Matthew 13
1 On that day, Jesus, going out of the house, was sitting near the sea:

2 and there were gathered unto him, large multitudes, so that, he, into a boat, entered, and was sitting, and, all the multitude, on the beach was standing.

3 And he spake unto them many things, in parables, saying: Lo! the sower went forth to sow, —
Ary nilaza zavatra maro taminy tamin’ ny fanoharana Izy ka nanao hoe: Indro, nivoaka ny mpamafy mba hamafy;
4 and, as he sowed, some, indeed, fell by the pathway, and, the birds, came, and devoured it;
ary raha namafy izy, ny sasany dia voafafy teny amoron-dalana; dia avy ny vorona ka nandany azy.
5 And, some, fell on the rocky places, where it had not much earth, —and, straightway, it sprang up, because if had no depth of earth;
Ary ny sasany dia voafafy teny amin’ ny tany marivo ambony vatolampy; dia nalaky nitrebona ireny, satria tsy nisy tany lalina.
6 and, the sun arising, it was scorched, and, because it had no root, it withered away;
Fa rehefa niposaka ny masoandro, dia nalazo ireny, ary satria tsy nanam-paka, dia maty izy.
7 And, some, fell upon the thorns, and the thorns came up, and choked it;
Ary ny sasany dia voafafy teny amin’ ny tsilo; ary ny tsilo naniry ka nangeja azy.
8 But, some, fell upon the good ground, and did yield fruit, —this, indeed a hundred fold, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
Ary ny sasany dia voafafy teny amin’ ny tany tsara, dia namoa: ny sasany avy zato heny, ary ny sasany avy enim-polo heny, ary ny sasany avy telo-polo heny.
9 He that hath ears, let him hear.
Izay manan-tsofina, aoka izy hihaino.
10 And the disciples, coming near, said to him, Wherefore, in parables, art thou speaking to them?
Ary dia nanatona ny mpianany ka nanao taminy hoe: Nahoana no fanoharana no itenenanao aminy?
11 And, he, answering, said, Because, unto you, hath it been given, to get to know the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, —whereas, unto them, hath it not been given.
Ary namaly Izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Satria ianareo no navela hahalala ny zava-miafina ny amin’ ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra, fa ireny kosa tsy mba navela.
12 For, whosoever hath, it shall be given, to him, and he shall be made to abound, —but, whoever hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken from him?
Fa izay manana no homena, ka hanana be dia be izy; fa izay tsy manana kosa, na izay ananany aza dia hesorina aminy.
13 For this reason, in parables, unto them, do I speak, —because, seeing, they see not, and, hearing, they hear not, —neither do they understand.
Ary noho izany dia fanoharana no itenenako aminy: satria mijery izy, fa tsy mahita; ary mandre izy, fa tsy mihaino, na mahalala.
14 And, again is being fulfilled in them, the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, —They shall, surely hear, and yet will not understand, and, surely see, and yet not perceive;
Dia tanteraka aminy ny faminanian’ Isaia, izay manao hoe: Handre mandrakariva ihany ianareo, fa tsy hahafantatra: Ary hijery mandrakariva ihany ianareo, fa tsy hahita;
15 For the heart of this people hath become dense, and, with their ears, heavily have they heard, and, their eyes, have they closed, —lest, once they should see with their eyes, and, with their ears, should hear, and, with their hearts, should understand, and return; when I would certainly heal them.
Fa efa adala ny fon’ izao olona izao. Ary efa lalodalovana ny sofiny, Ary efa nakimpiny ny masony, Fandrao hahita ny masony, Sy handre ny sofiny, Ka hahalala ny fony, Dia hibebaka izy, Ka hahasitrana azy Aho.
16 But happy are, your, eyes, that they see, and your ears, that they hear;
Fa sambatra ny masonareo, fa mahita, ary ny sofinareo, fa mandre.
17 For, verily, I say unto you—Many prophets and righteous men, have coveted to see what ye see, and have not seen, and to hear what ye hear, and have not heard.
Fa lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa fa maro ny mpaminany sy ny olona marina naniry hahita izay hitanareo, nefa tsy mba nahita; ary naniry handre izay renareo, nefa tsy mba nandre.
18 Hear, ye, then, the parable of him that sowed: —
Koa amin’ izany dia henoinareo ny fanoharana ny amin’ ny mpamafy:
19 When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth up that which hath been sown in his heart, —this, is he, by the pathway, sown.
Raha misy mandre ny tenin’ ny fanjakana, fa tsy mahalala, dia avy ilay ratsy ka manaisotra izay nafafy tao am-pony. Dia izany no ilay nafafy teny amoron-dalana.
20 And, he on the rocky places sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, and, straightway, with joy, receiveth it;

