< Matthew 23 >
1 Then, Jesus spake unto the multitudes and unto his disciples,
Yeso mawuzi we tize, magu.
2 saying—Upon Moses’ seat, have sat down, the Scribes and the Pharisees:
Anu dungara wa taurat nan nanu bezi uru wa tonno u turi umu sa.
3 All things, therefore, whatsoever they tell you, do and observe, —but, according to their works, do ye not, for they, say, and do not, perform.
Barki anime, tarsani i wuzi vat imumbe sa wabuka shi, kati i wuzi imum sa wazin nu wuzame ba.
4 But they bind together heavy burdens, and lay upon men’s shoulders, whereas, they, with their finger, are not willing to move them.
Wake wa caniwwe cira ugittak, ujas uhanna, wacana anu uni agirza we acece awe wadake wa hana ba.
5 But, all their works, they do, to be gazed at, by men, —for they make broad their amulets, and make large their fringes,
Vat biwuza wuza buwe aje anu ani, wabara iliya idandang in ti di bi tuwe u tuzo adizi.
6 And dearly love the first couch in the chief meals, and the first seats in the synagogues,
Wa nyara ticukum ti gan can a hiri agab, nan tihira titi cukum ti hu ma udenge Asere.
7 And the salutations in the market-places, and to be called by men, Rabbi.
A issiziwe ati hira tini gura, agussin we anu dungara.
8 But, ye, —do not be called Rabbi, —for, one, is your Teacher, and, all ye, are brethren;
Kati hem a gussin shi anu dungara ba, barki unu dungara ushime u inde mani vat tu shi ni henu nini.
9 And, father, be none of you called, upon the earth, for, one, is your Father, the Heavenly;
Kati ititi uye acoo anyimo unee, barki acoo u inde mani asesere.
10 Neither be called leaders, for, your leader, is one, the Christ;
Kati atiti shi anu tarsan nanu wani ba unu tarsan na nu memani yeso.
11 And, the greatest of you, shall be to you, a minister;
De sa mazi unanu anyimo a shi me mani urere.
12 And, whoever shall exalt himself, shall be, abased, and, whoever shall abase himself, shall be, exalted,
Vat desa m yeze nice nume, adituzo me, desa ma tuzo nice adi yeze me.
13 But alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because ye are locking up the kingdom of the heavens before men, —for, ye, are not entering, neither, them who are entering, suffer ye to enter.
Shi wono shi anime anu dungara, nan anu uyetike a nu bezizi urusa, ana mi yakorsizo tina turibize azesese ace a shi, shi dakki ya ribe ba.
Shi wono shi anu dungara wataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, ana matin! ike iri imumare aneme sa anu ruma wawijo ike hunze tubunani in bi ringara bi jokon anime azin nu tara u shi.
15 Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: because ye compass sea and dry land, to make one convert—and, when it is done, ye make him a son of gehenna, twofold more than ye. (Geenna )
Shi wono shi anime, anu dungara wataura, nan nanu be zizi rusa, anamalin ike tar si ti hihira nan ma rba ma dandn dang, barki unyara unu tarsa ushi cas inki ya kem ikurzo me una yimo ura. (Geenna )
16 Alas for you, blind guides! that say—Whosoever shall swear by the Temple, it is, nothing, but, whosoever shall swear by the gold of the Temple, is bound:
Shi wono shi, shi anu hungo arubo, shi sa igussa, vattu shi yatonizo undenge Asere imum i zoni, aname desa ma tonikon in ni mumu ihuma udenge Asere, itoni idi rime.
17 Foolish and blind! for which is, greater, The gold, or the Temple that hath hallowed the gold?
Shi ababana, arobo! iya ini iteki shi innu gwardang, bizinariya bini nani udenge Asere sa u zi lau.
18 And, whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is, nothing, but, whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, is bound:
Ike gu, kodavi matoniko innu bagadi sadi ga imum izoni. vat de sa matoni kon innu wito nice, itono idimekime.
19 Blind! for which is greater, The gift, or the altar that halloweth the gift?
Shi arubo iya ini iteki innu gwarndang, u sadiga uni nani ubagadi uwito sa u zi usadiga alau.
20 He therefore that hath sworn by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all that is upon it;
Barki anime kovi magoni kon in nu bagadi uhaya sa uzi lau nani vat inni mumbe sa ira anyimo me.
