Mark 9
1 And he was saying to them: Verily, say unto you—There, are, certain of those here standing, who shall in nowise taste of death, until they see the kingdom of God, already come in power.
อถ ส ตานวาทีตฺ ยุษฺมภฺยมหํ ยถารฺถํ กถยามิ, อีศฺวรราชฺยํ ปรากฺรเมโณปสฺถิตํ น ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา มฺฤตฺยุํ นาสฺวาทิษฺยนฺเต, อตฺร ทณฺฑายมานานำ มเธฺยปิ ตาทฺฤศา โลกา: สนฺติฯ
2 And, after six days, Jesus taketh with him Peter and James and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain, apart, alone, —and he was transformed before them;
อถ ษฑฺทิเนภฺย: ปรํ ยีศุ: ปิตรํ ยากูพํ โยหนญฺจ คฺฤหีตฺวา คิเรรุจฺจสฺย นิรฺชนสฺถานํ คตฺวา เตษำ ปฺรตฺยกฺเษ มูรฺตฺยนฺตรํ ทธารฯ
3 and his garments became brilliant, exceeding white, such as, no fuller on the earth, is able, so, to whiten.
ตตสฺตสฺย ปริเธยมฺ อีทฺฤศมฺ อุชฺชฺวลหิมปาณฑรํ ชาตํ ยทฺ ชคติ โกปิ รชโก น ตาทฺฤกฺ ปาณฑรํ กรฺตฺตำ ศกฺโนติฯ
4 And there appeared unto them Elijah, with Moses, —and they were conversing with Jesus.
อปรญฺจ เอลิโย มูสาศฺจ เตโภฺย ทรฺศนํ ทตฺตฺวา ยีศุนา สห กถนํ กรฺตฺตุมาเรภาเตฯ
5 And Peter, answering, saith unto Jesus—Rabbi! it is, delightful, for us to be, here, —let us therefore make three tents, for thee, one, and, for Moses, one, and, for Elijah, one;
ตทา ปิตโร ยีศุมวาทีตฺ เห คุโร'สฺมากมตฺร สฺถิติรุตฺตมา, ตเตอว วยํ ตฺวตฺกฺฤเต เอกำ มูสากฺฤเต เอกามฺ เอลิยกฺฤเต ไจกำ, เอตาสฺติสฺร: กุฏี รฺนิรฺมฺมามฯ
6 for he knew not what he should answer, for, greatly affrighted, had they become.
กินฺตุ ส ยทุกฺตวานฺ ตตฺ สฺวยํ น พุพุเธ ตต: สรฺเวฺว พิภยาญฺจกฺรุ: ฯ
7 And there came a cloud, overshadowing them, and there came a voice, out of the cloud, —This is, my Son, the Beloved, Be hearkening unto him.
เอตรฺหิ ปโยทสฺตานฺ ฉาทยามาส, มมยำ ปฺริย: ปุตฺร: กถาสุ ตสฺย มนำสิ นิเวศยเตติ นโภวาณี ตนฺเมทฺยานฺนิรฺยเยาฯ
8 And, suddenly looking round, no longer, saw they, anyone, with them, save, Jesus only.
อถ หฐาตฺเต จตุรฺทิโศ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ยีศุํ วินา ไสฺว: สหิตํ กมปิ น ททฺฤศุ: ฯ
9 And, as they were coming down out of the mountain, he charged them, that, unto no one, they should narrate what they had seen, save whenever the Son of Man, from among the dead should arise.
ตต: ปรํ คิเรรวโรหณกาเล ส ตานฺ คาฒมฺ ทูตฺยาทิเทศ ยาวนฺนรสูโน: ศฺมศานาทุตฺถานํ น ภวติ, ตาวตฺ ทรฺศนสฺยาสฺย วารฺตฺตา ยุษฺมาภิ: กไสฺมจิทปิ น วกฺตวฺยาฯ
10 And, the word, they held fast unto themselves, discussing what was, the rising from among the dead.
ตทา ศฺมศานาทุตฺถานสฺย โกภิปฺราย อิติ วิจารฺยฺย เต ตทฺวากฺยํ เสฺวษุ โคปายาญฺจกฺริเรฯ
11 And they began to question him, saying—The Scribes, say, that, Elijah, must needs come, first?
อถ เต ยีศุํ ปปฺรจฺฉุ: ปฺรถมต เอลิเยนาคนฺตวฺยมฺ อิติ วากฺยํ กุต อุปาธฺยายา อาหุ: ?
