< Nahum 1 >
1 The oracle, on Nineveh, —the scroll of the vision of Nahum, the Elkoshite.
Ti pakaammo maipanggep iti Nineve. Ti Libro ti Sirmata ni Nahum, nga Elkoshita.
2 A GOD jealous and avenging, is Yahweh, an avenger, is Yahweh, and a lord of wrath, an avenger, is Yahweh towards his adversaries, and, a retainer [of anger], is he to his foes.
Ni Yahweh ket managimon a Dios ken managibales; managibales ni Yahweh ken napnoan ti pungtot; managibales ni Yahweh kadagiti kabusorna ken sipupungtot latta kadagiti kabusorna.
3 Yahweh, is slow to anger, but great in vigour, He will not leave, unpunished, as for Yahweh, in storm-wind and in tempest, is his way, and, clouds, are the dust of his feet.
Saan a nalaka nga agpungtot ni Yahweh ken naindaklan ti pannakabalinna, saanna a pulos nga ipakaammo nga awan basol dagiti kabusorna. Ipakpakita ni Yahweh ti wagasna babaen iti alipugpog ken iti bagyo, ket dagiti ulep ti tapok dagiti sakana.
4 Who rebuketh the sea and hath made it dry, and, all the streams, hath he dried up, —withered are Bashan and Carmel, Even the bloom of Lebanon, is withered:
Tubngarenna ti baybay ken pagmagaenna daytoy; paatiananna dagiti amin a karayan. Nakapuy ti Basan ken kasta met ti Carmel; dagiti sabong ti Libano ket aglaylay.
5 Mountains, have trembled because of him, and, the hills, have melted, —and the earth, hath lifted itself up, at his presence, the world also, and all who dwell therein.
Agkintayeg dagiti bantay iti presensiana, ken marunaw dagiti turturod; margaay ti daga iti presensiana, pudno, ti lubong ken dagiti amin tattao nga agnanaed iti daytoy.
6 Before his indignation, who shall stand? And who shall abide the glow of his anger? His wrath, hath been poured forth like fire, and, the rocks, have been broken down because of him.
Siasino ti makabael a sumango iti pungtotna? Siasino ti makalapped iti kinarungsot ti ungetna? Naibukbok ti pungtotna a maiyarig iti apuy ken naburak dagiti bato gapu kenkuana.
7 Good is Yahweh, as a protection in the day of distress, —and one who acknowledgeth them who seek refuge in him.
Naimbag ni Yahweh, maysa a sarikedked iti aldaw ti riribuk; ken napudno isuna kadagiti agkamang kenkuana.
8 But, with an overflow rolling on, a full end, will he make of them who rise up against him, —and, his foes, will he pursue into darkness.
Ngem gibusannanto a naan-nay dagiti kabusorna babaen iti napigsa a layus; kamatennanto ida iti kasipngetan.
9 What can ye devise against Yahweh? A full end, is he making, —Distress, shall not rise up twice:
Dakayo a tattao, ania ti pangpanggepenyo a maibusor kenni Yahweh? Gibusannanto a naan-anay daytoy; saanto a rumsua ti riribuk iti maikadua a daras.
10 Though they were like thorns intertwined, and as drunkards drenched with their drink, yet have they been devoured, like stubble fully dry.
Ta agpipinnutipotdanto a kas kadagiti sisiit; mabartekdanto kadagiti inumenda; makisapdanto a naan-anay babaen iti apuy a kas iti namaga a garami.
11 Out of thee, hath one come forth—plotting, against Yahweh, wickedness, —A counselor of the Abandoned One.
Maysa a tao ti bimmangon kenka, O Ninive, a nagpanggep iti dakes maibusor kenni Yahweh, maysa a nangiyam-ammo iti kinadakes.
12 Thus, saith Yahweh, Though they be in full force, and so in great numbers, yet, even so, have they been cut off, and have passed away, —If I humble thee [once], I will not humble thee again.
Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: “Uray no addaanda iti naan-anay a pigsa ken bilang, maputeddanto met laeng; awanton dagiti tattaoda. Ngem sika, O Juda: Uray no pinagsagabaka, saankanton a pagsagabaen.
13 Now, therefore, will I break his yoke from off thee, —and, thy fetters, will I tear off.
Ita, tukkolek dayta a sangol dagiti tattao manipud kenka; pugsatek dagiti kawarmo.”
14 Then will Yahweh give command concerning thee, None of thy name shall be sown any more, —out of the house of thy gods, will I cut off carved image and molten image, I will appoint thy grave, for thou art of little esteem.
Ket nangted ni Yahweh iti bilin maipanggep kenka, O Nineve: “Awanton ti kaputotan a mangawit iti naganmo. Ikkatekto dagiti nakitikitan a ladawan ken ti ladawan a nasukog iti landok manipud kadagiti balay dagiti diosmo. kaliekto dagiti tanemmo, gapu ta nadangkeska.”
15 Lo! upon the mountains, The feet of one, who bringeth Good Tidings! who publisheth Prosperity! Celebrate, O Judah, thy pilgrim festivals, fulfil thy vows, for, not again, any more, shall the Abandoned One, pass through thee, he hath been wholly cut off.
Kumitaka, kadagiti tapaw dagiti bantay, adda dagiti saka ti maysa a tao a mangmangyeg iti naimbag a damag, a mangiwarwaragawag iti kappia! Rambakam dagiti fiestam, O Juda, ken tungpalem dagiti sapatam, gapu ta saannakanton a rauten ti nadangkes; naikisap isuna a naan-anay.