21 yet hath he no root in himself, but is, only for a season, —and, there arising, tribulation or persecution because of the word, straightway, he findeth cause of stumbling.
nefa tsy manam-paka ao anatiny izy, fa maharitra vetivety foana; koa raha avy izay fahoriana na fanenjehana noho ny teny, dia malaky tafintohina izy.
22 And, he among the thorns sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, —and, the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh. (aiōn g165)

23 But, he on the good ground sown, the same, is he who doth hear and understand the word, who, indeed, beareth fruit and produceth, —this, a hundred, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
Fa ilay nafafy teny amin’ ny tany tsara kosa dia izay mandre ny teny ka mahalala; dia izy no mamoa ka vokatra: ny sasany avy zato heny ary ny sasany avy enim-polo heny, ary ny sasany avy telo-polo heny.
24 Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens hath become like a man sowing good seed in his field;
Ary nanao fanoharana hafa koa taminy Izy ka nanao hoe: Ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny lehilahy anankiray izay namafy voa tsara tany an-tanimbariny;
25 and, while men were sleeping, his enemy came, and sowed over darnel, in among the wheat, —and away he went.
fa raha natory ny olona, dia avy ny fahavalony ka namafy voan-tsimparifary teny amin’ ny vary, dia lasa nandeha.
26 And, when the blade shot up, and brought forth, fruit, then, appeared, the darnel also.
Ary rehefa naniry ny vary ka niteraka dia niposaka koa ny tsimparifary.
27 And the servants of the householder, coming near, said to him, —Sir! was it not, good seed, thou didst sow in thy field? Whence then hath it, darnel?
Dia avy ny mpanompon-dralehilahy ka nanao taminy hoe: Tompoko, tsy voa tsara va no nafafinao tany an-tanimbarinao? koa avy taiza kosa ny tsimparifary? Dia hoy izy taminy:
28 And he said unto them—An enemy, hath, done this. And they say, unto him—Wilt thou, then, that we go and collect it?
Fahavalo no nanao izany. Ary ny mpanompony nanao taminy hoe: Koa tianao va handehananay hanongotra sy hanangona azy?
29 And, he, saith—Nay! lest, at any time, while collecting the darnel, ye uproot, along with it, the wheat:
Fa hoy izy: Tsia, fandrao, raha manongotra ny tsimparifary ianareo, dia hongotanareo miaraka aminy koa ny vary.
30 Suffer both to grow together until the harvest, and at, harvest time, I will say unto the reapers, —Collect ye first, the darnel, and bind it into bundles, with a view to the burning it up; but, the wheat, be gathering it into my barn.
Aoka ihany hiara-maniry izy roroa ambara-pihavin’ ny fararano; ary amin’ ny fararano dia holazaiko amin’ ny mpijinja hoe: Angony aloha ny tsimparifary, ka ataovy amboarany mba hodorana; fa ny vary dia taomy ho any an-tsompitro.
31 Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
Ary nanao fanoharana hafa koa taminy Izy ka nanao hoe: Ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny voan-tsinapy izay nalain’ olona ka nafafiny tany an-tsahany;
32 which, indeed, is, less, than all seeds, but, when grown, is greater than garden-plants, and becometh a tree, —so that the birds of heaven come, and lodge among its branches.
fa kely noho ny voa rehetra izy, kanefa rehefa maniry, dia lehibe noho ny anana ka tonga hazo, dia avy ny voro-manidina ka mitoetra ao amin’ ny rantsany.
33 Another parable, [spake he unto them]: —The kingdom of the heavens is like, unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour until, the whole, was leavened.
Ary nanao fanoharana hafa koa taminy Izy hoe: Ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny masirasira, izay nalain’ ny vehivavy anankiray ka nataony tao amin’ ny koba intelon’ ny famarana, mandra-pahazon’ ny masirasira azy rehetra.
34 All these things, spake Jesus in parables, unto the multitudes, and, without a parable, was he speaking, nothing, unto them:
Fanoharana no nilazan’ i Jesosy izany zavatra rehetra izany tamin’ ny vahoaka, ary tsy nisy nolazainy taminy, afa-tsy tamin’ ny fanoharana,
35 that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through the prophet, saying—I will open, in parables, my mouth, I will bring up things hidden from the foundation!
mba hahatanteraka izay nampilazaina ny mpaminany hoe: Hiloa-bava hilaza fanoharana Aho; Hanambara zavatra izay nafenina hatrizay nanorenana izao tontolo izao Aho.
36 Then, dismissing the multitudes, he went into the house, and his disciples came near to him, saying—Make quite plain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
Ary rehefa nampody ny vahoaka Jesosy, dia niditra tao an-trano Izy, ary ny mpianany nankao aminy ka nanao hoe: Lazao aminay ny hevitry ny fanoharana ny amin’ ny tsimparifary tany an-tanimbary.
37 And, he, answering, said—He that soweth the good seed, is the Son of Man;
Ary namaly Izy ka nanao hoe: Ny mpamafy ny voa tsara dia ny Zanak’ olona;
38 And, the field, is the world, and, the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, —and, the darnel seeds, are the sons of the evil one;
ny tanimbary dia izao tontolo izao; ny voa tsara dia ny zanaky ny fanjakana; ny tsimparifary dia ny zanak’ ilay ratsy;
39 And, the enemy that sowed them, is the adversary, and, the harvest, is, the conclusion of an age, and, the reapers, are, messengers. (aiōn g165)