12 And, he, said unto them—Elijah, indeed, coming first, restoreth all things; and yet, how is it written, regarding the Son of Man, that, many things, he must suffer, and be set at nought?
ตทา ส ปฺรตฺยุวาจ, เอลิย: ปฺรถมเมตฺย สรฺวฺวการฺยฺยาณิ สาธยิษฺยติ; นรปุเตฺร จ ลิปิ รฺยถาเสฺต ตไถว โสปิ พหุทุ: ขํ ปฺราปฺยาวชฺญาสฺยเตฯ
13 But I say unto you—Elijah also, hath come, and they have done with him, whatsoever they pleased, —according as it is written regarding him.
กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, เอลิยารฺเถ ลิปิ รฺยถาเสฺต ตไถว ส เอตฺย ยเยา, โลกา: เสฺวจฺฉานุรูปํ ตมภิวฺยวหรนฺติ สฺมฯ
14 And, coming unto the disciples, they saw a large multitude around them, and Scribes discussing with them.
อนนฺตรํ ส ศิษฺยสมีปเมตฺย เตษำ จตุ: ปารฺเศฺว ไต: สห พหุชนานฺ วิวทมานานฺ อธฺยาปกำศฺจ ทฺฤษฺฏวานฺ;
15 And, straightway, all the multitude, seeing him, were greatly amazed, and, running near, began saluting him.
กินฺตุ สรฺวฺวโลกาสฺตํ ทฺฤษฺไฏฺวว จมตฺกฺฤตฺย ตทาสนฺนํ ธาวนฺตสฺตํ ปฺรเณมุ: ฯ
16 And he questioned them—What are ye discussing with them?
ตทา ยีศุรธฺยาปกานปฺรากฺษีทฺ เอไต: สห ยูยํ กึ วิวทเธฺว?
17 And one out of the multitude answered him—Teacher! I brought my son unto thee, having a dumb spirit;
ตโต โลกานำ กศฺจิเทก: ปฺรตฺยวาทีตฺ เห คุโร มม สูนุํ มูกํ ภูตธฺฤตญฺจ ภวทาสนฺนมฺ อานยํฯ
18 and, wheresoever it seizeth him, it teareth him, and he foameth, and grindeth his teeth, and weareth himself out; —and I spake to thy disciples, that they should cast it out, and they could not.
ยทาเสา ภูตสฺตมากฺรมเต ตไทว ปาตสติ ตถา ส เผณายเต, ทนฺไตรฺทนฺตานฺ ฆรฺษติ กฺษีโณ ภวติ จ; ตโต เหโตสฺตํ ภูตํ ตฺยาชยิตุํ ภวจฺฉิษฺยานฺ นิเวทิตวานฺ กินฺตุ เต น เศกุ: ฯ
19 But, he, answering, saith—O faithless generation! how long, shall I be with you? how long, shall I bear with you? Bring him unto me!
ตทา ส ตมวาทีตฺ, เร อวิศฺวาสิน: สนฺตานา ยุษฺมาภิ: สห กติ กาลานหํ สฺถาสฺยามิ? อปรานฺ กติ กาลานฺ วา ว อาจารานฺ สหิเษฺย? ตํ มทาสนฺนมานยตฯ
20 And they brought him unto him. And, seeing him, the spirit, straightway tare him, —and, falling upon the ground, he wallowed, foaming.
