Nehemiah 11
1 And the rulers of the people dwelt in Jerusalem, —and, the rest of the people, cast lots, to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts in [other] cities.
Para pemimpin menetap di Yerusalem dan rakyat membuang undi untuk memilih satu keluarga dari setiap sepuluh keluarga yang harus tinggal di kota suci Yerusalem. Yang tidak terpilih boleh tinggal di kota-kota yang lain.
2 And the people bestowed a blessing on all the men, who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
Di antara mereka ada yang rela menetap di Yerusalem dan mereka dipuji oleh rakyat.
3 Now, these, are the chiefs of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, but, in the cities of Judah, dwelt every man in his possession throughout their cities, Israel, the priests, and the Levites and the Nethinim, and the Sons of the Servants of Solomon.
Di kota-kota lain, rakyat Israel, para imam, orang-orang Lewi, para pekerja Rumah TUHAN, dan keturunan pelayan-pelayan Salomo tinggal di tanah milik mereka dan di kota-kota mereka sendiri.
4 And, in Jerusalem, dwelt certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin, —Of the sons of Judah, Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;
Beberapa orang dari suku Yehuda dan Benyamin tinggal di Yerusalem. Inilah daftar nama-nama mereka: Anggota-anggota suku Yehuda: Ataya anak Uzia dan cucu Zakharia. Beberapa di antara nenek moyangnya ialah: Amarya, Sefaca dan Mahalaleel, Peres, Yehuda. Jumlahnya 468 orang yang gagah perkasa. Maaseya anak Barukh dan cucu Kolhoze. Beberapa di antara nenek moyangnya ialah: Hazaya, Adaya, Yoyarib, Zakharia, Syela, Yehuda.
5 and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.
6 All the sons of Perez who were dwelling in Jerusalem, four hundred and sixty-eight, men of ability.
7 And, these, are the sons of Benjamin, —Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah;
Anggota-anggota suku Benyamin: Salu anak Mesulam dan cucu Yoed. Beberapa di antara nenek moyangnya ialah: Pedaya, Kolaya, Maaseya, Itiel dan Yesaya. Gabai dan Salai. Mereka sanak saudara dekat dengan Salu. Semua berjumlah 928 orang dipimpin oleh
8 and, after him, Gabbai, Sallai, —nine hundred and twenty-eight.
9 And, Joel son of Zichri, was in charge over them, —and, Judah son of Hassenuah, was over the city, as second.
Yoel anak Zikhri dan wakilnya, Yehuda anak Hasenua.
10 Of the priests, Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin;
Para imam: Yedaya anak Yoyarib dan Yakhin. Seraya anak Hilkia dan cucu Mesulam. Beberapa di antara nenek moyangnya ialah: Zadok, Merayot, Ahitub yang menjabat Imam Agung.
11 Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;
12 and their brethren who were doing the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two, —and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah;
Seluruhnya ada 822 imam yang bertugas di Rumah TUHAN. Adaya anak Yeroham dan cucu Pelalya. Beberapa di antara nenek moyangnya ialah: Amzi, Zakharia, Pasyhur dan Malkia.
13 and his brethren, ancestral chiefs, two hundred and forty-two, —and Amashsai son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer;
Kepala-kepala keluarga dalam kaum itu berjumlah 242 orang. Amasai anak Asareel dan cucu Ahzai. Nenek moyangnya antara lain ialah: Mesilemot dan Imer.
14 and their brethren, strong men of ability, a hundred and twenty-eight, —and, he who was in charge of them, was Zabdiel, son of Haggedolim.
Dari kaum ini ada 128 orang pahlawan yang gagah perkasa. Pemimpin mereka adalah Zabdiel, anak Gedolim.
