Matthew 12
1 In that season, went Jesus, on, the sabbath, through the cornfields, —and, his disciples, hungered, and began to pluck ears of corn, and to eat.
१त्यावेळी एका शब्बाथ दिवशी येशू धान्याच्या शेतामधून चालला होता. शिष्याना भूक लागली होती, म्हणून ते कणसे मोडून खाऊ लागले.
2 But, the Pharisees, observing it, said unto him, Lo! thy disciples, are doing what is not allowed to do, on sabbath.
२जेव्हा परूश्यांनी हे पाहिले, तेव्हा ते येशूला म्हणाले, “पाहा, तुमचे शिष्य शब्बाथ दिवशी जे करू नये ते करीत आहेत.”
3 And he said unto them, have ye never read what, David, did, when he hungered, and they who were with him? how
३तेव्हा येशूने त्यांना म्हटले, दाविदाला व त्याच्याबरोबरच्या मनुष्यांना भूक लागली तेव्हा त्याने काय केले, हे तुम्ही कधी वाचले नाही काय?
4 he entered into the house of God and, the presence-bread, did eat, which it was not, allowable, for him to eat, nor for them who were with him, —save for the priests, alone?
४तो देवाच्या भवनात कसा गेला आणि ज्या समर्पित भाकरी त्याने व त्याच्याबरोबरच्या लोकांनी खाऊ नयेत, असे करणे नियमशास्त्राच्या विरूद्ध होते. फक्त याजकांनाच ती भाकर खाण्याची परवानगी होती. त्या त्यांनी कशा खाल्ल्या?
5 Or have ye not read, in the law, that, on the sabbaths, the priests, in the temple, the sabbath, profane, and are, blameless?
५आणि प्रत्येक शब्बाथाच्या दिवशी परमेश्वराच्या भवनातील याजक भवनात शब्बाथ पवित्र पाळण्याविषयीचा नियम मोडीत असत हे तुम्ही नियमशास्त्रात वाचले नाही काय? परंतु तरी ते निर्दोष असत.
6 But I say unto you, —Something greater than the Temple, is here!
६मी तुम्हास सांगतो की, परमेश्वराच्या भवनापेक्षा महान असा कोणीतरी येथे आहे.
7 If, however, ye had known what this meaneth—Mercy, I desire, and not, sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the blameless;
७पवित्र शास्त्र म्हणते, मला दया हवी आहे आणि यज्ञ पशू नको. याचा खरा अर्थ तुम्हास समजला असता तर तुम्ही या निर्दोष लोकांस दोष लावला नसता.
8 For, the Son of Man, is, Lord of the Sabbath.
८कारण मनुष्याचा पुत्र शब्बाथाचा धनी आहे.
9 And, passing on from thence, he came into their synagogue;
९नंतर येशूने ते ठिकाण सोडले व यहूद्यांच्या सभास्थानात तो गेला.
10 and lo! a man having, a withered hand, and they questioned him, saying, Is it allowable, on the sabbath, to heal? that they might accuse him.
१०सभास्थानात हात वाळलेला एक मनुष्य होता. काही यहूद्यांनी येशूवर काही दोषारोप करता यावा या हेतूने त्यास विचारला, “शब्बाथ दिवशी रोग बरे करणे योग्य आहे काय?”
11 And said unto them, What man, from among yourselves, [shall there be], —Who shall have one sheep, and, if this should fall, on the sabbath, into a pit, will not lay hold of it, and raise it?
११येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “जर तुमच्यापैकी एखाद्याकडे मेंढरू असले व शब्बाथ दिवशी ते खड्ड्यात पडले, तर तो त्यास वर काढणार नाही काय?
12 How much better, then, a man, than, a sheep? So that it is allowable, on the sabbath, nobly, to act.
१२तर मग मनुष्य मेंढरापेक्षा कितीतरी अधिक मौल्यवान आहे. म्हणून नियमशास्त्र लोकांस शब्बाथ दिवशी चांगले करण्याची मोकळीक देते.”
13 Then saith he unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand! And he stretched it forth, —and it was restored, whole, as the other.
