Matthew 13
1 On that day, Jesus, going out of the house, was sitting near the sea:
અપરઞ્ચ તસ્મિન્ દિને યીશુઃ સદ્મનો ગત્વા સરિત્પતે રોધસિ સમુપવિવેશ|
2 and there were gathered unto him, large multitudes, so that, he, into a boat, entered, and was sitting, and, all the multitude, on the beach was standing.
તત્ર તત્સન્નિધૌ બહુજનાનાં નિવહોપસ્થિતેઃ સ તરણિમારુહ્ય સમુપાવિશત્, તેન માનવા રોધસિ સ્થિતવન્તઃ|
3 And he spake unto them many things, in parables, saying: Lo! the sower went forth to sow, —
તદાનીં સ દૃષ્ટાન્તૈસ્તાન્ ઇત્થં બહુશ ઉપદિષ્ટવાન્| પશ્યત, કશ્ચિત્ કૃષીવલો બીજાનિ વપ્તું બહિર્જગામ,
4 and, as he sowed, some, indeed, fell by the pathway, and, the birds, came, and devoured it;
તસ્ય વપનકાલે કતિપયબીજેષુ માર્ગપાર્શ્વે પતિતેષુ વિહગાસ્તાનિ ભક્ષિતવન્તઃ|
5 And, some, fell on the rocky places, where it had not much earth, —and, straightway, it sprang up, because if had no depth of earth;
અપરં કતિપયબીજેષુ સ્તોકમૃદ્યુક્તપાષાણે પતિતેષુ મૃદલ્પત્વાત્ તત્ક્ષણાત્ તાન્યઙ્કુરિતાનિ,
6 and, the sun arising, it was scorched, and, because it had no root, it withered away;
કિન્તુ રવાવુદિતે દગ્ધાનિ તેષાં મૂલાપ્રવિષ્ટત્વાત્ શુષ્કતાં ગતાનિ ચ|
7 And, some, fell upon the thorns, and the thorns came up, and choked it;
અપરં કતિપયબીજેષુ કણ્ટકાનાં મધ્યે પતિતેષુ કણ્ટકાન્યેધિત્વા તાનિ જગ્રસુઃ|
8 But, some, fell upon the good ground, and did yield fruit, —this, indeed a hundred fold, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
અપરઞ્ચ કતિપયબીજાનિ ઉર્વ્વરાયાં પતિતાનિ; તેષાં મધ્યે કાનિચિત્ શતગુણાનિ કાનિચિત્ ષષ્ટિગુણાનિ કાનિચિત્ ત્રિંશગુંણાનિ ફલાનિ ફલિતવન્તિ|
9 He that hath ears, let him hear.
શ્રોતું યસ્ય શ્રુતી આસાતે સ શૃણુયાત્|
10 And the disciples, coming near, said to him, Wherefore, in parables, art thou speaking to them?
અનન્તરં શિષ્યૈરાગત્ય સોઽપૃચ્છ્યત, ભવતા તેભ્યઃ કુતો દૃષ્ટાન્તકથા કથ્યતે?
11 And, he, answering, said, Because, unto you, hath it been given, to get to know the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, —whereas, unto them, hath it not been given.
તતઃ સ પ્રત્યવદત્, સ્વર્ગરાજ્યસ્ય નિગૂઢાં કથાં વેદિતું યુષ્મભ્યં સામર્થ્યમદાયિ, કિન્તુ તેભ્યો નાદાયિ|
12 For, whosoever hath, it shall be given, to him, and he shall be made to abound, —but, whoever hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken from him?
યસ્માદ્ યસ્યાન્તિકે વર્દ્ધતે, તસ્માયેવ દાયિષ્યતે, તસ્માત્ તસ્ય બાહુલ્યં ભવિષ્યતિ, કિન્તુ યસ્યાન્તિકે ન વર્દ્ધતે, તસ્ય યત્ કિઞ્ચનાસ્તે, તદપિ તસ્માદ્ આદાયિષ્યતે|
13 For this reason, in parables, unto them, do I speak, —because, seeing, they see not, and, hearing, they hear not, —neither do they understand.