ตตสฺตตฺสนฺนิธึ ส อานียต กินฺตุ ตํ ทฺฤษฺไฏฺวว ภูโต พาลกํ ธฺฤตวานฺ; ส จ ภูเมา ปติตฺวา เผณายมาโน ลุโลฐฯ
21 And he questioned his father—How long a time, is it, that, this, hath befallen him? and he said—From childhood;
ตทา ส ตตฺปิตรํ ปปฺรจฺฉ, อเสฺยทฺฤศี ทศา กติ ทินานิ ภูตา? ตต: โสวาทีตฺ พาลฺยกาลาตฺฯ
22 and, many times, hath it cast him, both into fire, and into waters, that it might destroy him; but, if anything be possible to thee, help us, have compassion upon us.
ภูโตยํ ตํ นาศยิตุํ พหุวารานฺ วเหฺนา ชเล จ นฺยกฺษิปตฺ กินฺตุ ยทิ ภวาน กิมปิ กรฺตฺตำ ศกฺโนติ ตรฺหิ ทยำ กฺฤตฺวาสฺมานฺ อุปกโรตุฯ
23 And, Jesus, said unto him—As for this, If it be possible to thee, all things, are possible, to him who hath faith.
ตทา ยีศุสฺตมวทตฺ ยทิ ปฺรเตฺยตุํ ศกฺโนษิ ตรฺหิ ปฺรตฺยยิเน ชนาย สรฺวฺวํ สาธฺยมฺฯ
24 Straightway crying out, the father of the child was saying—I have faith! help my, want, of faith.
ตตสฺตตฺกฺษณํ ตทฺพาลกสฺย ปิตา โปฺรจฺไจ รูวนฺ สาศฺรุเนตฺร: โปฺรวาจ, ปฺรโภ ปฺรเตฺยมิ มมาปฺรตฺยยํ ปฺรติกุรุฯ
25 And Jesus, seeing that a multitude is running together, rebuked the impure spirit, saying unto it—Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I, give orders unto thee: Come forth out of him, and do not, any more, enter into him.
อถ ยีศุ โรฺลกสงฺฆํ ธาวิตฺวายานฺตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ตมปูตภูตํ ตรฺชยิตฺวา ชคาท, เร พธิร มูก ภูต ตฺวเมตสฺมาทฺ พหิรฺภว ปุน: กทาปิ มาศฺรไยนํ ตฺวามหมฺ อิตฺยาทิศามิฯ
26 And, crying out, and greatly mangling him, it came forth; and he became as if dead, so that, the more part, were saying—He is dead!
ตทา ส ภูตศฺจีตฺศพฺทํ กฺฤตฺวา ตมาปีฑฺย พหิรฺชชาม, ตโต พาลโก มฺฤตกลฺโป พภูว ตสฺมาทยํ มฺฤตอิตฺยเนเก กถยามาสุ: ฯ
27 But, Jesus, grasping his hand, raised him, and he stood up.
กินฺตุ กรํ ธฺฤตฺวา ยีศุโนตฺถาปิต: ส อุตฺตเสฺถาฯ
28 And, when he had gone into a house, his disciples, privately, were questioning him—Why, were, we, not able to cast it out?
อถ ยีเศา คฺฤหํ ปฺรวิษฺเฏ ศิษฺยา คุปฺตํ ตํ ปปฺรจฺฉุ: , วยเมนํ ภูตํ ตฺยาชยิตุํ กุโต น ศกฺตา: ?
29 And he said unto them—This kind, by nothing, can come out, save, by prayer.
ส อุวาจ, ปฺรารฺถโนปวาเสา วินา เกนาปฺยเนฺยน กรฺมฺมณา ภูตมีทฺฤศํ ตฺยาชยิตุํ น ศกฺยํฯ
30 And, from thence, going forth, they were journeying through Galilee, —and he was not wishing that any should get to know it;
อนนฺตรํ ส ตตฺสฺถานาทิตฺวา คาลีลฺมเธฺยน ยเยา, กินฺตุ ตตฺ โกปิ ชานียาทิติ ส ไนจฺฉตฺฯ
31 for he was teaching his disciples and saying [unto them], The Son of Man, is to be delivered up, into the hands of men, and they will slay him, —and, being slain, after three days, will he arise.