१३मग येशू त्या वाळलेल्या हाताच्या मनुष्यास म्हणाला, “तुझा हात पुढे सरळ कर.” त्या मनुष्याने हात लांब केला व तो हात बरा झाला आणि दुसऱ्या हातासारखाच चांगला झाला.
14 And the Pharisees, going forth, took, counsel, against him, to the end that, him, they might destroy.
१४नंतर परूश्यांनी बाहेर जाऊन त्यास कसे मारावे याविषयी मसलत केली.
15 But, Jesus, taking note, retired from thence, —and many followed him, and he cured them all;
१५परूशी काय करीत आहेत ते येशूला माहीत होते. म्हणून येशू तेथून गेला. पुष्कळ लोक येशूच्या मागे निघाले व त्याने जे कोणी रोगी होते, त्या सर्वांना बरे केले.
16 and straitly charged them, lest they should make him, manifest:
१६आणि त्याने त्यांना निक्षून सांगितले की, तो कोण आहे, हे इतरांना सांगू नका.
17 that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: —
१७यशया संदेष्ट्याच्याद्वारे जे सांगितले गेले होते ते पूर्ण होण्यासाठी त्याने असे म्हटले.
18 Lo! my servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom, my soul, delighteth, —I will put my Spirit upon him, and, justice, unto the nations, will he report:
१८“हा माझा सेवक, याला मी निवडले आहे. मी त्याजवर प्रीती करतो आणि त्याच्याविषयी माझा जीव संतुष्ट वाटतो. मी आपला आत्मा त्याच्यावर ठेवीन, आणि तो परराष्ट्रीय लोकांस योग्य न्यायाची घोषणा करील.
19 He will not strive, nor will he cry out, nor shall any hear, in the broadways, his voice:
१९तो वाद घालणार नाही किंवा ओरडणार नाही, रस्त्यावर लोक त्याचा आवाज ऐकणार नाहीत.
20 A bruised cane, will he not break, and, a smoking wick, will he not quench, —until he urge on, justice, to victory,
२०वाकलेला बोरू तो मोडणार नाही आणि मंदावलेली वात तो विझवणार नाही. न्याय विजयास होईपर्यंत तो असे करील.
21 And, in his name, shall nations hope.
२१परराष्ट्रीय लोक त्याच्यावर आशा ठेवतील. येशूचे सामर्थ्य देवाकडून आहे.”
22 Then they brought unto him, one demonized, blind and dumb, —and he cured him, so that the dumb did speak and see.
२२मग काही मनुष्यांनी एकाला येशूकडे आणले. तो मनुष्य आंधळा व मुका होता व त्याच्यामध्ये भूत होते. येशूने त्या मनुष्यास बरे केले व तो बोलू लागला व पाहू लागला.
23 And all the multitudes were beside themselves, and were saying, Can, this one, be, the Son of David?
२३सर्व लोक चकित झाले, ते म्हणाले, “हा दाविदाचा पुत्र असेल काय?”
24 But, the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This one, doth not cast out the demons, save in Beelzebul ruler of the demons.
२४परूश्यांनी लोकांस हे बोलताना ऐकले. परूशी म्हणाले, “भूते काढण्यासाठी येशू बालजबूलचे सामर्थ्य वापरतो आणि बालजबूल हा तर भूतांचा अधिपती आहे.”
25 And, knowing their inward thoughts, he said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself, is laid waste, —and, no city or house divided against itself, will stand;
२५परूशी कसला विचार करीत आहेत ते येशूला जाणवत होते. म्हणून येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “आपसात लढणारी राज्ये नाश पावतात व फूट पडलेले शहर किंवा घर टिकत नाही.
26 And, if, Satan, is casting, Satan, out, against himself, hath he become divided, —How then shall, his kingdom, stand?
२६आणि जर सैतानच सैतानला काढतो तर त्यांच्यात मतभेद आहे, त्यांच्यात फूट आहे मग त्याचे राज्य कसे टिकेल?
27 And, if, I, in Beelzebul, am casting out the demons, In whom are, your sons, casting them out? Wherefore, they, shall be, judges of you.
२७आणि मी जर बालजबूलाच्या सहाय्याने भूते काढतो तर तुमचे लोक कोणाच्या सामर्थ्याने भूते काढतात. म्हणून तुमचे स्वतःचे लोक तुमचा न्याय करतील.