તે પશ્યન્તોપિ ન પશ્યન્તિ, શૃણ્વન્તોપિ ન શૃણ્વન્તિ, બુધ્યમાના અપિ ન બુધ્યન્તે ચ, તસ્માત્ તેભ્યો દૃષ્ટાન્તકથા કથ્યતે|
14 And, again is being fulfilled in them, the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, —They shall, surely hear, and yet will not understand, and, surely see, and yet not perceive;
યથા કર્ણૈઃ શ્રોષ્યથ યૂયં વૈ કિન્તુ યૂયં ન ભોત્સ્યથ| નેત્રૈર્દ્રક્ષ્યથ યૂયઞ્ચ પરિજ્ઞાતું ન શક્ષ્યથ| તે માનુષા યથા નૈવ પરિપશ્યન્તિ લોચનૈઃ| કર્ણૈ ર્યથા ન શૃણ્વન્તિ ન બુધ્યન્તે ચ માનસૈઃ| વ્યાવર્ત્તિતેષુ ચિત્તેષુ કાલે કુત્રાપિ તૈર્જનૈઃ| મત્તસ્તે મનુજાઃ સ્વસ્થા યથા નૈવ ભવન્તિ ચ| તથા તેષાં મનુષ્યાણાં ક્રિયન્તે સ્થૂલબુદ્ધયઃ| બધિરીભૂતકર્ણાશ્ચ જાતાશ્ચ મુદ્રિતા દૃશઃ|
15 For the heart of this people hath become dense, and, with their ears, heavily have they heard, and, their eyes, have they closed, —lest, once they should see with their eyes, and, with their ears, should hear, and, with their hearts, should understand, and return; when I would certainly heal them.
યદેતાનિ વચનાનિ યિશયિયભવિષ્યદ્વાદિના પ્રોક્તાનિ તેષુ તાનિ ફલન્તિ|
16 But happy are, your, eyes, that they see, and your ears, that they hear;
કિન્તુ યુષ્માકં નયનાનિ ધન્યાનિ, યસ્માત્ તાનિ વીક્ષન્તે; ધન્યાશ્ચ યુષ્માકં શબ્દગ્રહાઃ, યસ્માત્ તૈરાકર્ણ્યતે|
17 For, verily, I say unto you—Many prophets and righteous men, have coveted to see what ye see, and have not seen, and to hear what ye hear, and have not heard.
મયા યૂયં તથ્યં વચામિ યુષ્માભિ ર્યદ્યદ્ વીક્ષ્યતે, તદ્ બહવો ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનો ધાર્મ્મિકાશ્ચ માનવા દિદૃક્ષન્તોપિ દ્રષ્ટું નાલભન્ત, પુનશ્ચ યૂયં યદ્યત્ શૃણુથ, તત્ તે શુશ્રૂષમાણા અપિ શ્રોતું નાલભન્ત|
18 Hear, ye, then, the parable of him that sowed: —
કૃષીવલીયદૃષ્ટાન્તસ્યાર્થં શૃણુત|
19 When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth up that which hath been sown in his heart, —this, is he, by the pathway, sown.
માર્ગપાર્શ્વે બીજાન્યુપ્તાનિ તસ્યાર્થ એષઃ, યદા કશ્ચિત્ રાજ્યસ્ય કથાં નિશમ્ય ન બુધ્યતે, તદા પાપાત્માગત્ય તદીયમનસ ઉપ્તાં કથાં હરન્ નયતિ|
20 And, he on the rocky places sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, and, straightway, with joy, receiveth it;
અપરં પાષાણસ્થલે બીજાન્યુપ્તાનિ તસ્યાર્થ એષઃ; કશ્ચિત્ કથાં શ્રુત્વૈવ હર્ષચિત્તેન ગૃહ્લાતિ,
21 yet hath he no root in himself, but is, only for a season, —and, there arising, tribulation or persecution because of the word, straightway, he findeth cause of stumbling.
કિન્તુ તસ્ય મનસિ મૂલાપ્રવિષ્ટત્વાત્ સ કિઞ્ચિત્કાલમાત્રં સ્થિરસ્તિષ્ઠતિ; પશ્ચાત તત્કથાકારણાત્ કોપિ ક્લેસ્તાડના વા ચેત્ જાયતે, તર્હિ સ તત્ક્ષણાદ્ વિઘ્નમેતિ|
22 And, he among the thorns sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, —and, the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh. (aiōn g165)
અપરં કણ્ટકાનાં મધ્યે બીજાન્યુપ્તાનિ તદર્થ એષઃ; કેનચિત્ કથાયાં શ્રુતાયાં સાંસારિકચિન્તાભિ ર્ભ્રાન્તિભિશ્ચ સા ગ્રસ્યતે, તેન સા મા વિફલા ભવતિ| (aiōn g165)
23 But, he on the good ground sown, the same, is he who doth hear and understand the word, who, indeed, beareth fruit and produceth, —this, a hundred, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
અપરમ્ ઉર્વ્વરાયાં બીજાન્યુપ્તાનિ તદર્થ એષઃ; યે તાં કથાં શ્રુત્વા વુધ્યન્તે, તે ફલિતાઃ સન્તઃ કેચિત્ શતગુણાનિ કેચિત ષષ્ટિગુણાનિ કેચિચ્ચ ત્રિંશદ્ગુણાનિ ફલાનિ જનયન્તિ|
24 Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens hath become like a man sowing good seed in his field;
અનન્તરં સોપરામેકાં દૃષ્ટાન્તકથામુપસ્થાપ્ય તેભ્યઃ કથયામાસ; સ્વર્ગીયરાજ્યં તાદૃશેન કેનચિદ્ ગૃહસ્થેનોપમીયતે, યેન સ્વીયક્ષેત્રે પ્રશસ્તબીજાન્યૌપ્યન્ત|
25 and, while men were sleeping, his enemy came, and sowed over darnel, in among the wheat, —and away he went.