อปรญฺจ ส ศิษฺยานุปทิศนฺ พภาเษ, นรปุโตฺร นรหเสฺตษุ สมรฺปยิษฺยเต เต จ ตํ หนิษฺยนฺติ ไตสฺตสฺมินฺ หเต ตฺฤตียทิเน ส อุตฺถาสฺยตีติฯ
32 But they were not understanding the declaration, and feared, to question, him.
กินฺตุ ตตฺกถำ เต นาพุธฺยนฺต ปฺรษฺฏุญฺจ พิภฺย: ฯ
33 And they came into Capernaum. And, happening to be, in the house, he was questioning them—What, in the way, were ye discussing?
อถ ยีศุ: กผรฺนาหูมฺปุรมาคตฺย มเธฺยคฺฤหญฺเจตฺย ตานปฺฤจฺฉทฺ วรฺตฺมมเธฺย ยูยมโนฺยนฺยํ กึ วิวทเธฺว สฺม?
34 And they were silent; for, with one another, they had discussed in the way, who should be greatest.
กินฺตุ เต นิรุตฺตราสฺตสฺถุ รฺยสฺมาตฺเตษำ โก มุขฺย อิติ วรฺตฺมานิ เต'โนฺยนฺยํ วฺยวทนฺตฯ
35 And, taking a seat, he addressed the twelve, and saith unto them—If anyone willeth to be, first, he shall be, least of all, and, minister of all.
ตต: ส อุปวิศฺย ทฺวาทศศิษฺยานฺ อาหูย พภาเษ ย: กศฺจิตฺ มุโขฺย ภวิตุมิจฺฉติ ส สรฺเวฺวโภฺย เคาณ: สรฺเวฺวษำ เสวกศฺจ ภวตุฯ
36 And, taking a child, he set it in the midst of them, —and, folding it in his arms, said unto them—
ตทา ส พาลกเมกํ คฺฤหีตฺวา มเธฺย สมุปาเวศยตฺ ตตสฺตํ โกฺรเฑ กฺฤตฺวา ตานวาทาตฺ
37 Whosoever, unto, [one of] these children, shall give welcome, upon my name, unto me, giveth welcome; and, whosoever, unto me, giveth welcome, not, unto me, giveth welcome, but, unto him that sent me.
ย: กศฺจิทีทฺฤศสฺย กสฺยาปิ พาลสฺยาติถฺยํ กโรติ ส มมาติถฺยํ กโรติ; ย: กศฺจินฺมมาติถฺยํ กโรติ ส เกวลมฺ มมาติถฺยํ กโรติ ตนฺน มตฺเปฺรรกสฺยาปฺยาติถฺยํ กโรติฯ
38 John said unto him—Teacher! we saw someone, in thy name, casting out demons, —and we forbade him, because he was not following with us.
อถ โยหนฺ ตมพฺรวีตฺ เห คุโร, อสฺมากมนนุคามินมฺ เอกํ ตฺวานฺนามฺนา ภูตานฺ ตฺยาชยนฺตํ วยํ ทฺฤษฺฏวนฺต: , อสฺมากมปศฺจาทฺคามิตฺวาจฺจ ตํ นฺยเษธามฯ
39 But, Jesus, said—Do not forbid him! For, no one, is there, who shall do a work of power in my name, and have power, soon, to revile me;
กินฺตุ ยีศุรวทตฺ ตํ มา นิเษธตฺ, ยโต ย: กศฺจินฺ มนฺนามฺนา จิตฺรํ กรฺมฺม กโรติ ส สหสา มำ นินฺทิตุํ น ศกฺโนติฯ
40 For, whosoever is not, against, us, is, for, us;
ตถา ย: กศฺจิทฺ ยุษฺมากํ วิปกฺษตำ น กโรติ ส ยุษฺมากเมว สปกฺษ: ฯ
41 For, whosoever shall give you to drink a cup of water, in name that, Christ’s, ye are, Verily! I say unto you, in nowise, shall lose his reward.