28 But, if, in God’s Spirit, I, am casting out the demons, then doubtless hath come upon you unawares, the kingdom of God!
२८परंतु मी जर देवाच्या आत्म्याच्या साहाय्याने भूते काढतो तर देवाचे राज्य तुमच्यावर आले आहे.
29 Or how can one enter the house of the mighty and, seize his goods, unless, first, he bind the mighty one? and, then, his house, he will plunder.
२९किंवा एखाद्या बलवान मनुष्याच्या घरात शिरून, त्याच्या घरातील सर्व वस्तूची चोरी जर कोणाला करायची असेल तर प्रथम त्या बलवान मनुष्यास तो बांधून टाकील व मग तो चोरी करील.
30 He that is no with me, is, against me, —and, he that gathereth not with me, scattereth
३०जो मनुष्य माझ्याबरोबर काम करीत नाही तो माझ्याविरुद्ध आहे आणि जो माझ्याबरोबर गोळा करत नाही तो उधळून टाकतो.
31 Wherefore, I say unto you, All sin and profane speaking, shall be forgiven unto men, —but, the speaking profanely of the Spirit, shall not be forgiven;
३१म्हणून मी तुम्हास सांगतो, मनुष्यांना ते करीत असलेल्या सर्व पापांची व वाईट बोलतील त्याबद्दलही क्षमा करण्यात येईल पण जर कोणी पवित्र आत्म्याविरूद्ध बोलेल, तर त्यास क्षमा करण्यात येणार नाही.
32 And, whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him, —but, whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or the coming. (aiōn g165)
३२एखादा मनुष्य जर मनुष्याच्या पुत्राविरुद्ध काही बोलेल तर त्यास क्षमा करण्यात येईल पण जो कोणी पवित्र आत्म्याविरूद्ध बोलेल त्यास क्षमा होणार नाही. त्यास या युगातही क्षमा होणार नाही व येणाऱ्या युगातही होणार नाही. (aiōn g165)
33 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree worthless, and its fruit worthless; for, from the fruit, the tree is known.
३३झाड चांगले आणि त्याचे फळ चांगले असे म्हणा, अथवा झाड वाईट आणि त्याचे फळ वाईट असे म्हणा; कारण झाड त्याच्या फळावरून ओळखले जाते.
34 Broods of vipers! How can ye speak, good things, being, evil? For, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.
३४अहो सापाच्या पिल्लांनो, तुम्ही वाईट असता तुम्हास चांगल्या गोष्टी कशा बोलता येतील? जे अंतःकरणात आहे तेच तोंडावाटे बाहेर पडते.
35 The good man, out of the good treasure, putteth forth, good things; and, the evil man, out of the evil treasure, putteth forth, evil things.
३५चांगला मनुष्य आपल्या चांगल्या भांडारातून चांगल्या गोष्टी काढतो आणि वाईट मनुष्य आपल्या वाईट भांडारातून वाईट गोष्टी काढतो.
36 But I say unto you, That, every useless expression that men shall utter, they shall render, concerning it, an account, in a day of judgment;
३६आणखी मी तुम्हास सांगतो की. जो प्रत्येक व्यर्थ शब्द लोक बोलतील त्याचा हिशोब ते न्यायाच्या दिवशी देतील.
37 For, by thy words, shalt thou be, justified, and, by thy words, shalt thou be condemned.
३७कारण तू आपल्या बोलण्यावरून न्यायी ठरशील आणि आपल्या बोलण्यावरूनच दोषी ठरशील.”
38 Then, answered him, certain of the Scribes and Pharisees, saying, Teacher! we desire of thee, a sign, to behold.
३८काही नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक व परूशी यांच्यापैकी काहीजणांनी येशूला म्हटले, “गुरुजी, तुमच्या हातून एखादे चिन्ह पहावे अशी आमची इच्छा आहे.”
39 But, he, answering, said unto them, A wicked and adulterous generation, a sign, doth seek, and, a sign, will not be, given, it, save the sign of Jonah the prophet.
३९येशूने उत्तर दिले, “जे लोक देवाशी अप्रामाणिक आहेत, पापी आहेत असे लोक पुराव्यासाठी चमत्कार पाहू इच्छितात. पण योना संदेष्ट्याशिवाय दुसरे चिन्ह तुम्हास मिळणार नाही.