કિન્તુ ક્ષણદાયાં સકલલોકેષુ સુપ્તેષુ તસ્ય રિપુરાગત્ય તેષાં ગોધૂમબીજાનાં મધ્યે વન્યયવમબીજાન્યુપ્ત્વા વવ્રાજ|
26 And, when the blade shot up, and brought forth, fruit, then, appeared, the darnel also.
તતો યદા બીજેભ્યોઽઙ્કરા જાયમાનાઃ કણિશાનિ ઘૃતવન્તઃ; તદા વન્યયવસાન્યપિ દૃશ્યમાનાન્યભવન્|
27 And the servants of the householder, coming near, said to him, —Sir! was it not, good seed, thou didst sow in thy field? Whence then hath it, darnel?
તતો ગૃહસ્થસ્ય દાસેયા આગમ્ય તસ્મૈ કથયાઞ્ચક્રુઃ, હે મહેચ્છ, ભવતા કિં ક્ષેત્રે ભદ્રબીજાનિ નૌપ્યન્ત? તથાત્વે વન્યયવસાનિ કૃત આયન્?
28 And he said unto them—An enemy, hath, done this. And they say, unto him—Wilt thou, then, that we go and collect it?
તદાનીં તેન તે પ્રતિગદિતાઃ, કેનચિત્ રિપુણા કર્મ્મદમકારિ| દાસેયાઃ કથયામાસુઃ, વયં ગત્વા તાન્યુત્પાય્ય ક્ષિપામો ભવતઃ કીદૃશીચ્છા જાયતે?
29 And, he, saith—Nay! lest, at any time, while collecting the darnel, ye uproot, along with it, the wheat:
તેનાવાદિ, નહિ, શઙ્કેઽહં વન્યયવસોત્પાટનકાલે યુષ્માભિસ્તૈઃ સાકં ગોધૂમા અપ્યુત્પાટિષ્યન્તે|
30 Suffer both to grow together until the harvest, and at, harvest time, I will say unto the reapers, —Collect ye first, the darnel, and bind it into bundles, with a view to the burning it up; but, the wheat, be gathering it into my barn.
અતઃ શ્સ્યકર્ત્તનકાલં યાવદ્ ઉભયાન્યપિ સહ વર્દ્ધન્તાં, પશ્ચાત્ કર્ત્તનકાલે કર્ત્તકાન્ વક્ષ્યામિ, યૂયમાદૌ વન્યયવસાનિ સંગૃહ્ય દાહયિતું વીટિકા બદ્વ્વા સ્થાપયત; કિન્તુ સર્વ્વે ગોધૂમા યુષ્માભિ ર્ભાણ્ડાગારં નીત્વા સ્થાપ્યન્તામ્|
31 Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
અનન્તરં સોપરામેકાં દૃષ્ટાન્તકથામુત્થાપ્ય તેભ્યઃ કથિતવાન્ કશ્ચિન્મનુજઃ સર્ષપબીજમેકં નીત્વા સ્વક્ષેત્ર ઉવાપ|
32 which, indeed, is, less, than all seeds, but, when grown, is greater than garden-plants, and becometh a tree, —so that the birds of heaven come, and lodge among its branches.
સર્ષપબીજં સર્વ્વસ્માદ્ બીજાત્ ક્ષુદ્રમપિ સદઙ્કુરિતં સર્વ્વસ્માત્ શાકાત્ બૃહદ્ ભવતિ; સ તાદૃશસ્તરુ ર્ભવતિ, યસ્ય શાખાસુ નભસઃ ખગા આગત્ય નિવસન્તિ; સ્વર્ગીયરાજ્યં તાદૃશસ્ય સર્ષપૈકસ્ય સમમ્|
33 Another parable, [spake he unto them]: —The kingdom of the heavens is like, unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour until, the whole, was leavened.