ย: กศฺจิทฺ ยุษฺมานฺ ขฺรีษฺฏศิษฺยานฺ ชฺญาตฺวา มนฺนามฺนา กํไสเกน ปานียํ ปาตุํ ททาติ, ยุษฺมานหํ ยถารฺถํ วจฺมิ, ส ผเลน วญฺจิโต น ภวิษฺยติฯ
42 And, whosoever shall cause to stumble one of these little ones that believe, it is, seemly, for him, rather, if there is hung a large millstone about his neck, and he is cast into the sea.
กินฺตุ ยทิ กศฺจินฺ มยิ วิศฺวาสินาเมษำ กฺษุทฺรปฺราณินามฺ เอกสฺยาปิ วิฆฺนํ ชนยติ, ตรฺหิ ตไสฺยตตฺกรฺมฺม กรณาตฺ กณฺฐพทฺธเปษณีกสฺย ตสฺย สาคราคาธชล มชฺชนํ ภทฺรํฯ
43 And, if thy hand shall cause thee to stumble, cut it off, —it is, seemly, for thee, maimed, to enter into life, rather than having, the two hands, to depart into the gehenna, into the fire that is not quenched; (Geenna g1067)
อต: สฺวกโร ยทิ ตฺวำ พาธเต ตรฺหิ ตํ ฉินฺธิ;
ยสฺมาตฺ ยตฺร กีฏา น มฺริยนฺเต วหฺนิศฺจ น นิรฺวฺวาติ, ตสฺมินฺ อนิรฺวฺวาณานลนรเก กรทฺวยวสฺตว คมนาตฺ กรหีนสฺย สฺวรฺคปฺรเวศสฺตว เกฺษมํฯ (Geenna g1067)
45 And, if thy foot be causing thee to stumble, cut it off, —it is, seemly, for thee, to enter into life, lame, rather than having, the two feet, to be cast into the gehenna; (Geenna g1067)
ยทิ ตว ปาโท วิฆฺนํ ชนยติ ตรฺหิ ตํ ฉินฺธิ,
ยโต ยตฺร กีฏา น มฺริยนฺเต วหฺนิศฺจ น นิรฺวฺวาติ, ตสฺมินฺ 'นิรฺวฺวาณวเหฺนา นรเก ทฺวิปาทวตสฺตว นิกฺเษปาตฺ ปาทหีนสฺย สฺวรฺคปฺรเวศสฺตว เกฺษมํฯ (Geenna g1067)
47 And, if thine eye be causing thee to stumble, thrust it out, —it is, seemly, for thee, one-eye, to enter into the kingdom of God, rather than having, two eyes, to be cast into gehenna, (Geenna g1067)
สฺวเนตฺรํ ยทิ ตฺวำ พาธเต ตรฺหิ ตทปฺยุตฺปาฏย, ยโต ยตฺร กีฏา น มฺริยนฺเต วหฺนิศฺจ น นิรฺวฺวาติ,
48 Where, their worm, dieth not, and, the fire, is not quenched,
ตสฺมิน 'นิรฺวฺวาณวเหฺนา นรเก ทฺวิเนตฺรสฺย ตว นิกฺเษปาทฺ เอกเนตฺรวต อีศฺวรราเชฺย ปฺรเวศสฺตว เกฺษมํฯ (Geenna g1067)
49 For, everyone, with fire, shall be salted.
ยถา สรฺโวฺว พลิ รฺลวณากฺต: กฺริยเต ตถา สรฺโวฺว ชโน วหฺนิรูเปณ ลวณากฺต: การิษฺยเตฯ
50 Salt is, good: but, if, salt, become, saltless, wherewith will ye, prepare, it? Have, within yourselves, salt, and be at peace, one with another.
ลวณํ ภทฺรํ กินฺตุ ยทิ ลวเณ สฺวาทุตา น ติษฺฐติ, ตรฺหิ กถมฺ อาสฺวาทฺยุกฺตํ กริษฺยถ? ยูยํ ลวณยุกฺตา ภวต ปรสฺปรํ เปฺรม กุรุตฯ
