Mark 7
1 And the Pharisees and certain of the Scribes who have come from Jerusalem gather themselves together unto him;
येरूशलेम नगर से फ़रीसियों तथा कुछ शास्त्रियों ने आकर मसीह येशु को घेर लिया.
2 and, observing certain of his disciples, that, with defiled hands, that is unwashed, they are eating bread, ——
उन्होंने देखा कि मसीह येशु के कुछ शिष्य सांस्कारिक रूप से अशुद्ध हाथों से (बिना धोए हुए हाथों से) भोजन कर रहे हैं.
3 For, the Pharisees, and all the Jews, unless with care they wash their hands, eat not, holding fast the tradition of the elders;
फ़रीसी और सभी यहूदी हाथों को भली-भांति धोए बिना भोजन नहीं करते. ऐसा करते हुए वे पूर्वजों से चली आ रही प्रथाओं का पालन करते थे.
4 and coming from market, unless they sprinkle themselves, they eat not, —and, many other things, there are, which they have accepted to hold fast—immersions of cups and measures and copper vessels——
बाजार से लौटने पर वे स्वयं को पारम्परिक रीति से शुद्ध किए बिना भोजन नहीं करते थे. वे चली आ रही अन्य अनेक प्रथाओं का पालन करते चले आए थे जैसे, कटोरों, घड़ों तथा पकाने के तांबे के बर्तनों का धोना.
5 and so the Pharisees and the Scribes, question, him—For what cause do thy disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but, with defiled hands, eat bread?
फ़रीसियों तथा शास्त्रियों ने मसीह येशु से प्रश्न किया, “तुम्हारे शिष्य पूर्वजों से चली आ रही प्रथाओं का पालन क्यों नहीं करते? वे अशुद्ध हाथों से भोजन करते हैं.”
6 But, he, said unto them—Well, prophesied Isaiah concerning you, ye hypocrites, as it is written—This people, with the lips do honour me, while, their heart, far off, holdeth from me, —
मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “तुम पाखंडियों के लिए भविष्यवक्ता यशायाह की यह भविष्यवाणी ठीक ही है: “‘ये लोग मात्र अपने होंठों से मेरा सम्मान करते हैं, किंतु उनके हृदय मुझसे बहुत दूर हैं.
7 But, in vain, do they pay devotions unto me, teaching for teachings, the commandments of men;
मेरे प्रति उनकी उपासना व्यर्थ है. उनकी शिक्षाएं मात्र मनुष्य के मस्तिष्क की उपज हैं.’
8 Having, dismissed, the commandment, of God, ye, hold fast, the tradition, of men.
आप लोग मनुष्यों की परंपराओं का तो पालन करते जाते हैं किंतु परमेश्वर की आज्ञा को टालते जाते हैं.”
9 And he was saying to them—Well, do ye set aside the commandment of God, that, your own tradition, ye may observe;
मसीह येशु ने उनसे यह भी कहा, “आप लोग कितनी सुविधापूर्वक परंपराओं का पालन करने के लिए परमेश्वर की आज्ञा को टाल देते हैं!
10 For, Moses, said—Honour thy father and thy mother, and—He that revileth father or mother, let him, surely die, —
मोशेह की आज्ञा है, ‘अपने माता-पिता का सम्मान करो और वह, जो माता या पिता के प्रति बुरे शब्द बोले, उसे मृत्यु दंड दिया जाए.’
11 But, ye, say—If a man shall say to his father or his mother, Korban! that is, A gift, whatsoever, out of me, thou mightest be profited,
किंतु आपका कहना है, ‘यदि कोई व्यक्ति अपने पिता या माता से इस प्रकार कहे, मेरी संपत्ति में से जो कुछ आपकी सहायता के लिए उपलब्ध हो सकता था, वह कोरबान है अर्थात् परमेश्वर को समर्पित,’
12 no longer, do ye suffer him to do, aught, for his father or his mother, —
इसके द्वारा आप उसे अपने पिता और अपनी माता के लिए कुछ भी करने नहीं देते.
13 cancelling the word of God by your tradition which ye have delivered. And, many such similar things, are ye doing!
अपनी इस प्रथा के द्वारा, जो पूर्वजों से चली आई है, आप परमेश्वर के वचन को टाल देते हैं. आप ऐसे ही अनेक काम किया करते हैं.”
14 And, again calling near the multitude, he was saying unto them—Hearken to me, all! and understand:
इसके बाद मसीह येशु ने भीड़ को दोबारा अपने पास बुलाकर उसे संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “तुम सब मेरी सुनो और समझो:
15 Nothing, is there, from without the man, entering into him, which can defile him; but, the things which, out of the man, come forth, are the things that defile the man.
ऐसी कोई वस्तु नहीं, जो मनुष्य में बाहर से प्रवेश कर उसे अशुद्ध कर सके. मनुष्य को अशुद्ध तो वह करता है, जो उसके भीतर से बाहर निकल आता है. [
जिसके सुनने के कान हों, वह सुन ले.]”
17 And, when he entered into a house from the multitudes, his disciples began to question him as to the parable;
जब भीड़ से विदा ले वह घर में आ गए, उनके शिष्यों ने उनसे इस दृष्टांत के विषय में प्रश्न किया.
18 And he saith unto them—Thus, are, ye also, without discernment? Perceive ye not that, nothing, from without, entering into the man, can defile him;
इसके उत्तर में मसीह येशु ने कहा, “क्या तुममें भी बुद्धि का इतना अभाव है? क्या तुम्हें समझ नहीं आया कि जो कुछ मनुष्य में बाहर से प्रवेश करता है, उसे अशुद्ध नहीं कर सकता
19 because it entereth not into his heart, but into his stomach, and, into the draught, is passed—purifying all foods?
