1 And the Pharisees and certain of the Scribes who have come from Jerusalem gather themselves together unto him;

2 and, observing certain of his disciples, that, with defiled hands, that is unwashed, they are eating bread, ——
Pharisi loong ih Jisu liphante loong mararah ih neng lak enyaan ih phaksah arah jatjoh rumta erah langla neng laktiimuh ih phaksah rumta eno erah ah Pharisi loong ih kah nyoot rumta jun ih tah angta. (
3 For, the Pharisees, and all the Jews, unless with care they wash their hands, eat not, holding fast the tradition of the elders;
Pharisi, nyia Jehudi, nok hah ih nengte nengwah ih nyootta banlam ah phan rumta: neng ih laktiimuh ih laphaksat jih,
4 and coming from market, unless they sprinkle themselves, they eat not, —and, many other things, there are, which they have accepted to hold fast—immersions of cups and measures and copper vessels——

5 and so the Pharisees and the Scribes, question, him—For what cause do thy disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but, with defiled hands, eat bread?
Erah raangtaan ih Pharisi nyia Hootthe nyootte loong eh Jisu suh cheng rumta, “An liphante loong ih sengte sengwah ih kota banlam ah laphan mamet rumha, neng laktiimuh ih mamet phaksah rumha?”
6 But, he, said unto them—Well, prophesied Isaiah concerning you, ye hypocrites, as it is written—This people, with the lips do honour me, while, their heart, far off, holdeth from me, —
Jisu ih ngaakbaat rumta, “Isaia ih sen loong tiit ah mamet punbaat kota! Heh ih raangthiinta likhiik sen loong ah lonoite: ‘Rangte ih liita, arah miloong eh bah, neng tuikhoop nawa ih soomtu rumhang, amiimi doh bah neng tenthun ah nga jiin nawa haloh dook ang ah.
7 But, in vain, do they pay devotions unto me, teaching for teachings, the commandments of men;
Nga rangsoom rumha ah thaangmuh ang ah, tumeah neng eh mina ih hoon arah Hootthe ah nyoot rumha. Nga Hootthe ang arah likhiik ah!’
8 Having, dismissed, the commandment, of God, ye, hold fast, the tradition, of men.
“Sen ih Rangte jengdang ah thiinhaat anno mina ih nyootsoot ha ah kap han.”
9 And he was saying to them—Well, do ye set aside the commandment of God, that, your own tradition, ye may observe;
Jisu ih toombaat ruh etta, “Sen ih Rangte hootthe ah mongwah maakwah tenthun lam ih dut haat han eno sen ih nyootsoot han banlam ah toonjoh han.
10 For, Moses, said—Honour thy father and thy mother, and—He that revileth father or mother, let him, surely die, —
Moses jengdang ni raangta, ‘Annuh anwah jengkhaap ah echaat etheng,’ erah damdi, ‘O ih heh nuh heh wah suh jengthih jengla erah etek haat etheng.’
11 But, ye, say—If a man shall say to his father or his mother, Korban! that is, A gift, whatsoever, out of me, thou mightest be profited,
Enoothong sen ih amet nyoot han, heh nuh heh wah chosok suh tumjih tumjih je abah, heh ih liita ‘Arah Korban’ (erah langla Rangte lakbi),
12 no longer, do ye suffer him to do, aught, for his father or his mother, —
Erah likhiik sen Pharisi loong ah ih sennuh senwah lajap sokboi suh liitan.
13 cancelling the word of God by your tradition which ye have delivered. And, many such similar things, are ye doing!
Emamah sen ih wahoh loong asuh ki nyootsoot anno Rangte jengkhaap ah takap thuk kan. Erah damdi uh jaatrep sen ih emamah moong reeraang kah anrah ephoop je ah.”
14 And, again calling near the multitude, he was saying unto them—Hearken to me, all! and understand:
Eno Jisu ih miloong ah we lompoon rum ano baatta, “Loongtang ih, nga jeng ah boichaat anno, samjat et an.
15 Nothing, is there, from without the man, entering into him, which can defile him; but, the things which, out of the man, come forth, are the things that defile the man.
Tumjih bah uh sen sak ni rangkhoh nawa wangla rah ih sen ah tanyaan siit ran. Erah nang ih senten senmong nawa ra hala rah ih thong nyaansiit halan.”
Sen na je anbah, chaat et an!
17 And, when he entered into a house from the multitudes, his disciples began to question him as to the parable;
Midung nawa heh nok ni wangta adi, heliphante loong ah ih tiitthaak ah tumjih suh liita rah hukbaat suh cheng rumta.
18 And he saith unto them—Thus, are, ye also, without discernment? Perceive ye not that, nothing, from without, entering into the man, can defile him;
“Sen ah mihoh loong nang ih jatwah maakwah taboh angkan,” Jisu ih liirumta. “Sen ih tanih samjat kan? Sen sak ni rangkhoh nawa wangla rah ih bah amiimi di tanyaan siit ran,
19 because it entereth not into his heart, but into his stomach, and, into the draught, is passed—purifying all foods?
tumeah erah sen ten ni tawangka wok ni ba wangla eno ewe ngaakkaat ela.” (Erah jen baat ano Jisu ih jaatrep phaksat ejen phaksah et ah ih dokbaat korumta.)