40 For, just as was Jonah in the belly of the sea-monster three days and three nights, so, will be the Son of Man, in the heart of the earth, three days and three nights.
४०कारण योना जसा तीन दिवस व तीन रात्री मोठ्या माशाच्या पोटात होता तसा मनुष्याचा पुत्र तीन दिवस व तीन रात्री पृथ्वीच्या पोटात राहील.
41 Men of Nineveh, will rise up in the judgment, with this generation, and will condemn it, —because they repented into the proclamation of Jonah; and lo! something greater than Jonah, here.
४१जेव्हा तुमच्या पिढीचा न्याय होईल, तेव्हा निनवे शहराचे लोक उभे राहतील, तुमच्याविरुध्द साक्ष देतील आणि तुम्हास दोष देतील कारण त्यांनी योनाच्या उपदेशावरून पश्चात्ताप केला आणि आता तर तुमच्यामध्ये योनापेक्षा महान असा कोणीएक येथे आहे.
42 The queen of the south, will arise in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it—because she came out of the ends of the earth, to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo! something greater than Solomon, here.
४२न्यायाच्या दिवशी दक्षिणेकडील देशाची राणी या पिढीबरोबर उभी राहून हिला दोषी ठरवील कारण शलमोनाचे ज्ञान ऐकायला ती पृथ्वीच्या शेवटापासून आली आणि शलमोनापेक्षा महान असा कोणी येथे आहे.”
43 But, when the impure spirit goeth out of the man, it passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, —and findeth it not.
४३“जेव्हा अशुद्ध आत्मा मनुष्यास सोडून बाहेर निघून जातो तेव्हा तो पाणी नसलेल्या ठिकाणाहून विसावा शोधीत फिरतो पण तो त्यास मिळत नाही.
44 Then, it saith, Into my house, will I return whence I came out, —and, coming, findeth it empty [and] swept and adorned.
४४तेव्हा तो म्हणतो, जेथून मी आलो त्या माझ्या घरात मी परत जाईन आणि जेव्हा तो परत येतो तेव्हा ते घर रिकामे असलेले तसेच स्वच्छ व नीटनेटके असे त्यास दिसते.
45 Then, it goeth, and taketh along with itself, seven diverse spirits, more wicked than itself, —and, entering, abideth there; and, the last state of that man, becometh, worse than the first. So, shall it be, with this, wicked, generation.
४५नंतर तो जाऊन आपल्यापेक्षा दुष्ट असे दुसरे सात आणखी आत्मे आपल्याबरोबर घेतो व ते आत शिरून त्यास झपाटतात व त्याच्यात राहतात. मग त्या मनुष्याची शेवटची स्थिति पहिल्यापेक्षा वाईट होते. तसेच आजच्या या पापी पिढीचे होईल.”
46 While yet he was speaking unto the multitudes, lo! his mother and brethren, were standing without, seeking to speak with him.
४६मग तो लोकसमुदायाबरोबर बोलत असता, त्याची आई व त्याचे भाऊ त्याच्याशी बोलण्यासाठी बाहेर वाट पाहत उभे होते.
47 [And one said to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brethren, without, are standing, seeking, to speak, with thee.]
४७तेव्हा कोणीतरी त्यास म्हणाले, “तुमची आई व भाऊ बाहेर उभे आहेत. ते तुमच्याशी बोलण्याची वाट पाहत आहेत.”
48 But, he, answering, said unto him that was telling him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
४८त्याच्याशी बोलणाऱ्याला त्याने उत्तर दिले, “कोण माझी आई? कोण माझा भाऊ?”
49 And, stretching forth his hand towards his disciples, he said, Lo! my mother and my brethren!
४९मग तो आपल्या शिष्यांकडे हात करून म्हणाला, “पाहा, माझी आई व माझे भाऊ हे आहेत.
50 For, whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in the heavens, he, is my, brother, and sister, and mother.
५०कारण माझ्या स्वर्गीय पित्याच्या इच्छेनुसार जे वागतात, तेच माझे भाऊ, बहीण आणि आई.”