15 And, of the Levites, Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;
Orang-orang Lewi: Semaya anak Hasub dan cucu Azrikam. Nenek moyangnya antara lain ialah Hasabya dan Buni. Sabetai dan Yozabad, orang-orang Lewi penting yang mengawasi pekerjaan di luar Rumah TUHAN. Matanya anak Mikha dan cucu Zabdi, dari keturunan Asaf. Dia pemimpin para penyanyi untuk doa syukur. Bakbukya wakil Matanya. Abda anak Samua dan cucu Galal, dari keturunan Yedutun. Semuanya berjumlah 284 orang.
16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, over the outside business of the house of God, of the chiefs of the Levites;
17 and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, leader of the praise who giveth thanks, in prayer, and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, —and Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.
18 All the Levites in the holy city, were two hundred and eighty-four.
19 And, the door-keepers—Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren who were keeping watch in the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two.
Para penjaga pintu gerbang: Akub, Talmon dan rekan-rekan mereka. Semuanya berjumlah 172 orang.
20 But, the residue of Israel, the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
Rakyat Israel, para imam dan orang-orang Lewi yang selebihnya, tinggal di tanah mereka di berbagai-bagai kota di Yehuda.
21 Howbeit, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —and, Ziha and Gishpa, were over the Nethinim.
Para pekerja di Rumah TUHAN tinggal di bagian kota Yerusalem yang bernama Ofel. Mereka bekerja di bawah pimpinan Ziha dan Gispa.
22 And, the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, —of the sons of Asaph the singers, to take lead in the business of the house of God.
Pengawas orang-orang Lewi yang tinggal di Yerusalem ialah Uzi anak Bani dan cucu Hasabya. Nenek moyangnya antara lain ialah Matanya dan Mikha. Ia termasuk kaum Asaf, yang bertugas mengurus musik pada kebaktian di Rumah TUHAN.
23 For, the commandment of the king, was upon them, —as to a fixed provision for the singers, the need of a day upon its day.
Giliran setiap kaum untuk mengurus musik di Rumah TUHAN setiap hari ditentukan menurut peraturan raja.
24 And, Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, son of Judah, was at the hand of the king, in every matter pertaining to the people.
Petahya anak Mesezabeel dari kaum Zera dan suku Yehuda, menjadi wakil bangsa Israel di istana Persia.
25 And, as for the villages in their fields, some of the sons of Judah, dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and the hamlets thereof, and in Dibon, and the hamlets thereof, and in Jekabzeel, and the villages thereof;
Banyak di antara rakyat tinggal di kota-kota yang berdekatan dengan ladang-ladang mereka. Beberapa orang dari suku Yehuda tinggal di daerah antara Bersyeba sebelah selatan dan Lembah Hinom sebelah utara. Mereka tinggal di kota-kota berikut dengan desa-desa di sekitarnya: Kiryat-Arba, Dibon, Yekabzeel, Yesua, Molada, Bet-Pelet, Hazar-Sual, Bersyeba, Ziklag, Mekhona, En-Rimon, Zora, Yarmut, Zanoah, Adulam, Azeka, Lakhis.
26 and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-pelet;
27 and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and the hamlets thereof;
28 and in Ziklag, and in Meconah, and in the hamlets thereof,
29 and in En-rimmmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth;
30 Zanoah, Adullam and their villages, Lachish, and the fields thereof, Azekah, and the hamlets thereof, —so they encamped from Beer-sheba, unto the valley of Hinnom.
31 And, the sons of Benjamin, [dwelt] from Geba, to Michmas and Aija, and Bethel, and the hamlets thereof:
Beberapa orang dari suku Benyamin tinggal di Geba, Mikhmas, Ai, Betel dan desa-desa di dekatnya,
32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;
di Anatot, Nob, Ananya,
33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;
Hazor, Rama, Gitaim,
34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;
Hadid, Zeboim, Nebalat,
35 Lod and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
Lod, Ono dan di Lembah Tukang-tukang.
36 Howbeit, of the Levites, certain courses of Judah, pertained unto Benjamin.
