Micah 7
1 Alas for me! for I am become as gatherings of summer fruit, as gleaning-grapes in harvest, there is no cluster to eat, the first ripe fruit, my soul, craved.
Malheur à moi! me voilà comme celui qui ramasse du chaume en la moisson, ou qui cueille un grappillon de la vendange, n'ayant pas à lui une seule grappe pour en manger les prémices; malheur à mon âme!
2 Perished is the man of lovingkindness out of the earth, and, upright among men, is there none, —they all, for bloodshed, lie in wait. Every man—for his brother, do they hunt as for one devoted to destruction.
Car le juste a péri sur la terre; et parmi les hommes il n'en est pas qui marche droit. Tous sont en justice pour avoir versé le sang; et chacun d'eux accable son prochain sous l'oppression.
3 Of wickedness with both hands to make sure, the ruler, doth make demand—and the judge—for a recompense, —and, as for the great man, he, is putting into words the desire of his soul, So have they woven the net!
Et leurs mains sont prêtes à faire le mal. le prince exige; le juge dit des paroles douces; et voici le désir de son âme: Je prendrai leurs biens,
4 The best of them, is as a sharp briar, and, the most upright, worse than a thorn hedge, The day of thy watchmen—of thy visitation, hath come, Now, shall be their confusion!
comme le ver qui ronge, marchant décemment au jour de la visite. Malheur! Tes vengeances, Seigneur, sont venues, et maintenant vont venir leurs lamentations.
5 Do not trust in a friend, do not put confidence in an associate, —from her that lieth in thy bosom, keep thou the doors of thy mouth;
Ne vous fiez pas à vos amis, n'espérez pas en vos princes; garde-toi même de ton épouse, et ne lui confie quoi que ce soit.
6 For, the son, treateth as foolish, the father, and, the daughter, riseth up against, her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, —The foes of a man, are the men of his own house.
Car le fils outragera le père; la fille se révoltera contre sa mère, la bru contre sa belle-mère; l'homme aura pour ennemis tous ceux de sa maison.
7 But, I, for Yahweh, will watch, I will wait for the God of my salvation, —My God, will hear me.
Pour moi, je regarderai le Seigneur; j'attendrai le Dieu mon Sauveur, et mon Dieu m'exaucera.
8 Do not rejoice, O mine enemy, against me, Though I fall, I shall rise again! Though I sit in darkness, Yahweh, is a light to me.
Ne m'insulte pas, ô mon ennemie, parce que je suis tombée, je me relèverai; car, si je suis à terre dans les ténèbres, le Seigneur m'éclairera.
9 The indignation of Yahweh, will I bear, for I have sinned against him, —until he take up my controversy, then will he do me justice, he will bring me forth to the light, I shall behold his righteousness.
Parce que j'ai péché contre le Seigneur, je supporterai Sa colère jusqu'à ce qu'Il ait reconnu juste ma cause. Et alors Il me rendra justice, et Il me ramènera à la lumière, et je verrai Son équité.
10 So shall she who had been mine enemy fear, and shame, shall cover her, who used to say unto me—Where is Yahweh thy God? Mine own eyes, shall look upon her, Now, shall she become one to he trodden down, like the mire of the lanes.
Et mon ennemie verra cela; et elle sera couverte de honte, celle qui dit maintenant: Où est le Seigneur ton Dieu? Mes yeux la regarderont alors, et elle sera foulée aux pieds comme la boue des rues.
11 On the day for building thy walls, —on that day, far away shall be thy boundary:
Voici le jour où l'on enduit la brique; ce jour sera celui de ta destruction, et ce jour-là tes lois seront effacées,
12 The very day, that, against thee, shall one come from Assyria, and [from] the cities of Egypt; yea from Egypt, even unto the River, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain:
et tes villes seront mises au niveau du sol; elles seront partagées entre les Assyriens; et tes forteresses seront partagées, depuis Tyr jusqu'au fleuve, d'une mer à l'autre, et d'une montagne à l'autre.
13 Though the land become a desolation, because of them that dwell therein, —by reason of the fruit of their doings.
Et ta terre et tous ceux qui l'habitent seront désolés, à cause des fruits de leur convoitise.
14 Shepherd thou thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine inheritance, Dwell thou alone, a jungle in the midst of a fruitful field, —Let them feed in Bashan and in Gilead, as in the days of age-past times.
Ta verge à la main, Seigneur, pais les brebis de Ton héritage, qui d'elles-mêmes se sont abritées dans la forêt du Carmel. Elles trouveront leur pâture en Basan et Galaad, comme aux jours d'autrefois,
15 As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt, will I shew him wonders.
comme aux jours où Tu nous as fait sortir d'Égypte. Vous verrez des prodiges;
16 Nations, shall see, that they may turn pale at all their valour, —they shall lay hand on mouth, their ears, shall be silent:
et les gentils les verront aussi, et ils en seront confondus malgré toute leur puissance, ils se mettront la main sur la bouche, et leurs oreilles n'entendront plus.
17 They shall lick the dust like the serpent, Like the crawlers of the earth, shall they come quaking out of their fastnesses, —Towards Yahweh our God, shall they pay adoration, and shall fear because of thee.
Ils lécheront la terre comme les serpents qui rampent dans la poussière; ils seront pleins de trouble dans l'enceinte de leurs remparts; ils seront hors d'eux-mêmes, à cause du Seigneur notre Dieu, et ils auront peu de Lui.
18 Who is a GOD like unto thee, taking away the iniquity—and passing over the transgression—of the remnant of his inheritance? He hath not held fast, perpetually, his anger, for, one who delighteth in lovingkindness, is he!
Qui donc est Dieu comme Toi, qui ôtes les péchés, et passes sous silence les impiétés de ce qui reste de Ton héritage! Le Seigneur n'a point maintenu le témoignage de Sa colère; Il Se complaît en Sa miséricorde;
19 He will again have compassion upon us, he will subdue our iniquities, —Thou wilt cast—into the depths of the sea—all their sins.
Il reviendra; Il aura compassion de nous; Il submergera nos iniquités; Il jettera nos péchés au fond de la mer.
20 Thou wilt grant—the faithfulness to Jacob, the lovingkindness to Abraham, —which thou didst swear to our fathers, from the days of ancient time.
Il fera des dons à Jacob, en vérité; Il sera miséricordieux envers Abraham, comme Il l'a juré à nos pères aux jours d'autrefois.
