalah a kangdue awh. La kasakkungnaw teh kahrawikung Jezrahiah hoi cungtalah puenghoi la a sak awh.
43 And they sacrificed, on that day, great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for, God, had caused them to rejoice with great joy, moreover also, the women and children, rejoiced, —so that the rejoicing of Jerusalem was heard afar off.
Hot hnin vah vaihmanaw ni thuengnae moikapap a sak awh teh, a konawm awh. Puenghoi konawmnae Cathut ni a poe awh dawkvah, yunaw hoi canaw hai a konawm awh. Hatdawkvah, Jerusalem konawnnae hah ahlanae koehoi patenghai thai e lah ao.
44 And there were set in charge, on that day, certain men, over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law, for the priests, and for the Levites, —for, the joy of Judah, was over the priests and over the Levites, who were remaining.
Hatnavah Bawkim dawk thaw kakuennaw, vaihmanaw hoi Levihnaw teh karingkung lah ao awh dawkvah, Judahnaw teh a lungkuep awh teh, vaihmanaw hoi Levih ni a pang awh hane pasoumhno aluepaw, pung hra pung touh hah, kho tangkuem hoi a pâkhueng awh teh, hmoun nahane rakhannaw karingkung hanelah thaw a poe awh.
45 So they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the doorkeepers, —according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.
La kasakkungnaw hoi tho karingkungnaw hai Devit capa Solomon e kâpoelawk patetlah amamae Cathut thaw hoi thoungnae thaw hah a tawk awh.
46 For, in the days of David and Asaph, of old, there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving, unto God.
Devit hoi Asaph se navah, Cathut koe lunghawilawkdeinae kahrawikungnaw teh ao awh.
47 Now, all Israel—in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, used to give the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, the need of a day upon its day, —and they hallowed them unto the Levites, and, the Levites, hallowed them unto the sons of Aaron.
Zerubbabel hoi Nehemiah se nahai la kasakkungnaw hoi tho karingkungnaw hah, hnintangkuem a pang awh hane rawca hah a poe awh. Levihnaw hah ka thoung hnonaw a poe awh. Levihnaw ni hai Aron capanaw coe hanelah a kapek pouh awh.