20 And he was saying—That which, out of the man, cometh forth, that, defileth the man;
Eno Jisu ih boot baat rumta, “Sen ten nawa tumjaat dong ra hala rah ih ba thetsiit halan.
21 For, from within, out of the heart of men, the base designs, come forth, —fornications, thefts,
Tumeah sen mong nawa ethih mongtham dong hala rah ih, sen ah jootthih mootkaat ni siit halan, mih put tenthun, etek haat tenthun,
22 murders, adulteries, covetousnesses, knaveries, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, profane speaking, foolishness, —
mih minuh miwah damdoh roomjup tenthun, nyamnyook tenthun, nyia jaatrep ethih loong tenthun; mookwaan mui tenthun, lapun lalam tenthun, miksuk mui tenthun, mih thetbaat tenthun, engaampo tenthun, nyia elang lalang ih reeraang tenthun loong adi siit halan—
23 all these wicked things, from within, come forth, and defile, the man.
erah ethih tenthun loong ah sen ten seng mong nawa dong hala eno sen ah enyaan ih hoon thuk halan.”
24 And, from thence arising, he departed into the bounds of Tyre [and Zidon]. And, entering into a house, he was wishing, no one, to know it, and yet could not escape notice, —
Eno Jisu erah dowa dokkhoom ano Tairi samnuthung re ko ih kata. Nok esiit ni heh ah nop wangta eno heh erah di oih uh naktoom jat ah ih thunta, ang abah uh heh tajen hottongta.
25 but, straightway, a woman hearing about him, whose daughter had an impure spirit, she came and fell down at his feet.
Minuh esiit, heh sah minusah sak ni chiithih laakhah pan ang arah, ih Jisu raak ah chaat ano echaan ih heh lathong ni kotbon kata.
26 Now, the woman, was a Grecian, a Syrophoenician by race, —and she was requesting him that, the demon, he would cast forth out of her daughter.
Erah nuh rah hahote angta Phonisia deek Siria hadaang ni tup arah ah. Minuh rah ih heh sah sak nawa chiithih laakhah rah dokphan raangtaan ih Jisu lasih ah jota.
27 And he was saying to her—Suffer, the children, first, to be fed; for it is not seemly to take the bread of the children, and, unto the little dogs, to cast it;
Eno Jisu ih ngaakbaatta, “Jaakhoh noodek asuh phaksat raang kottheng. Noodek phaksat ah nge ano hui suh haatkoh ah tapunka.
28 but she answered and saith to him—Yea, Lord! and yet, the little dogs under the table, do eat of the crumbs of the children;
“Minuh ah ih ngaak liita, “Chuupha,” “Teebun nawa phaksat thaaja arah botseh hui ih katoon sah ah!”
29 and he said to her—Because of this word, go thy way, the demon hath gone forth out of thy daughter;
Eno Jisu ih minuh asuh liita, “Epun baat et hu, an nok nah ngaak wang uh, an sah sak nawa chiithih laakhah rah doksoon cho tupwang uh!”
30 and, departing unto her house, she found the child laid prostrate on the couch, and the demon gone forth.
Eno erah nuh ah nok ni wang ano heh sah ah juptheng ni jup arah japtup wangta; chiithih laakhah rah heh sak nawa doksoon cho angta.
31 And, again coming forth out of the bounds of Tyre, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the bounds of Decapolis.
Eno Jisu Tairi hadaang re ko nawa dokkhoom ano Sidoon lam ih Galili juungsitum ko ni nyia Samthung Hah Asih ko ih kata.
32 And they bring to him one deaf and stammering, and beseech him that he would lay upon him his hand.
Erah di mararah ih Jisu reeni naabaang nyia jengtah ang arah siitjah rum taha, eno Jisu suh an lak ih taajoh weeuh ih heh lasih joh rumta.
33 And, taking him away from the multitude apart, he thrust his fingers into his ears, and, spitting, touched his tongue;
Erah thoidi Jisu ih midung nawa heh laklak ih doksiit kaatta, eno heh laktiik ih heh na adi kepta, heh took ah phoh ano heh tuihih adi taajota.
34 and, looking up into the heaven, sighed deeply, and saith unto him—Ephphatha! that is, Be opened!
Eno Jisu ah rangko ih toonsok ano, thungthet lam ih erah mih asuh liita, “Ephphatha,” erah langla “Laang uh!” ih liita.
35 and his ears opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, —and he was speaking correctly.
Erah damdam heh na ah laangta, heh jeng uh laangloolo ih miijengta, eno latanyah thang ih waantiitta.
36 And he charged them that they should be telling, no one, —but, as much as to them he gave charge, they, exceeding more abundantly, were making proclamation.
Jisu ih erah tiitwaan ah o suh uh nak baat an ih miloong asuh baat rumta; erah bah uh mathan taat haam ah, erah thanthan ih jaawaan karumta.
37 And, superabundantly, were they being struck with astonishment, saying—Well, hath he, all things, done, —both, the deaf, he causeth to hear, and, the dumb, to speak.
O mina ih japchaatta loong ah rapne ih paatja rumta. “Erathan mame jen re la!” neng ih liita. “Engong nyia naabaang anep jen jeng thuk ha nyia jen chaat thuk ha!”