21 And, he that hath sworn by the Temple, sweareth by it, and by him who dwelleth therein;
Vat desa ma tonikon innu denge Asere, matonikon me, nan desa mara anyimo me.
22 And, he that hath sworn by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him who sitteth thereupon.
koda vi matonikon na zesere, matonikon inn hira ati cukuno tu gomo masere.
23 Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because ye tithe the mint and the anise and the cummin, —and have dismissed the weightier matters of the law—the justice, the mercy, and the faith; whereas, these, it was binding, to do, and, those, not to, dismiss.
Shi wono shi anu dungara wataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! ike isusso imum ye sere reppii? Iye yavete imumu ihuna ini kara ya taura, me ini kadure, nan imum iriri, ubeziu inko iginọ ini ya wuna inguna iwuzi, kati iceki ireba ba.
24 Blind guides! Straining out the gnat, but, the camel, swallowing.
Anu hungo arubo, ike i inki iruba u kwaro dan mitsil, anime ike itu be ronkoni.
25 Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, —while, within, they are full of plunder and intemperance.
Shi wono shi anu dungara wa taura nan naun bezizi uru sa, anamalin! ike i kpici mamaru miso anyimo me ini madiri.
26 Blind Pharisee! cleanse, first, the inside, of the cup [and of the dish], that, the outside thereof, may become, clean.
Hu urubo unu bezi urusa! tuba u kpico u mamaru miso udiku kpici anyumo me barki mataraa macukuno lau.
27 Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because ye make yourselves like sepulchres whitewashed, which, outside, indeed, appear, beautiful, but, within, are full, of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness, —
Shiwono shi, anu dungara ataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! kasi mucau sa a humuka muni, amatara anyimo me a ubo ani zenzen.
28 Thus, ye also, outside, indeed, appear to men, righteous, but, within, are full, of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Aje shi ana huma wani, iye a nyimoo malin mani in katuma kaburu.
29 Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and adorn the monuments of the righteous,
Shiwono shi anu dungara ataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! ike i bari tikura a mu cau manu dang akatuma ka sere, ibara tihira.
30 and say—If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been their partners in the blood of the prophets:
Igusa da ta cukuno uganiya acokoro aru utuba, sa daki ta benkuwe u kwon gizo umaye manu adang akatuma.
31 So that ye bear witness against yourselves, that ye are, sons, of them who murdered the prophets.
A anime ya bezi ace ashi, she wani ahana uhuza ana katuma kadang ka sere.
32 And, ye, fill ye up the measure of your fathers!
Ba mincikinani katuma kacokoro ashime.
33 Serpents! broods of vipers! how should ye flee from the judgment of gehenna? (Geenna )
Shi iwa! aneni idi sumi u gwari ka anyimo ura. (Geenna )
34 For this cause, lo! I, send unto you, prophets and wise men and scribes, —some from among them, ye will slay and crucify, And some from among them ye will—scourge in your synagogues, and pursue from city to city:
Barkin anime ma tuman shi ana katuma kadang kasere, nan nanu urusa imum, nan anu rusa atau ra, idi huzi aye awe i gankirka aye, icobi aye suwe ti pin tipin, in nu mnsa uwe u zitto.
35 That there may come upon you—all righteous blood poured out upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous, unto the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom ye murdered between the Temple and the altar.
Barki nihaiki ni maye manu nanni ruba ubenki a kponkoni unee, makuro ace ashi uzi ka umaye mahabila unu uriri uhana uma zakariya unu barikiya, desa ya hu atii udenge Asere.
36 Verily, I say unto you—All these things, will have come, upon this generation.
Kadure inboshi, vat agimo me adi kem anu ganiya ugeme.
37 Jerusalem! Jerusalem! that slayeth the prophets, and stoneth them that have been sent unto her, —how often, would I have gathered thy children, like as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, —and ye would not!
“Shi ananu u urshalima! ananu urshalima anu huzza ana katuma ka dang kasere, anu vingizi an de sa atuma ahira ashi! ka ka hono kani manyara in orso shi kasi bi tukuru sabike bi orso ahana anyimo ama gawre mabini!
38 Lo! your house is left to you;
Iyenne aceki shi akura anime.
39 For I say unto you—in no wise, may ye see me, henceforth, until ye say, Blessed, is he that cometh, in the name of the Lord!
In bossi shi, idaka ira miba, senke ronobesa ya guna, biringara bi cukuno ahira unu ezen ni za ni gomo sere.”