40 Just, therefore, as collected is the darnel, and, with fire is burned, so, will it be in the conclusion of the age: — (aiōn g165)
Koa tahaka ny anangonana ny tsimparifary sy andoroana azy amin’ ny afo, dia toy izany no hatao amin’ ny fahataperan’ izao tontolo izao. (aiōn g165)
41 The Son of Man will send forth his messengers, and they will collect, out of his kingdom, all the causes of stumbling, and the doers of lawlessness,
Ny Zanak’ olona haniraka ny anjeliny, ary ireny dia hanangona ka hamoaka amin’ ny fanjakany ny zavatra mahatafintohina rehetra mbamin’ izay manao meloka,
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
dia hanipy azy any amin’ ny fandoroana lehibe mirehitra afo izy; any no hisy ny fitomaniana sy ny fikitroha-nify.
43 Then, the righteous, will shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear!
Ary amin’ izany ny marina dia hamirapiratra tahaka ny masoandro any amin’ ny fanjakan’ ny Rainy. Izay manan-tsofina, aoka izy hihaino.
44 The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a treasure hid in the field, which a man, finding, hid, —and, by reason of his joy, withdraweth and selleth whatsoever he hath, and buyeth that field.
Ary ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny harena nafenina tany an-tsaha, izay hitan’ olona, ka dia nafeniny; ary noho ny hafaliany dia lasa nandeha izy ka nivarotra ny fananany rehetra, dia nividy izany saha izany.
45 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is, like, unto, a merchant, seeking beautiful pearls, —
Ary koa, ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny mpandranto anankiray izay nikatsaka vato soa;
46 and, finding one very precious pearl, departing, he at once sold all things, whatsoever he had, and bought it.
ary rehefa nahita vato soa iray saro-bidy izy, dia lasa nivarotra ny fananany rehetra ka nividy azy.
47 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a large drag-net, cast into the sea and gathering of every kind, —
Ary koa, ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia tahaka ny harato-tarihina, izay nalatsaka tao amin’ ny ranomasina ka nahavory ny samy hafa karazana rehetra;
48 which, when it was filled, they dragged up on the beach, and, sitting down, collected the good into vessels, but, the worthless, forth they cast.

49 So, will it be in the conclusion of the age: The messengers will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous; (aiōn g165)

50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea!
Efa azonareo va izany rehetra izany? Hoy ireo taminy: Eny.
52 And, he, said unto them—Wherefore, every scribe, discipled unto the kingdom of the heavens, is like unto a householder, who putteth forth out of his treasure, things new and old.
Dia hoy Izy taminy: Koa amin’ izany ary ny mpanora-dalàna rehetra izay nampianarina ho amin’ ny fanjakan’ ny lanitra dia samy tahaka ny tompon-trano, izay mamoaka avy amin’ ny firaketany zava-baovao sy ela.
53 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he removed from thence;

54 and, coming into his own city, began teaching them in their synagogue, so that with astonishment were they being struck, and were saying—Whence, hath, this one, this wisdom, and the mighty works?

55 Is not, this one, the carpenter’s, son? Is not, his mother, called Mary, and are not his brethren—James and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
Tsy Ilehity va ilay Zanaky ny mpandrafitra? Tsy Maria va no anaran’ ny reniny? Ary tsy Jakoba sy Josefa sy Simona ary Jodasy va no rahalahiny?
56 and, his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence, then hath, this one, all these things?
Ary ny anabaviny, moa tsy eto amintsika avokoa va izy? Koa avy taiza no nahazoan’ ilehity izany zavatra rehetra izany?
57 And they began to find cause of stumbling in him. But, Jesus, said unto them—A prophet is not without honour, save in his city, and in his house.
Ary tafintohina taminy izy. Fa hoy Jesosy taminy: Tsy misy mpaminany tsy hajaina, afa-tsy amin’ ny taniny sy ny mpianakaviny ihany.
58 And he did not, there, many mighty works, because of their unbelief.
Ary tsy nanao asa lehibe maro teo Izy noho ny tsi-finoan’ ireo.
