Matthew 21
1 And, when they drew near unto Jerusalem, and came unto Bethphage, unto the Mount of Olives, then, Jesus sent forth two disciples;
Und als sie Jerusalem nahe, nach Bethphage an den Ölberg, gekommen waren, da sandte Jesus zwei Jünger.
2 saying unto them—Be going into the village that is over against you, and, straightway, ye shall find an ass, bound, and a colt with her, —loose them, and lead them unto me.
Und sprach zu ihnen: Geht hin in das Dorf, das vor euch liegt, und alsbald werdet ihr finden eine angebundene Eselin, und ein Füllen bei ihr, löset sie ab, und bringet sie mir!
3 And, if anyone, unto you, say aught, ye shall say—Their Lord, hath, need, —and, straightway, he will send them.
Und wenn euch jemand etwas sagen würde, so sprechet: Der Herr hat sie nötig; und alsbald wird er sie gehen lassen.
4 But, this, hath come to pass, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through the prophet, saying:
Das geschah aber, auf daß erfülle würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten, der da spricht:
5 Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy King, is coming unto thee, meek and mounted upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of a toiling ass.
"Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe dein König kommt zu dir, sanftmütig, reitend auf einem Esel, und zwar auf einem Füllen, dem Jungen eines Lasttieres".
6 And the disciples, went, and did as Jesus directed them;
Die Jünger aber gingen hin, und taten, wie ihnen Jesus befohlen hatte;
7 and led the ass and the colt, and laid upon them their garments, and he took his seat upon them.
Und brachten die Eselin und das Füllen, und legten ihre Kleider darauf, und er setzte sich auf dieselben.
8 And, the chief multitude, spread their own mantles in the way, and, others, were cutting off young branches from the trees, and spreading them in the way;
Das meiste Volk aber breitete seine Kleider aus auf dem Wege, andere aber hieben Zweige ab von den Bäumen, und streuten sie auf dem Weg.
9 and the multitudes, they who were going before him and they who were following after, were crying aloud, saying—Hosanna! to the Son of David, Blessed is he that is coming in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
Die Volkshaufen aber, welche vorangingen und nachfolgten, schrieen und sprachen: Hosianna dem Sohne Davids! Gesegnet sei, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn, Hosianna in den Höhen.
10 And, when he entered into Jerusalem, all the city was startled, saying—Who is this?
Und als er einzog in Jerusalem, da geriet die ganze Stadt in Bewegung, und sprach: Wer ist dieser?
11 And, the multitudes, were saying—This, is the prophet Jesus, —He from Nazareth of Galilee.
Die Volkshaufen aber sprachen: Dieser ist Jesus, der Prophet von Nazareth in Galiläa.
12 And Jesus entered into the temple, and cast out all who were selling and buying in the temple, —and, the tables of the money-changers, he overthrew, and the seats of them who were selling doves;
Und Jesus zog ein in den Tempel Gottes, und trieb hinaus alle Händler und Käufer im Tempel, und die Tische der Wechsler und die Stühle der Taubenhändler stieß er um;
13 and saith unto them—It is written, My house, a house of prayer, shall be called; but, ye, are making it, A den of robbers!
Und sprach zu ihnen: Es steht geschrieben: "Mein Haus soll ein Bethaus heißen", ihr aber habt es zur Räuberhöhle gemacht.
14 And there came unto him blind and lame, in the temple, and he cured them.
Und es kamen zu ihm Blinde und Lahme im Tempel, und er heilte sie.
15 But the Chief-priests and the Scribes, seeing, the marvels that he wrought, and the boys who were crying aloud in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! were greatly displeased;
Als aber die Hohenpriester die Wunder sahen, die er tat, und die Kinder, welche im Tempel schrieen, und sprachen: Hosianna dem Sohne Davids! da wurden sie böse,
16 and said unto him—Hearest thou what these are saying? And, Jesus, saith unto them—Yea: Have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings, hast thou prepared praise?
Und sprachen zu ihm: Hörst du, was diese sagen? Jesus aber sagt ihnen: Ja! Habt ihr nie gelesen: "Aus dem Munde der Unmündigen und Säuglinge hast du Lob zubereitet!"
17 And, leaving them behind, he went forth outside the city into Bethany, and spent the night there.
Und er verließ sie, und ging hinaus aus der Stadt nach Bethanien, und übernachtete daselbst.