પુનરપિ સ ઉપમાકથામેકાં તેભ્યઃ કથયાઞ્ચકાર; કાચન યોષિત્ યત્ કિણ્વમાદાય દ્રોણત્રયમિતગોધૂમચૂર્ણાનાં મધ્યે સર્વ્વેષાં મિશ્રીભવનપર્ય્યન્તં સમાચ્છાદ્ય નિધત્તવતી, તત્કિણ્વમિવ સ્વર્ગરાજ્યં|
34 All these things, spake Jesus in parables, unto the multitudes, and, without a parable, was he speaking, nothing, unto them:
ઇત્થં યીશુ ર્મનુજનિવહાનાં સન્નિધાવુપમાકથાભિરેતાન્યાખ્યાનાનિ કથિતવાન્ ઉપમાં વિના તેભ્યઃ કિમપિ કથાં નાકથયત્|
35 that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through the prophet, saying—I will open, in parables, my mouth, I will bring up things hidden from the foundation!
એતેન દૃષ્ટાન્તીયેન વાક્યેન વ્યાદાય વદનં નિજં| અહં પ્રકાશયિષ્યામિ ગુપ્તવાક્યં પુરાભવં| યદેતદ્વચનં ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિના પ્રોક્તમાસીત્, તત્ સિદ્ધમભવત્|
36 Then, dismissing the multitudes, he went into the house, and his disciples came near to him, saying—Make quite plain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
સર્વ્વાન્ મનુજાન્ વિસૃજ્ય યીશૌ ગૃહં પ્રવિષ્ટે તચ્છિષ્યા આગત્ય યીશવે કથિતવન્તઃ, ક્ષેત્રસ્ય વન્યયવસીયદૃષ્ટાન્તકથામ્ ભવાન અસ્માન્ સ્પષ્ટીકૃત્ય વદતુ|
37 And, he, answering, said—He that soweth the good seed, is the Son of Man;
તતઃ સ પ્રત્યુવાચ, યેન ભદ્રબીજાન્યુપ્યન્તે સ મનુજપુત્રઃ,
38 And, the field, is the world, and, the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, —and, the darnel seeds, are the sons of the evil one;
ક્ષેત્રં જગત્, ભદ્રબીજાની રાજ્યસ્ય સન્તાનાઃ,
39 And, the enemy that sowed them, is the adversary, and, the harvest, is, the conclusion of an age, and, the reapers, are, messengers. (aiōn g165)
વન્યયવસાનિ પાપાત્મનઃ સન્તાનાઃ| યેન રિપુણા તાન્યુપ્તાનિ સ શયતાનઃ, કર્ત્તનસમયશ્ચ જગતઃ શેષઃ, કર્ત્તકાઃ સ્વર્ગીયદૂતાઃ| (aiōn g165)
40 Just, therefore, as collected is the darnel, and, with fire is burned, so, will it be in the conclusion of the age: — (aiōn g165)
યથા વન્યયવસાનિ સંગૃહ્ય દાહ્યન્તે, તથા જગતઃ શેષે ભવિષ્યતિ; (aiōn g165)
41 The Son of Man will send forth his messengers, and they will collect, out of his kingdom, all the causes of stumbling, and the doers of lawlessness,
અર્થાત્ મનુજસુતઃ સ્વાંયદૂતાન્ પ્રેષયિષ્યતિ, તેન તે ચ તસ્ય રાજ્યાત્ સર્વ્વાન્ વિઘ્નકારિણોઽધાર્મ્મિકલોકાંશ્ચ સંગૃહ્ય
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
યત્ર રોદનં દન્તઘર્ષણઞ્ચ ભવતિ, તત્રાગ્નિકુણ્ડે નિક્ષેપ્સ્યન્તિ|
43 Then, the righteous, will shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear!
તદાનીં ધાર્મ્મિકલોકાઃ સ્વેષાં પિતૂ રાજ્યે ભાસ્કરઇવ તેજસ્વિનો ભવિષ્યન્તિ| શ્રોતું યસ્ય શ્રુતી આસાતે, મ શૃણુયાત્|
44 The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a treasure hid in the field, which a man, finding, hid, —and, by reason of his joy, withdraweth and selleth whatsoever he hath, and buyeth that field.
અપરઞ્ચ ક્ષેત્રમધ્યે નિધિં પશ્યન્ યો ગોપયતિ, તતઃ પરં સાનન્દો ગત્વા સ્વીયસર્વ્વસ્વં વિક્રીય ત્તક્ષેત્રં ક્રીણાતિ, સ ઇવ સ્વર્ગરાજ્યં|
45 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is, like, unto, a merchant, seeking beautiful pearls, —
અન્યઞ્ચ યો વણિક્ ઉત્તમાં મુક્તાં ગવેષયન્
46 and, finding one very precious pearl, departing, he at once sold all things, whatsoever he had, and bought it.
