Matthew 19
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, he removed from Galilee and came into the bounds of Judaea beyond the Jordan.
| چون عیسی سخنان خود را به پایان رساند، جلیل را ترک کرد و به ناحیه‌ای از یهودیه در آن سوی رود اردن رفت. |
2 And there followed him large multitudes, and he cured them there.
| جمعیت انبوهی نیز به دنبال او به راه افتادند و در آنجا عیسی بیماران ایشان را شفا بخشید. |
3 And there came unto him Pharisees, testing him, and saying, —Whether is it allowed a man to divorce his wife, for every cause?
| آنگاه بعضی از فریسیان پیش آمدند تا با بحث و گفتگو، او را غافلگیر کنند. پس به عیسی گفتند: «آیا مرد اجازه دارد زن خود را به هر علّتی طلاق دهد؟» |
4 And, he, answering, said—Did ye never read—He who created at the beginning, Male and female, made them, —
| عیسی جواب داد: «مگر در کتب مقدّس نخوانده‌اید که در آغاز خلقت، خالق جهان”ایشان را مرد و زن آفرید“، |
5 and said—For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and be united to his wife, —and, the two, will become, one flesh;
| و فرمود:”به این سبب است که مرد از پدر و مادر خود جدا می‌شود و به زن خود می‌پیوندد، و آن دو یک تن می‌شوند“. |
6 So that, the longer, are they, two, but, one flesh, What, therefore, God, hath yoked together, Let not, a man, put asunder.
| بنابراین، از آن پس دیگر دو تن نیستند بلکه یک تن. پس آنچه را خدا پیوست، انسان جدا نکند.» |
7 They say unto him—Why then did, Moses, command, to give a writing of repudiation and to divorce?
| پرسیدند: «اگر چنین است، چرا موسی فرموده که مرد می‌تواند به زن خود طلاقنامه داده، او را رها کند؟» |
8 He saith unto them—Moses, in view of your hardness of heart, permitted you to divorce your wives; From the beginning however, hath it not been done, thus.
| عیسی جواب داد: «موسی به علّت سنگدلی شما اجازه داد که زن خود را طلاق دهید، امّا این خواست خدا در آغاز خلقت نبود. |
9 And I say unto you—Whosoever shall divorce his wife, saving for unfaithfulness, and shall marry another, committeth adultery.
| و من به شما می‌گویم، هر که زن خود را به هر علّتی جز خیانت طلاق دهد و با زن دیگری ازدواج کند، زناکار محسوب می‌شود.» |
10 The disciples say unto him—If, so, is the cause of the husband with the wife, it is not expedient to marry.
| شاگردان عیسی به او گفتند: «با این حساب، ازدواج نکردن بهتر است!» |
11 But, he, said unto them—Not all, find room for he word, save they to whom it hath been given;
| عیسی فرمود: «همه نمی‌توانند این گفته را بپذیرند، مگر کسانی که خدا توانایی‌اش را به آنان داده باشد. |
12 For there, are, eunuchs, who, from their mother’s womb, were born so, and there, are, eunuchs, who were made eunuchs, by men, —and there, are, eunuchs, who have made, themselves, eunuchs, for the sake the kingdom of the heavens: He that is able to find room, let him find room.
| بعضی به علّت نقص مادرزادی قادر به ازدواج نیستند؛ بعضی را نیز مردم ناقص کرده‌اند و نمی‌توانند ازدواج کنند؛ و بعضی نیز به خاطر ملکوت آسمان ازدواج نمی‌کنند. هر که قدرت اجرای این اصل ازدواج را دارد، بگذارید آن را بپذیرد.» |
13 Then, were brought unto him children, —that he might lay his hands upon them, and pray. And, the disciples, rebuked them.
| مردم کودکان خود را نزد عیسی آوردند تا او دست بر سر آنها بگذارد و دعا کند. ولی شاگردان، آنها را سرزنش کردند. |
14 But, Jesus, said—Suffer the children—and do not hinder them—to come unto me, —for, of such, is the kingdom of the heavens.
