Matthew 28
1 And, late in the week, when it was on the point of dawning into the first of the week, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to view the sepulchre.
Or la nuit du sabbat, le premier jour de la semaine commençant à luire, Marie-Madeleine et l’autre Marie vinrent pour voir le sépulcre.
2 And lo! a great commotion occurred, —for, a messenger of the Lord, descending out of heaven, and coming near, had rolled away the stone, and was sitting upon it.
Et voilà qu’il se fit un grand tremblement de terre; car un ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, et s’approchant, il renversa la pierre et s’assit dessus:
3 Now his appearance, was, as lightning, and, his clothing, white as snow;
Son visage était comme un éclair, et son vêtement comme la neige.
4 and, for fear of him, they who were keeping watch were thrown into a commotion, and became as dead men.
Par la crainte qu’il leur inspira, les gardes furent épouvantés, et devinrent comme morts.
5 But the messenger, answering, said unto the women—Be not, ye, afraid! For I know that, Jesus the crucified, ye are seeking:
Mais l’ange prenant la parole, dit aux femmes: Ne craignez point, vous; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, qui a été crucifié:
6 He is not here, for he hath arisen, as he said. Come! see the place where he lay;
Il n’est point ici; car il est ressuscité, comme il l’a dit; venez, et voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était déposé:
7 And, quickly going, tell his disciples—He hath arisen from the dead, and lo! he is going before you into Galilee; —There, shall ye yourselves see him: Lo! I have told you.
Et allant promptement, dites à ses disciples qu’il est ressuscité: et voici qu’il va devant vous en Galilée; c’est là que vous le verrez. Ainsi je vous l’ai dit d’avance.
8 And, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to bring tidings unto his disciples.
Elles sortirent aussitôt du sépulcre avec crainte et avec une grande joie, courant porter ces nouvelles à ses disciples.
9 And lo! Jesus, met them, saying—Joy to you! And, they, going forward, held his feet, and worshipped him.
Et voilà que Jésus se présenta à elles, disant: Je vous salue. Et elles, s’approchant, embrassèrent ses pieds et l’adorèrent.
10 Then, Jesus saith unto them—Be not afraid! Go your way, bear tidings unto my brethren, that they may depart into Galilee; and, there, shall they themselves see me.
Alors Jésus leur dit: Ne craignez point; allez, annoncez à mes frères qu’ils aillent en Galilée; c’est là qu’ils me verront.
11 Now as they were, going, lo! certain of the guard, went into the city and reported unto the High-priests all the things that had come to pass;
Lorsqu’elles s’en furent allées, voilà que quelques-uns des gardes vinrent à la ville, et rapportèrent aux princes des prêtres tout ce qui s’était passé.
12 and, being gathered together with the Elders and taking counsel, sufficient pieces of silver, gave they unto the soldiers, —
Et ceux-ci, s’étant assemblés avec les anciens, et ayant tenu conseil, donnèrent une grosse somme d’argent aux soldats,
13 saying—Say ye, His disciples, coming, by night, stole him, while we were sleeping;
Disant: Dites: Ses disciples sont venus de nuit et l’ont enlevé, pendant que nous dormions.
14 And, if this be reported unto the governor, we, will persuade him, and will make, you, free from care.
Et si le gouverneur l’apprend, nous le persuaderons, nous vous mettions en sûreté.
15 And, they, taking the pieces of silver, did as they were instructed. And this account was spread abroad among the Jews…until this [very] day.
Ainsi les soldats, l’argent reçu, firent comme on leur avait appris; et ce bruit s’est répandu parmi les Juifs jusqu’à ce jour.
16 And, the eleven disciples, went into Galilee, unto the mountain which, Jesus, had appointed them;
Cependant les onze disciples s’en allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne que Jésus leur avait déterminée.
17 and, seeing him, they worshipped, but, some, doubted.
Et le voyant, ils l’adorèrent; quelques-uns néanmoins doutèrent.
18 And Jesus, coming near, spake unto them, saying—All authority, in heaven and on earth, hath been given unto me;
Alors s’approchant, Jésus leur parla, disant: Toute puissance m’a été donnée dans le ciel et sur la terre.
19 Go ye, therefore, and disciple all the nations, Immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, —
Allez donc, enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant au nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit;
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I myself have commanded you, And lo! I, am, with you, all the days, until the conclusion of the age. (aiōn g165)
Leur apprenant à garder tout ce que je vous ai commandé: et voici que je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusqu’à la consommation du siècle. (aiōn g165)