क्योंकि वह उसके हृदय में नहीं, परंतु उसके पेट में जाता है और बाहर निकल जाता है!” इस प्रकार मसीह येशु ने सभी प्रकार के भोजन को स्वच्छ घोषित कर दिया.
20 And he was saying—That which, out of the man, cometh forth, that, defileth the man;
“जो मनुष्य में से बाहर आता है, वही मनुष्य को अशुद्ध करता है.
21 For, from within, out of the heart of men, the base designs, come forth, —fornications, thefts,
मनुष्य के भीतर से—मनुष्य के हृदय ही से—बुरे विचार बाहर आते हैं, जो उसे चोरी, हत्या, व्यभिचार,
22 murders, adulteries, covetousnesses, knaveries, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, profane speaking, foolishness, —
लोभ, दुराचारिता, छल-कपट, कामुकता, जलन, निंदा, अहंकार तथा मूर्खता की ओर लगा देते हैं.
23 all these wicked things, from within, come forth, and defile, the man.
ये सभी अवगुण मनुष्य के अंदर से बाहर आते तथा उसे अशुद्ध करते हैं.”
24 And, from thence arising, he departed into the bounds of Tyre [and Zidon]. And, entering into a house, he was wishing, no one, to know it, and yet could not escape notice, —
मसीह येशु वहां से निकलकर सोर प्रदेश में चले गए, जहां वह एक घर में ठहरे हुए थे और नहीं चाहते थे कि भीड़ को उनके विषय में कुछ मालूम हो किंतु उनका वहां आना छिप न सका.
25 but, straightway, a woman hearing about him, whose daughter had an impure spirit, she came and fell down at his feet.
उनके विषय में सुनकर एक स्त्री उनसे भेंट करने वहां आई जिसकी पुत्री दुष्टात्मा से पीड़ित थी. वहां प्रवेश करते ही वह मसीह येशु के चरणों पर जा गिरी.
26 Now, the woman, was a Grecian, a Syrophoenician by race, —and she was requesting him that, the demon, he would cast forth out of her daughter.
वह स्त्री यूनानी थी—सुरोफ़ॉयनिकी जाति की. वह मसीह येशु से विनती करती रही कि वह उसकी पुत्री में से दुष्टात्मा को निकाल दें.
27 And he was saying to her—Suffer, the children, first, to be fed; for it is not seemly to take the bread of the children, and, unto the little dogs, to cast it;
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “पहले बालकों को तो तृप्त हो जाने दो! बालकों को परोसा भोजन उनसे लेकर कुत्तों को देना सही नहीं!”
28 but she answered and saith to him—Yea, Lord! and yet, the little dogs under the table, do eat of the crumbs of the children;
किंतु इसके उत्तर में उस स्त्री ने कहा, “सच है प्रभु, किंतु कुत्ते भी तो बालकों की मेज़ पर से गिरे टुकड़ों से अपना पेट भर लेते हैं.”
29 and he said to her—Because of this word, go thy way, the demon hath gone forth out of thy daughter;
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “तुम्हारे इस उत्तर का परिणाम यह है कि दुष्टात्मा तुम्हारी पुत्री को छोड़कर जा चुकी है. घर लौट जाओ.”
30 and, departing unto her house, she found the child laid prostrate on the couch, and the demon gone forth.
घर पहुंचकर उसने अपनी पुत्री को बिछौने पर लेटा हुआ पाया. दुष्टात्मा उसे छोड़कर जा चुकी थी.
31 And, again coming forth out of the bounds of Tyre, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the bounds of Decapolis.
तब वह सोर के क्षेत्र से निकलकर सीदोन क्षेत्र से होते हुए गलील झील के पास आए, जो देकापोलिस अंचल में था.
32 And they bring to him one deaf and stammering, and beseech him that he would lay upon him his hand.
लोग उनके पास एक ऐसे व्यक्ति को लाए जो बहिरा था तथा बड़ी कठिनाई से बोल पाता था. लोगों ने मसीह येशु से उस व्यक्ति पर हाथ रखने की विनती की.
33 And, taking him away from the multitude apart, he thrust his fingers into his ears, and, spitting, touched his tongue;
मसीह येशु उस व्यक्ति को भीड़ से दूर एकांत में ले गए. वहां उन्होंने उसके कानों में अपनी उंगलियां डालीं. इसके बाद अपनी लार उसकी जीभ पर लगाई.
34 and, looking up into the heaven, sighed deeply, and saith unto him—Ephphatha! that is, Be opened!
तब एक गहरी आह भरते हुए स्वर्ग की ओर दृष्टि उठाकर उन्होंने उस व्यक्ति को संबोधित कर कहा, “एफ़्फ़ाथा!” (अर्थात् खुल जा!)
35 and his ears opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, —and he was speaking correctly.
उस व्यक्ति के कान खुल गए, उसकी जीभ की रुकावट भी जाती रही और वह सामान्य रूप से बातें करने लगा.
36 And he charged them that they should be telling, no one, —but, as much as to them he gave charge, they, exceeding more abundantly, were making proclamation.
मसीह येशु ने लोगों को आज्ञा दी कि वे इसके विषय में किसी से न कहें किंतु मसीह येशु जितना रोकते थे, वे उतना ही अधिक प्रचार करते जाते थे.
37 And, superabundantly, were they being struck with astonishment, saying—Well, hath he, all things, done, —both, the deaf, he causeth to hear, and, the dumb, to speak.
लोग आश्चर्य से भरकर कहा करते थे, “वह जो कुछ करते हैं, भला ही करते हैं—यहां तक कि वह बहिरे को सुनने की तथा गूंगे को बोलने की शक्ति प्रदान करते हैं.”