18 And, early, returning into the city, he hungered;
Des Morgens aber, als er wieder in die Stadt ging, hungerte ihn.
19 and, seeing one fig-tree by the way, he came up to it, and nothing, found he thereon, save leaves only, —and he saith unto it—No more, from thee, let fruit spring forth, unto times age-abiding, —and the fig-tree, instantly withered away. (aiōn g165)
Und er sah einen Feigenbaum am Wege, trat hinzu, fand aber nichts an ihm, außer Blätter allein, und spricht zu ihm: Nun wachse auf dir hinfort keine Frucht mehr ewiglich! Und der Feigenbaum verdorrte alsbald. (aiōn g165)
20 And the disciples, seeing it, marvelled, saying—How instantly, did the fig-tree wither away.
Und da das die Jünger sahen, verwunderten sie sich, und sprachen: Wie bald ist der Feigenbaum verdorrt!
21 And Jesus, answering, said unto them—Verily, I say unto you, If ye have faith, and do not doubt, not only, this of the fig-tree, shall ye do, —but, even if, unto this mountain, ye shall say, Be lifted up, and be cast into the sea, it shall be done.
Jesus aber antwortete, und sprach ihnen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr Glauben habt, und nicht zweifelt, so werdet ihr nicht allein das mit dem Feigenbaum tun, sondern wenn ihr sagen werdet zu diesem Berge: Hebe dich und wirf dich ins Meer, so wird´s geschehen.
22 And, all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Und alles, was ihr bittet im Gebet, mit Glauben, werdet ihr empfangen.
23 And, when he, entered, the temple, the Chief-priests and the Elders of the people, came unto him as he was teaching, saying, By what authority, these things, art thou doing? and, who, to thee, gave, this authority?
Und als er in den Tempel kam, traten zu ihm, während er lehrte, die Hohenpriester und Ältesten des Volkes, und sprachen: In welcher Macht tust du das? und wer hat dir diese Macht gegeben?
24 And, making answer, Jesus said unto them—I also, will ask, you, one thing, —which if ye tell me, I also, will tell, you, by what authority, these things, I am doing: —
Jesus aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Ich will euch auch ein Wort fragen, wenn ihr mir das saget, dann werde ich euch sagen, aus welcher Macht ich solches tue:
25 The immersion by John, whence was it? Of heaven, or of men? But, they, began to deliberate among themselves, saying—If we say, Of heaven; He will say unto us, Wherefore then did ye not believe him?
Woher war die Taufe Johannis? aus dem Himmel (d. h. Gott) oder aus Menschen? Sie aber dachten bei sich selbst so: Wenn wir sagen "aus dem Himmel", so wird er uns sagen: Warum habt ihr ihm denn nicht geglaubt?
26 But, if we say, Of men, we fear the multitude, for, all, as a prophet, are holding John.
Wenn wir aber sagen "aus Menschen", so fürchten wir das Volk, denn alle halten Johannes für einen Propheten.
27 And, making answer to Jesus, they said—We know not. He also, said unto them—Neither do, I, tell, you, by what authority, these things, I am doing.
Und sie antworteten Jesus, und sprachen: Wir wissen´s nicht. Da sagte auch er zu ihnen: So sage ich euch auch nicht, aus was für Macht ich das tue.
28 But how, to you, doth it seem? A man, had two sons: coming unto the first, he said, Son! go thy way, to-day, be working in the vineyard.
Was dünkt euch aber? Ein Mensch hatte zwei Kinder, und ging zu dem ersten, und sprach: Kind, ehe heute, und arbeite in meinem Weinberg!
29 And, he, answering, said, I, sir! and went not;
Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Ich will nicht. Hierauf aber reute es ihn, und ging.
30 And, coming unto the second, he spake, in like manner, —and, he, answering, said, I will not: afterwards, smitten with regret, he went.
Und er trat zum andern, und sprach gleich also. Der aber antwortete und sprach: Ja, Herr! und ging nicht.
31 Which of the two, did the will of the father? They say, The latter. Jesus saith unto them—Verily, I say unto you, the tax-collectors and the harlots, are going before you, into the kingdom of God;
Wer von den Zweien hat den Willen des Vaters getan? Sie aber sagten: Der erste. Sagt Jesus zu ihnen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß die Zöllner und Huren vor euch in die Himmelsherrschaft kommen werden.
