Nehemiah 11
1 And the rulers of the people dwelt in Jerusalem, —and, the rest of the people, cast lots, to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts in [other] cities.
੧ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਤਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਰਚੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਕਿ ਦਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਨੌ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਣ।
2 And the people bestowed a blessing on all the men, who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
੨ਪਰਜਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
3 Now, these, are the chiefs of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, but, in the cities of Judah, dwelt every man in his possession throughout their cities, Israel, the priests, and the Levites and the Nethinim, and the Sons of the Servants of Solomon.
੩ਇਹ ਉਸ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿੱਜ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ, ਜਾਜਕ, ਲੇਵੀ, ਨਥੀਨੀਮ (ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ) ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ
4 And, in Jerusalem, dwelt certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin, —Of the sons of Judah, Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;
੪ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਥਾਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਮਰਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਫਟਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮਹਲਲੇਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੋ ਪਰਸ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ,
5 and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.
੫ਅਤੇ ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਕਾਲਹੋਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਦਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਲੋਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
6 All the sons of Perez who were dwelling in Jerusalem, four hundred and sixty-eight, men of ability.
੬ਪਰਸ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਗਏ ਕੁੱਲ ਚਾਰ ਸੋ ਅਠਾਹਟ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਸਨ।
7 And, these, are the sons of Benjamin, —Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah;
੭ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੱਲੂ ਜੋ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਯੋਏਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਪਦਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਕੋਲਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਈਥੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਯਿਸ਼ਅਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
8 and, after him, Gabbai, Sallai, —nine hundred and twenty-eight.
੮ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਗੱਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਲਾਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨੌ ਸੌ ਅਠਾਈ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਨ।
9 And, Joel son of Zichri, was in charge over them, —and, Judah son of Hassenuah, was over the city, as second.
੯ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਏਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਸਨੂਆਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ।
10 Of the priests, Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin;
੧੦ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੀਨ,
11 Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮਰਾਯੋਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ,
12 and their brethren who were doing the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two, —and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah;
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭਵਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਅੱਠ ਸੌ ਬਾਈ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਯਰੋਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਪਲਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਮਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ
13 and his brethren, ancestral chiefs, two hundred and forty-two, —and Amashsai son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer;
੧੩ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ, ਦੋ ਸੌ ਬਤਾਲੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਅਮਸ਼ਸਈ ਜੋ ਅਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਹਜ਼ਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮਸ਼ੀਲੇਮੋਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੰਮੇਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ
14 and their brethren, strong men of ability, a hundred and twenty-eight, —and, he who was in charge of them, was Zabdiel, son of Haggedolim.
੧੪ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਅਠਾਈ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਭਰਾ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਗਦੋਲੀਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਬਦੀਏਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ।
15 And, of the Levites, Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;
੧੫ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਹਸ਼ੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਰੀਕਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਬੂੰਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, over the outside business of the house of God, of the chiefs of the Levites;
੧੬ਸ਼ਬਥਈ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਜ਼ਾਬਾਦ ਜੋ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਸਨ।
17 and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, leader of the praise who giveth thanks, in prayer, and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, —and Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.
੧੭ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਮੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਕਬੁਕਯਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਦਾ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਮੂਆਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਗਾਲਾਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
18 All the Levites in the holy city, were two hundred and eighty-four.
੧੮ਸਾਰੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕੁੱਲ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਚੁਰਾਸੀ ਸਨ।
19 And, the door-keepers—Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren who were keeping watch in the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two.
੧੯ਦਰਬਾਨ ਅੱਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਮੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਸਨ, ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਬਹੱਤਰ ਸਨ।
20 But, the residue of Israel, the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
੨੦ਬਾਕੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
21 Howbeit, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —and, Ziha and Gishpa, were over the Nethinim.
੨੧ਪਰ ਨਥੀਨੀਮ ਓਫ਼ਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸੀਹਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਸ਼ਪਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
22 And, the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, —of the sons of Asaph the singers, to take lead in the business of the house of God.
੨੨ਜੋ ਲੇਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਉੱਜ਼ੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਬਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
23 For, the commandment of the king, was upon them, —as to a fixed provision for the singers, the need of a day upon its day.
੨੩ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਸੀ।
24 And, Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, son of Judah, was at the hand of the king, in every matter pertaining to the people.
੨੪ਪਥਹਯਾਹ ਜੋ ਮਸ਼ੇਜ਼ਬੇਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ।
25 And, as for the villages in their fields, some of the sons of Judah, dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and the hamlets thereof, and in Dibon, and the hamlets thereof, and in Jekabzeel, and the villages thereof;
੨੫ਹੁਣ ਬਾਕੀ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਅਰਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੁਝ ਦੀਬੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਯਕਬਸਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਗਏ,
26 and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-pelet;
੨੬ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ, ਮੋਲਾਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ-ਪਾਲਟ ਵਿੱਚ,
27 and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and the hamlets thereof;
੨੭ਹਸਰਸ਼ੂਆਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ,
28 and in Ziklag, and in Meconah, and in the hamlets thereof,
੨੮ਅਤੇ ਸਿਕਲਗ, ਤੇ ਮਕੋਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ,
29 and in En-rimmmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth;
੨੯ਏਨ-ਰਿੰਮੋਮ, ਸਾਰਾਹ, ਯਰਮੂਥ,
30 Zanoah, Adullam and their villages, Lachish, and the fields thereof, Azekah, and the hamlets thereof, —so they encamped from Beer-sheba, unto the valley of Hinnom.
੩੦ਜ਼ਾਨੋਅਹ, ਅਦੁੱਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਜ਼ੇਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਿੰਨੋਮ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
31 And, the sons of Benjamin, [dwelt] from Geba, to Michmas and Aija, and Bethel, and the hamlets thereof:
੩੧ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਵੰਸ਼ ਗਬਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਕਮਾਸ਼, ਅੱਯਾਹ, ਬੈਤਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ
32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;
੩੨ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਥੋਥ, ਨੋਬ, ਅਨਨਯਾਹ,
33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;
੩੩ਹਾਸੋਰ, ਰਾਮਾਹ, ਗਿੱਤਾਯਮ,
34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;
੩੪ਹਦੀਦ, ਸਬੋਈਮ, ਨਬੱਲਾਟ,
35 Lod and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
੩੫ਲੋਦ, ਓਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੀਗਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਤੱਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
36 Howbeit, of the Levites, certain courses of Judah, pertained unto Benjamin.
੩੬ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਗਏ।
