Matthew 14
1 In that season, heard Herod the tetrarch, the fame of Jesus:
Erah tokdi Galili luungwang Hirod ih Jisu tiit ah japchaatta.
2 and he said unto his servants—This, is John the Immerser, —he hath arisen from the dead, for this cause, are the powers working mightily within him.
“Eno heh ih apit nawa miloong asuh baat rumta, Juungtemte Joon ah amiisak tek nawa boh ngaak saatla.” “Erah thoidi heh di arah epaatjaatheng reejih chaan ah jeela.”
3 For, Herod, seizing John, had bound him, and, in prison, put him away, —because of Herodias, the wife of Philip his brother;
Hirod ih jaakhoh ih dook Joon ah khakthuk cho angta, jaanruh ih kit ano phaatak ni sakta. Hirod ih erah khak thukta langla heh no Philip minuh kap tungthoidi, Hirodias ah maangdi heh no minuh angta.
4 for John had been saying to him, It is not allowed thee, to have her.
Tumeah Juungtemte Joon ih jaakhoni Hirod suh baatcho angta, “Hootthe jun ih bah an Hirodias damdoh tajen chosong ko!”
5 And desiring, to kill, him, he feared the multitude, because, as a prophet, they held him.
Eno Hirod ih Juungtemte Joon tek haat ah taat chungta ang abah uh Jehudi loong ra choota, tumeah neng ih Juungtemte Joon asuh khowah et thiik rumta.
6 But, a birthday feast of Herod taking place, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod;
Hirod tupsa di Hirodias sah minusah rah mirep miraang pandi boongta. Hirod ah rapne ih roonta
7 wherefore, with an oath, he promised to give her, whatsoever she should ask for herself;
eno minusah asuh kakhamta, “Ngah ih kakham hala an ih tumjih suhang erah koha!”
8 and, she, being led on by her mother, —Give me (saith she) here, upon a charger, the head of John the Immerser.
Heh nuh jengkhaap jun ih minusah rah ih suta, “Amadoh ngah suh khuung nah Juungtemte Joon khoh ah kohang!”
9 And the king, though grieved, yet, because of the oaths and the guests, ordered it to be given;
Eno luungwang ih rapne et thet thunta, ang abah uh heh ih wen loongdung ni kakham cho ang thoidi minusah ih suta ah ekot etheng ih baat rumta.
10 and sent and beheaded John in the prison.
Eno phaatak nawa Juungtemte Joon khoh ah thah kaat thukta.
11 And his head was brought upon a charger, and given unto the maiden, and she brought it to her mother.
Juungtemte Joon khoh ah khuung ni piiwanha no minusah asuh kota, eno minusah rah ih heh nuh suh we toom kota.
12 And his disciples, going near, bare away the corpse, and buried him, and came and brought tidings unto Jesus.
Joon liphante loong ah wang rum ano, heh mang ah toonwang rum ano beng kaat rumta, eno Jisu suh baatwan rumta.
13 And Jesus, hearing it, retired from thence in a boat, into a desert place, apart, —and the multitudes, hearing of it, followed him on foot from the cities.
Jisu ih Juungtemte Joon tiit ah chaat ano, erah dowa heh khoonkhuung ni duungtong ano heh laklak hatik ni kata. Miloong ah ih erah japchaat rum ano, neng hadaang ah thiinhaat rum ano saang lam ih heh lilih ih phankhoom karumta.
14 And, coming forth, he saw a great multitude, —and was moved with compassion over them, and cured their sick.
Jisu khoonkhuung nawa dokkhoom adi heh ih miloong hantek kaptup rum ano heh minchan ah dongta, eno heh ih khoisatte loong ah deesiitta.
15 And, evening, arriving, the disciples came unto him, saying—The place is, a desert, and, the hour, hath already passed, —dismiss the multitudes, that they may go away into the villages, and buy themselves food.
Erah rangja adi heliphante loong ah heh jiinni wang rum ano baat rumta, “Rangsa ejen kaat eta, eno seng ah hatik ni. Miloong ah daap et uh neng phaksat hadaang loong dowa neng neng ih toom jam reh phaksah wang rum ah.”
16 But, Jesus, said unto them, No need, have they to go away, —give, ye, them to eat.
Jisu ih ngaakbaat rumta, “Nak toom dokkhoom rum ah. Neng phaksat ah sensen ih jam koh an!”
17 But, they, say unto him—We have nothing here, save five loaves and two fishes.
“Sengdi bah baanlo banga, nyasi enyi ba je ah,” neng ih ngaakbaatta.
18 But, he, said—Bring, them, to me, here.
“Erah ang abah nga jiinnah piiwan han,” Jisu ih liita.