32 For John came unto you, in a way of righteousness, and ye believed him not, —but, the tax-collectors and the harlots, believed him; and, ye, seeing it, were not even smitten with regret, afterwards, so as to believe him.
Denn Johannes kam zu euch auf dem Wege der Gerechtigkeit, und ihr habt ihm nicht geglaubt, aber die Zöllner und Huren haben ihm geglaubt, und als ihr es sahet, da habt ihr doch nicht hintendrein eure Gesinnung geändert, daß ihr ihm geglaubt hättet.
33 Another parable, hear ye: —A man there was, a householder, who planted a vineyard, and, a wall around it, placed, and digged in it a wine-vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, —and left home.
Höret ein anderes Gleichnis! Es war ein Hausherr, der pflanzte einen Weinberg, und führte einen Zaun darum, und grub in ihm eine Kelter, und baute einen Turm, und tat ihn Weingärtnern aus, und zog über Land.
34 And, when the season of fruits drew near, He sent forth his servants unto the husbandmen to receive his fruits.
Als aber die Zeit der Früchte herbeikam, sandte er seine Knechte zu den Weingärtnern, daß sie seine Früchte in Empfang nähmen.
35 And the husbandmen, taking his servants, one, indeed, they beat, and, another, slew, —and, another, stoned.
Und die Weingärtner nahmen seine Knechte, einen schlugen sie, den andern aber töteten sie, den dritten steinigten sie.
36 Again, sent he forth other servants, more than the first, and they did unto them, likewise.
Abermals sandte er andere und mehr Knechte, als die ersten, und sie taten ihnen gleichalso.
37 Afterwards, however, he sent forth unto them his son, saying, —They will pay deference unto my son!
Zuletzt aber sandte er zu ihnen seinen Sohn, und sagte: Sie werden sich vor meinem Sohn scheuen.
38 But, the husbandmen, seeing the son, said among themselves, —This, is, the heir: Come on! Let us slay him, and have his inheritance.
Die Weingärtner aber, als sie den Sohn sahen, sprachen untereinander: Dieser ist der Erbe; auf! laßt uns ihn töten, und wir werden sein Erbe besitzen!
39 And, taking him, they cast him forth outside the vineyard, —and slew him.
Und sie nahmen ihn, stießen ihn zum Weinberg hinaus, und töteten ihn.
40 When therefore the master of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
Wenn nun der Herr des Weinberges kommt, was wird er jenen Weingärtnern tun?
41 They say unto him—Miserable men! Miserably, will he destroy them; and will let out, the vineyard, to other husbandmen, who will render unto him the fruits in their seasons.
Sie sagen ihm: Arg wird er die Argen umbringen, und seinen Weinberg wird er andern Weingärtnern geben, welche ihm die Früchte abliefern zu ihrer Zeit.
42 Jesus saith unto them—Have ye, never, read in the Scriptures, A stone which the builders rejected, the same, hath become, head of the corner: From the Lord, hath this come to pass, and is marvellous in our eyes.
Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Habt ihr noch nie gelesen in der Schrift: "Der Stein, den die Bauleute verworfen haben, ist zum Eckstein geworden. Vom Herrn ist das geschehen, und ist wunderbar vor unseren Augen."
43 Wherefore I say unto you, The kingdom of God, will be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof:
Darum sage ich zu euch, daß die Gottesherrschaft von euch weggenommen werden wird, und einem (heidnischen) Volke gegeben, das seine Früchte bringt.
44 [And, he that falleth on this stone, will be sorely bruised; but, on whomsoever it may fall, it will utterly destroy him.]
Und wer auf diesen Stein fällt, der wird zerschellen, auf welchen er aber fällt, den wird er zermalmen.
45 And the Chief-priests and the Pharisees, hearing his parables, took note, that, concerning them, he was speaking.
Und da die Hohenpriester und Pharisäer diese seine Gleichnisse hörten, merkten sie, daß er von ihnen rede.
46 And, seeking to secure him, they feared the multitudes; since, for a prophet, were they holding him.
Und sie suchten ihn zu greifen, fürchteten aber die Volkshaufen, weil sie ihn für einen Propheten hielten.