| عیسی فرمود: «بگذارید کودکان نزد من بیایند و مانع ایشان نشوید. زیرا ملکوت آسمان مال کسانی است که مانند این کودکان هستند.» |
15 And, laying his hands upon them, he went his way from thence.
| سپس دست بر سر ایشان گذاشت و آنان را برکت داده، از آنجا رفت. |
16 And lo! one coming near unto him, said, Teacher! what good thing shall I do, that I may have life age-abiding? (aiōnios g166)
| در همان روزها، شخصی نزد عیسی آمد و پرسید: «استاد، من چه کار نیکی انجام دهم تا بتوانم زندگی جاوید داشته باشم؟» (aiōnios g166) |
17 And, he, said unto him—Why dost thou question me concerning that which is good? There is, One, that is good! But, if thou desirest, into life, to enter, be keeping the commandments.
| عیسی گفت: «چرا از من دربارهٔ کار نیکو می‌پرسی؟ فقط یک نفر هست که نیکوست. ولی در جوابت باید بگویم که اگر احکام خدا را نگاه داری، زندگی جاوید خواهی داشت.» |
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus, said—These: Thou shalt not commit murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, —Thou shalt not bear false witness;
| پرسید: «کدام یک از احکام را؟» عیسی جواب داد: «قتل نکن، زنا نکن، دزدی نکن، شهادت دروغ نده، |
19 Honour thy father and thy mother, —and—Thou shalt love thy neighbour as, thyself.
| پدر و مادر خود را گرامی بدار، و همسایه‌ات را همچون جان خویش دوست بدار.» |
20 The young man saith unto him—These all, have I kept, —What, further, do I lack?
| مرد جواب داد: «همۀ این احکام را انجام داده‌ام. حالا دیگر چه باید بکنم؟» |
21 Jesus said unto him—If thou desirest to be perfect, Withdraw! sell thy substance, and give to the destitute, —and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens; and come! be following me.
| عیسی به او گفت: «اگر می‌خواهی این راه را به کمال برسانی، برو و هر چه داری بفروش و پولش را به فقرا بده تا گنج تو در آسمان باشد نه بر زمین! آنگاه بیا و مرا پیروی کن!» |
22 And the young man, hearing, this word, went away sorrowing, —for he was holding large possessions.
| ولی وقتی مرد جوان این را شنید، اندوهگین از آنجا رفت، زیرا ثروت زیادی داشت. |
23 And, Jesus, said unto his disciples—Verily, I say unto you, A rich man, with difficulty, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
| آنگاه عیسی به شاگردانش گفت: «این را بدانید که برای ثروتمندان ورود به ملکوت آسمان بسیار سخت است. |
24 Again I say unto you—Easier, is it for, a camel, through the eye of a needle, to enter, than a rich man—into the kingdom of God.
| باز به شما می‌گویم، گذشتن شتر از سوراخ سوزن آسانتر است از وارد شدن شخص ثروتمند به ملکوت خدا!» |
25 And, hearing it, the disciples were being struck with the greatest astonishment, saying—Who then can be saved?
| شاگردان از این سخن شگفت‌زده شده، پرسیدند: «پس چه کسی در این دنیا می‌تواند نجات پیدا کند؟» |
26 And, looking intently, Jesus said unto them—With men, this is, impossible, but, with God, all things are possible.
| عیسی نگاهی به ایشان انداخت و فرمود: «از نظر انسان این کار غیرممکن است، ولی برای خدا همه چیز ممکن است.» |
27 Then, making answer, Peter said unto him—Lo! we, have left all, and followed thee, —What then shall there be, for us?
| پطرس گفت: «ما که از همه چیز دست کشیده‌ایم تا از تو پیروی کنیم، چه سودی عاید ما می‌شود؟» |
28 And, Jesus, said unto them—Verily, I say unto you, As for you who followed me in the regeneration, When the Son of Man shall take his seat on his throne of glory, ye also, shall be seated upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
| عیسی جواب داد: «وقتی من در آن دنیای جدید بر تخت سلطنتم بنشینم، شما شاگردان من نیز بر دوازده تخت نشسته، دوازده قبیلهٔ اسرائیل را داوری خواهید نمود. |
29 And, whosoever left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for sake of my name, manifold, shall receive, and life, age-abiding, shall inherit. (aiōnios g166)
| هر که به خاطر من از برادر و خواهر، پدر و مادر و فرزند، خانه و زمین چشم بپوشد، صد چندان بیشتر خواهد یافت و زندگی جاوید را نیز به دست خواهد آورد. (aiōnios g166) |
30 But many shall be—first-last, and last-first.
| ولی بسیاری که اکنون اول هستند، آخر خواهند شد و کسانی که آخرند، اول.» |