19 And, giving orders that the multitudes should recline upon the grass, —taking the five loaves and the two fishes, —looking up into the heaven, he blessed; and, breaking, gave, the disciples, the loaves, and the disciples unto the multitude.
Heh ih miloong ah naam khoh adi tongthuk rumta; eno heh ih baanlo banga, nyasi enyi ah toonpi ano, rangko ih toonsok ano, Rangte suh lakookmi liita. Heh ih baanlo ah chepphiit ano heliphante loong asuh kota, eno heliphante loong ah ih miloong asuh phe kokaat rumta.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled, —and they took up the remainder of the broken pieces, twelve baskets, full.
Warep ih neng wok phoottang ih phaksah rumta. Eno heliphante loong ah ih asih hongnyi dakta rah lomtoon rumta.
21 And, they who did eat, were about five thousand, men, besides women and children.
Erah phaksatte loong ah minuh noodek loong ah larookweka di, miwah wah ah haajaat banga angta.
22 And [straightway] constrained he the disciples to enter into a boat, and be going before him unto the other side, while he dismissed the multitudes.
Eno Jisu ih heliphante loong ah khoonkhuung ni duungtong thuk rum ano juungsitum saangko ih ban kaat thuk rumta, erah pootdi heh ih miloong ah phe soon thukta.
23 And, dismissing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain, apart, to pray, —and when, evening, came, alone, was he, there.
Miloong ah phe soon thuk lini, heh kong adi rangsoom duung wangta. Rangja ko di nep, Jisu ah erah di heh luulu angta;
24 Now, the boat, still many furlongs from the land, was holding off, being distressed by the waves, —for, the wind, was, contrary.
erah tok adi khoonkhuung ah juungsitum, haloh ni juungtak ih moongmot kaatta, pong uh erah ko ih pong kaatta.
25 And, in the fourth watch of the night, he came unto them, walking upon the sea.
Chichurudi Jisu ah heliphante loong jiinni, juung khoni khoom katta.
26 And, the disciples, seeing him, upon the lake walking, were troubled, —saying—It is, a ghost; and, by reason of their fear, they cried out.
Neng ih heh ah juung ni khoom arah tup rum ano, rapne ih cho rumta. “Erah jook!” neng ih liita, eno huung cho erumta.
27 And, straightway, Jesus spake unto them, saying—Take courage! it is, I,—be not afraid.
Erah damdam Jisu ah jengta. “Sen tenchaan ang an!” heh ih liita. “Nakcho an. Ngah hanih!”
28 And, making answer, Peter said unto him, —Lord! if it is, thou, bid me come unto thee, upon the waters.
Eno Pitar eh liita. “Teesu, an amiimi ang ubah, ngah an jiinko juungkhoh nah khoom thuk hang.”
29 And, he, said—Come! And, descending from the boat, Peter walked upon the waters, and came unto Jesus.
Eno Jisu ih poonta, “Raaho!” Eno Pitar ah khoonkhuung nawa dokkhoom ano juungkhoh ni Jisu jiinko ih katta.
30 But, seeing the wind, he was affrighted, and, beginning to sink, cried out, saying—Lord! save me!
Enoothong heh ih pong ah nge ah dongjat ano dong chota eno, juung adi taat lupdatta. Eno riinghuungta, Teesu! “Pang weehang.”
31 And, straightway, Jesus, stretching forth his hand, laid hold upon him and saith unto him—O little-of-faith! why didst thou doubt?
Erah damdam Jisu ah heh reeni kah ano tangjoh ano liita, “An tuungmaang laje mameelu! An mongchi mamanglu?”
32 And, when they came up into the boat, the wind abated.
Nengnyi khoonkhuung ni duungtong damdam, pong ah laan semruh eta.
33 And, they in the boat, bowed down to him, saying—Truly, God’s Son, thou art!
Eno heliphante loong ah ih Jisu rang ah soom rumta. “Amiisak an ah Rangte Sah!” neng ah paatja rumta.
34 And, going across, they came up the land, into Gennesaret.
Neng ih juungsitum ah daan rum ano Genesaret hadaang adi thok rumta,
35 And, recognizing him, the men of that place, sent out into all that region, and they brought unto him all who were sick;
erah di miloong ih Jisu ah samjat rumta. Erah thoih harep niiwa khoisatte loong asuh baat rumta eno Jisu jiinni thoksiit rum taha.
36 and were beseeching [him], that they might, only, touch the border of his mantle, and, as many as touched, were made quite well.
Neng ih khoisatte loong asuh heh nyuh kaangba adoh tajoot suh heh lasih joh rumta; eno erah taajootte loong ah ede ih rumta.