મહાર્ઘાં મુક્તાં વિલોક્ય નિજસર્વ્વસ્વં વિક્રીય તાં ક્રીણાતિ, સ ઇવ સ્વર્ગરાજ્યં|
47 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a large drag-net, cast into the sea and gathering of every kind, —
પુનશ્ચ સમુદ્રો નિક્ષિપ્તઃ સર્વ્વપ્રકારમીનસંગ્રાહ્યાનાયઇવ સ્વર્ગરાજ્યં|
48 which, when it was filled, they dragged up on the beach, and, sitting down, collected the good into vessels, but, the worthless, forth they cast.
તસ્મિન્ આનાયે પૂર્ણે જના યથા રોધસ્યુત્તોલ્ય સમુપવિશ્ય પ્રશસ્તમીનાન્ સંગ્રહ્ય ભાજનેષુ નિદધતે, કુત્સિતાન્ નિક્ષિપન્તિ;
49 So, will it be in the conclusion of the age: The messengers will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous; (aiōn g165)
તથૈવ જગતઃ શેષે ભવિષ્યતિ, ફલતઃ સ્વર્ગીયદૂતા આગત્ય પુણ્યવજ્જનાનાં મધ્યાત્ પાપિનઃ પૃથક્ કૃત્વા વહ્નિકુણ્ડે નિક્ષેપ્સ્યન્તિ, (aiōn g165)
50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
તત્ર રોદનં દન્તૈ ર્દન્તઘર્ષણઞ્ચ ભવિષ્યતઃ|
51 Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea!
યીશુના તે પૃષ્ટા યુષ્માભિઃ કિમેતાન્યાખ્યાનાન્યબુધ્યન્ત? તદા તે પ્રત્યવદન્, સત્યં પ્રભો|
52 And, he, said unto them—Wherefore, every scribe, discipled unto the kingdom of the heavens, is like unto a householder, who putteth forth out of his treasure, things new and old.
તદાનીં સ કથિતવાન્, નિજભાણ્ડાગારાત્ નવીનપુરાતનાનિ વસ્તૂનિ નિર્ગમયતિ યો ગૃહસ્થઃ સ ઇવ સ્વર્ગરાજ્યમધિ શિક્ષિતાઃ સ્વર્વ ઉપદેષ્ટારઃ|
53 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he removed from thence;
અનન્તરં યીશુરેતાઃ સર્વ્વા દૃષ્ટાન્તકથાઃ સમાપ્ય તસ્માત્ સ્થાનાત્ પ્રતસ્થે| અપરં સ્વદેશમાગત્ય જનાન્ ભજનભવન ઉપદિષ્ટવાન્;
54 and, coming into his own city, began teaching them in their synagogue, so that with astonishment were they being struck, and were saying—Whence, hath, this one, this wisdom, and the mighty works?
તે વિસ્મયં ગત્વા કથિતવન્ત એતસ્યૈતાદૃશં જ્ઞાનમ્ આશ્ચર્ય્યં કર્મ્મ ચ કસ્માદ્ અજાયત?
55 Is not, this one, the carpenter’s, son? Is not, his mother, called Mary, and are not his brethren—James and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
કિમયં સૂત્રધારસ્ય પુત્રો નહિ? એતસ્ય માતુ ર્નામ ચ કિં મરિયમ્ નહિ? યાકુબ્-યૂષફ્-શિમોન્-યિહૂદાશ્ચ કિમેતસ્ય ભ્રાતરો નહિ?
56 and, his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence, then hath, this one, all these things?
એતસ્ય ભગિન્યશ્ચ કિમસ્માકં મધ્યે ન સન્તિ? તર્હિ કસ્માદયમેતાનિ લબ્ધવાન્? ઇત્થં સ તેષાં વિઘ્નરૂપો બભૂવ;
57 And they began to find cause of stumbling in him. But, Jesus, said unto them—A prophet is not without honour, save in his city, and in his house.
તતો યીશુના નિગદિતં સ્વદેશીયજનાનાં મધ્યં વિના ભવિષ્યદ્વાદી કુત્રાપ્યન્યત્ર નાસમ્માન્યો ભવતી|
58 And he did not, there, many mighty works, because of their unbelief.
તેષામવિશ્વાસહેતોઃ સ તત્ર સ્થાને બહ્વાશ્ચર્ય્યકર્મ્માણિ ન કૃતવાન્|
